-In order to make money, the company has to make enough content for the players to be interested in the game and make interesting cash shop content for the players to buy them
Why doesn’t Guild Wars 2 have a barber shop? Instead it cost 250 gems to simply change your hair style. In every other big MMO you can change hair style freely at a very low cost, while in this game it either cost you so much gold every time you change your hair or you have to pay like $3
