I wouldn’t be too bothered by it if I knew it was coming more often, I have counters for burst classes that are hilarious in action as they blow their cooldowns and then notice I have over 75% of my health still left and they have nothing because they don’t have the skill for proper combat.

My problem with Thieves (and Mesmers too, actually) is that their stealth mechanics are totally broken to the point that they can attack me in stealth and get 3-4 heartseekers off before they even become visible to me.

I do admit if you know what to look for you can still counter them but that tell-tale puff of black smoke is meant to signify that they are visible again where at the moment it just gives you a notice that they can kill you but still have between 1 and 4 seconds before they actually become visible.

I actually think Rangers get some of the best abilities when downed for reasons stated by others. Having your pet able to revive you is also hugely useful as it gives you that edge over other downed players when you and an enemy knock each other down.

I’d suggest anyone grab the wolf as a pet too as he gets two CC’s that stop enemies from attacking you which often gives you enough time to get off two lightning strikes making it just so much harder for an enemy to take you down.

Hopefully they’ll fix pets not using their abilities at the right times and pets not healing you when you’re downed sometimes soon, those are my two biggest complaints about the ranger.

Agreed here, no CC skill (Immobilize) should be uncounterable, I know some would bring up stability as a counter but Rangers only get 1 skill with stability and that’s has a 120 second cooldown and uses up an elite slot.

Downed skill 3 ‘Lick wounds’ has a 50/50 chance of working, if that.

My pet regularly simply stands on top of me and does nothing which has lost me more than my fair share of fights, this coupled with F2 skills not working when I want them to can make my playing experience extremely frustrating.

That actually may be contributed to any aoe no matter how small.
As you stop channeling heal when downed at the slightest touch your pet seems to sometimes follow that pattern instead of the being able to channel through the pain as a person trying to res you.

Hopefully, if its a mob and they stay focused on you with single target stacks you may live but any aoe or especially in pvp if your pet feels a strong enough breeze while standing on top of you, the skill channel will break
