Re my problem as its going round in circles here, as always had great support over the last 7 years from Anet/Ncsoft.

My reference……. credit card purchase [Incident: 120912-002924]

I did get a reply stating was my card company see below stating your stance

After resolving that issue with your financial institution, please wait a full 24 hours from your very last transaction attempt, then try the transaction again. Please be sure to use >>>>> as the e-mail address when purchasing.

The first few attempts yes (lag at page)then it was resolved see order number below.

Now I have spoken to my company and they have stated its not there end as…
There security……….

…….My card is a Pre -Pay..used over 5 years on gw1…….
There response ..YES we flagged your card for the following reasons…

NCSoft are trying to make your account a Direct Debit..
This is not Allowed on any Pre-paid Mastercard…
Advise Ncsoft that our(Mastercard) does not permit this
They have stated it will be flagged again until Ncsoft do not try the above
As any Pre -paid card only allows 1 purchase at a time ..security .

I purchased this pre -pay when Ncsoft stopped Meastro 5 years ago.

So this is catch 22 here each stating its each ones security problem with no thought to the customer.

hi I think I have the answer to all this…. Failed on purchase

I was in contact with my card company and they have given the reasons for flagging.

As there security will not do the following.

Hi there , on contacting my card holder they have informed me of the following,

they did flag my card as………………………………………………………

Ncsoft are trying to make the account a Direct Debit.

This cannot be done on any Pre-paid card. (Mastercard)

these are for one of payments and should be as such.

Therefore you will encounter this on any pre-paid Mastercard.

I have been using this card for over 5 years on Guildwars 1 when they stopped Maestro card.
…………
so they must make the account as 1 off payments re security on pre -paid cards not direct debit.

So please advise as I only have pre-paid or maestro and what the alternative is.

Therefore the support to askt wait for 24 hours then try again will not work as they problem is ..Pre-paid cards cannot be made as a direct debit

So will you please adise what can I do to purchase

I have a similar issue.

I have purchased before and after a lot of probs it was ratified.
I tried to purchase Gems on the 12th it states ..Failed…..
To-day I tried agin to see if it was ratified …No states ..FAILED
i Tried to login into Support from the game it states.. Blocked / incorrect password
so I cannot even update my ticket now .

Hi Gaile, as a long time gw player and always had a speedy response re any ticket , this one seems to be giving some kind of confusion
1. My support ticket on the 12th …..credit card purchase [Incident: 120912-002924]

2. I went to purchase more Gems and it asked to confirm if the account is correct re last digits I agreed and it said..Failed

3. I have already purchased Gems as an altholic before I give you the reference number

4.As this is a pre .pay card and only used for GW over 5 years,I have confirmed with the Company there are sufficent funds to proceed and not been flagged by them.

5.I tried to purchase to-day it came up ..Failed again…..now when I try to log into support within game it says account Disabled/wrong password.

6. My accounts from GW1/2 merged albeit from a alt account that has Gwamm ect,
If you could please look into the matter for myself , it does not stop me from playing ect , just a little thing that when you guys have time you could ratify

well I dont agree , leave it as it is.

On a few alts when I have seen this often when I reach it, its all over.

Have to remember not everyones playstyle is not the same as yourself.

Just go with the flow
