They do, I think they have a day where the guild alliance does WvW. I’ve since left so I can’t say for sure. Have you been having fun on RoS?

I joked to Psychotic about this, and now it comes true. I’d love if certain guys talked about our blobs though! Some people on Blacktide used magic find food all the time, I’d prefer upscales to be honest. :p

Awww, it’s a shame to hear you’re considering moving. Because I really like your attitude! There has been times when I’ve wondered what it’s like playing on a server that’s organised and in a tight match etc. I’d only ever considered moving if all my WvW friends moved to the same server though.

I heard there was a server wide voice set up ages ago, but no one used it. Hmm. I think it was set up by [PvP]? Ahhh, how I remember [PvP]….. So I don’t think there is one, but it would probably help. Though I’m far too shy to even listen in. :<

This may sound ignorant, but how does knowing which server you face beforehand help you organise? Is it because some servers/guilds do the same thing every reset and so you want to counter that? Honest question, I’m not part of anything organised for WvW myself so I’m curious. :>

Last night there was a duel thing outside woodhaven near the sentry, more high traffic than the windmill. Of course not all will understand duel rules, but might have better luck there. Hope you find some good fights!

That’s right. Most of my duels seemed to end up as draws, I don’t think I’m built for 1vs1 hehe. Maybe I should bring a different class for duels next time, but I feel like playing guardian… Serious problems here.

The north camp is the safest to get to, so if you’re a small group expect lots.
Did I duel you the otherday perhaps? At the windmill in Vabbi BL. I’m a Charr guardian if that helps.

Norn men have the best /cry EVER. Earlier in the match you came across me near Stargrove, and did some emotes. Then you got zerged. xD But yeah, you did the cry emote there and I was laughing a bit too much at how great it looked.

I’ve never really been in a situaton where I can spawn camp, but I’d say it would be best if you went further away and give them less chance to run. You have spirit so you’re very likely to have people to fight. Perhaps let them start taking the camp and the fight? No side will have npc’s then. I have, with a small goup, fought outside Blacktides spawn and it’s best to lure them into a false sense of safety.

I hope you won’t paint us all like that, and believe me I dislike seeing us run to the spawn to attack from. I like /siting in my towns clothes in our spawn where it spills over on the battlefield, but not much point in attacking anyone. Because you don’t really learn anything.
Saying that though, I’m not sure how we can get people to stop doing it. I’m guessing getting people to all attack somewhere else would help. I don’t really have much clout in that regards though, and people barely listen on a good day. Probably why 3 commanders hoped servers recently. :< /emoweep

Btw, there is a place you can jump into the enemy citadel I believe, and the other spawns you can stealth/use leaps to get past the legendary defenders.

There’s people on all servers that will only fight if they outnumber the enemy. Even RoF. :p And you didn’t say certain players in your post, you said all of us (FoW and Vabbi). That’s the way I read it anyway. I’m not a good, how do you say, ‘forum warrior’. Am I doing it right?

It feels like a lot of our guys are pretty nervous PvPers. Not going to fault them for that, and if any are reading I’m not trying to insult you. Of course, I’m not fighting us so I cant’t say for sure. I suppose it’s the same as running to a tower or camp when loosing. I’m not trying to make excuses for them, just my opinion. It’s just the way you said it was all of FoW and Vabbi. I started out very nervous, still am really. I wouldn’t fight while invincible though as I wouldn’t learn anything.
I did also notice a lot more of our peeps using the area at Woodhaven to fight in, sometimes the large zerg there is scary hehe. Obviously not in the case you just said, but when people get into the habit…

I thought we were past the name calling by now. Anyway. What do you expect when you push us so hard all the time? Blacktide did the same but rarely attacked us at our spawn like that. I’m assuming you’re talking about the area near Woodhaven.

I agree Roye! (You’re Roye ingame right? haha) He managed to eventually wear you down at the mill I think? I started sweating when he called me out knowing that. I think I managed my cooldowns a bit better knowing he was good, I can get a bit ‘press ALL the buttons’… So I learned something hopefully!

Yeah, stayed up late again, shame on me. Found some dueling out by the ole woodhaven though! I got to fight that necromancer legend, I was so on edge for most of it! I was in real trouble at one point, had to kite a bit for my heal to come off cooldown. I’m guessing I was boring to fight though, haha. xD Had fun watching though and I bought fireworks again.

Princess Rhaz wanted fights. He is not amused by lags.

No need to apoligise for those guys. I fought the yesterday(I think) And even 1v3 they had trouble killing me. Total brag ohmygosh. I saw some FoW guys doing the same earlier, just the way it goes sometimes. You could totally punish anyone causing trouble on our servers though haha.
I was a bit nervous to fight in front of some many people hehe. I did have some duels eventually, but ended up lagging so I had to leave. I couldn’t join the party of the S/D TaG thief I was fighting to say sorry. I hope someone can pass it on, thanks. :> Still, exciting! Thanks for hosting.

This scenario has been happening in T9 in EU for months now. This new matchup system should cause more rotation in and out of T9 than previously occurred. The real issue here is that Fissure of Woe and Vabbi are usually facing this sort of problem.

Perhaps you’ll get a better match next week, some other servers got a bum rap like yours did (Gunnar’s Hold and Arborstone for instance).

A serious question to people roaming this evening. Do I look scary? People only fought me with four or more people. A guild group of three +one even used thieves guild and hounds of balthazar on me. 4v1 not good enough odds? I realise this is the solo roamers life, but after all the people saying how bored they were I thought some would engage on even terms. Perhaps even have fun. Yeah yeah, fools hope.

I did have a good fight near Stargrove with 2 thieves, until like 5+ adds came along. Respect to the [RUS] d/d thief for that.

I am also running around completely alone looking for something to fight. But so far i have only gotten people who are also alone run straight away as fast as possible. or people running and then finding a teammate(s) and then making impossible odds against you instead of just stopping, turning around and accepting a challange.

At this point, i do not see getting the monthly wvw mist invaders killed unachievable.

I saw this, and despite telling myself I wouldn’t stay up late, I logged in. I got two 1vs1’s and then a period where I sat myself on the road from hills to garrison. Everyone ran past me. Then, random ranger came rushing at me. I though, he’s confident this will be a good fight! But alas he had a friend.
Not a QQ post btw, I accepted death in WvW a long time ago haha. I’ll get more than a few days experience on ranger and hopefully be a challenge myself one day. :>

I’ll be honest, I thought the 600+ rating difference would have prevented us from ever seeing Ring of Fire… Seems like some other servers have bad deals too.
I’m sure you’ll all kill me multiple times as I try in vain to be a better player. Don’t loot my body too roughly, it’s Psy who likes it rough. ^.~

Well, while the so called alliance was going on there was Vabbi groups coming to our BL while yours was all green. Such is human nature. I’m sure anyone who has tried to stop their server mates attacking someone will attest to that.
By the way, Vabbi BL is my last choice of map and I personally have only been there about 5 times. Some friends recenty joined [Jd] so I’ve gone to play with them and Psy sure does love your hills.

But I’ll take your middle finger and remember it. Maybe I’ll come die in your BL instead of getting run over by BT in mine, for a change!

Hehe, I think for some red = dead, plus so much of the map was red at that time I think they were worried about seeing a vabbi zerg come rolling in. Alexei did try to stop them, but the bloodlust is strong. I mean one guy on his lonesome? The answer was to zerg him. :D

Well with the new random matchups Blacktide won’t be fighting us every week. Doesn’t help Vabbi or Fow much of course. I saw someone had worked out we’d be matched with each other 99% of the time hehe. Don’t forget about us nubs though while you’re having an exciting week. :p

I have to say this has been a great match-up, when i play the ticks are always pretty equal, plus there’s always people around to fight. Not much more you could ask for in a match-up.

Looking forward to our GvG against FIRE tomorrow, and against janthres and co. on Wednesday.

I didn’t play WvW much this week. However when I did play on the weekend we, FoW, were actually winning. Looking at the scores this is the probably the most balanced week for us, ever haha.
I can understand your frustration though. Do you run with your zerg? I personally find zerging boring, so I started running with some guildies in our own little ‘zerg’ (5-6 at max). Even though we often get run over by a larger group it’s still the most fun I have in WvW. :> Infact, playing without them is boring. xD

There is only one solution. We on FoW and our friends on Vabbi must ‘get busy’ and indoctrinate a new generation… errr I mean something less sinister sounding. Yes.
Lets transfer instead. I hear our old bff RoS is nice this time of year. :D

Had some more exciting fights tonight! We started off as two having some good skirmishes at the southern supply camp/ruins while the rest of our forces fought around bay. We ended up as 5 and fighting with some other guys in Arborstone BL over the tower nearest our spawn. Was a good night overall. I’m not saying we win all the time, as we’re often too slow to run when a big group comes, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves. :>

Shout out to Psychotic for giving his all and trying to get people to listen/follow tonight! You have more patience than I.

By the way I’m having fun, even at the reset when we lost everything in short order. Me and a some guildies had some awesome fights! I know the situation looks dire but look on the bright side, we never have queues and little lag. :D

I will say it saddens me that even in our matchup it’s mostly zerging/karma training. Even we do it. :< Plenty didn’t really care for defence before WXP to be honest. There was times an attack was called out and everyone stayed attacking a tower or something. Of course I realise it can be good to know that your enemy is at a tower while you try attack, or prepare what you think is their next target. Doesn’t feel like it happens enough hehe.
I do join our zergs when I don’t feel like running on my own, mostly because I’m super bad. :p A shout out to all who break away from their zergs to skirmish!
