The main reason Anet made so many mistakes in this game is some logical but very unpractical approach they had in its development. Motivation factors are almost not implemented. All is so easy in GW2. What I mean – there is no individual or group competition, except in special areas, in which the competition is limited. Players shall not fight each other – anonymous WvW, they shall join efforts, be together, be friends, and etc. buls..t. Even in sPvP you play with random teams, in one match ppl are enemies in second mates. Tournaments are big step in right direction, but even there you go with your own team made outside the game. In fact conflicts and competition are the things which create friendship in real life, and in games too. I can do almost anything in this game alone. Only in dungeons is really needed team work – and this is the best PvE part of the game, cause it’s hard. In trade, there is no competition too, and the game economy works in very primitive level. If everyone can make everything, only farmers have economic meaning, cause need of resources. And the result of all that – GW2 is very unsocial if you compare it with other MMO games, lack of specialization in fight and trade makes team work almost needless. Lack of competition between guilds makes them almost useless too. Players make efforts to play GW2 like every other MMO game, but it’s hard, and depend only from players, cause the game doesn’t provide much opportunities.

Why I demand for these improvements. I’m not a PvE player, it’s boring for me. WvW was fun at start, for about a week. Than became boring too. And nothing changed thereafter. GW2 is total mishmash. If from Anet make names of enemies visible, and change the timings for sieges of fortifications, than it will be possible to implement guild vs guild wars. And WvW will become a very good PvP area.
Big raids are main problem in PvE, in fact their AI and mechanics would be shame for every game released after year 2006. I know It’s hard to fix such a thing, but it’s essential. Other big problem in PvE is lack of specialization, which makes economy of the entire game doesn’t work.
And sPvP, which now is some kind of group PvP area, and we have two with WvW, shall become a tournament area, with implementing of single player vs single player matches and arenas.
Than GW2 will become a good game. It will not be a revolution, and there will not be a really new things in it, but it will be good. Game with good PvE, individual PvP, and group PvP.
What we have now – good PvE, but with easy and stupid Big Raids. Not so bad group PvP, and total lack of individual PvP. And in fact the economy is so wrong in GW2, that I doubt it can be fixed.

Map and ask is a bug, like thieves invisible hits and so many others. In fact yes, you can chat, ask for support for your server, abuse, cheers, and etc. But it’s a bug, and I don’t want to use it. It shall be made at right way. I don’t see why I shall use bugs to communicate with other ppl in one MMO game.
Fort gives bonuses to a guild, this the idea to take and hold a fort, or this must be. But now the only reason is players to take some gold, exp, karma. I’m talking about guilds, and the fact you did not understand it, shows a lot.

And how you feel good killing anonymous ppl? It’s insane, and some kind ugly. Yesterday I was defeated from Guardian in WvW. He attacked first, but I killed him, while he was down, he slew a bird near him, and respawn, I killed him again, but meanwhile he spawned hell dogs, and a pet, which killed me. It was epic fight. At the end he made a curtsey for me. I don’t know his name, and he doesn’t know mine. And we could be friends in this game, if wasn’t so. If… Ok I will say it – some idiots in forums, and in Anet were not so afraid from abusing. Why you shall screw all players, cause some of them are stupid, and abuse each other? It’s MMO, ppl play it cause it’s social, cause they can chat, and talk. If you stop all this, it is not MMO anymore. And GW2 is at the edge be not a MMO.
About the forts. It’s essential. If my guild takes a fort and lose it after few minutes, we shall go back to retake it, and again, and again – 24/7 – this is a super grind, and in fact it’s almost impossible to own fort even 1 day. So why you shall take fort anyway, and invest in his defense, it’s pointless.
I don’t know what THEY are working on. Till now I didn’t see any results of this work. Only scheduled updates. I just want Anet to fix this game before release of the next big upgrade.

All dungeons done, story and exp, with warrior. Fractals lvl 7, it’s boring, and easy like lvl 1. Suppose there is difference on higher lvls, but it’s boring.
Absolutely agree. This will improve not only the trading system but the communication between players too. Now I trade anonymously with game AI, not with other players, which, for me, is total failure for every MMO game.
And who are you to know what dev team do? I didn’t see any fix till now, except scheduled ones. If they care about players demands, let them show it. I want better PvP, raids, and WvW. But they give me WintersDay.
Like everyone of us. And why I shall be polite with Anet? They sold me a product I don’t like. If I buy LED TV or PC which is not as better as seller said, I go and demand for better one. It’s simple. How much I worth? Infinitely much, like every human. Show little self-respect pls.
What ppl want, and what they need and really enjoy, are very different things. I agree, I was a little bit rude in my first post, but done is done. For me is more important that I’m right
I said, I live in EU, cause EU protect my rights, no matter what Anet wrote on the back of the box, or in the online agreement. Second I think you are totally wrong, and I will tell you why I think so. When I say – let see the names of the enemies in WvW – you say, that is for abusing. I think that will be for respect, names of best players will be known. If someone is better than me, I want to cheers him. You want to abuse him, so you are wrong. Most of you almost said this game is so good that can’t be better. This is ridiculous. This game is far from what Anet promised me, so I want from them to fix it, before they make scheduled upgrades. And ppl, Anet has lawyers, it doesn’t need your protection. Or maybe, in fact, you protect your faith that GW2 is as good as it should be, cause you bought it. But it’s not. It’s like new iPhone. If you think a bit, you will see my suggestions will make great improvement of the game experience. I want better raids, better WvW, better PvP. And when I ask or demand for some fixes, I make this on basis of my previous experience in other MMO games, where I always was one of the best players.
Bosses here are lame. What kiting? You can go and hit it till dead, it has no AI. It will not attack you if you made big damage. Raid just fly /but it doesn’t attack you meanwhile/ from time to time, and has some debuf. It’s so easy to kill Big raid in GW2, that it’s boring. Dungeon raids are better, but even in dungeons I use kiting only when I’m lazy.

And what is so different and new in this game? Yes, Anet promised a game revolution, totally different and innovative game, and I paid for this. But I can’t find it.

War? It’s a game, it’s not real, and it must never become real. But in fact I want to know who I kill, and who kills me, cause this is MMO. So called big dragons, are lame bosses, you can kill them alone with range attacks. It will take a lot of time, but it’s possible. Cause they have mechanics and AI like Boss from Dungeon Siege – game made before 10 years. Go fight Valakas in Lineage 2 to see what is Big Boss. And I’m client of Arenanet, I live in EU, and I have all rights to demand for everything, when I pay for it. It’s other question will Anet fulfil my demands
But I’m not satisfied from this game, and my opinion is that GW2 which I play is not GW2 they promised me in their advertising campaign. If they want more money I will pay, but I want good MMORPG for my money, not this mishmash.

Story is good, but it is not a mmo content. Game is easy, no grind. That’s all. Raids, PvP, combats, all is poor, if you compare with other games now. I disagree, that GW2 is challenging. It’s not, it’s extremely easy. Yes it has tons of content to please different sort of gamers, but none of this content is good enough. And instead following the scheduled plan for a new content, Arenanet shall fix the existing one.
There is no competition between guilds anyway. This makes guilds useless. 2 years Arenanet was making this game, and the result is less than GW1. Like I said, in some things like raids, GW2 is a game from year 2002, not 2012. As a whole, it have good PvE content. Some ppl say it’s a lore game, but it’s not Diablo. To get lore here is extremely easy. Mmo part is very poor. It’s standard RPG game with some online futures. Far, far away from real MMORPG like Lineage 2, or Aion. The only thing here, which is better, is less grinding.

Ok if you don’t like it, I will fix it
Arenanet, you shall improve economy, cause now there is no specialization, after a month in game every player can craft high lvl weapons, jewels and gear. So, the whole economy system doesn’t work. Gold is extremely easy to obtain.
You shall fix Raids. It’s a shame, game from 2012 to have raids with AI and mechanics like the first Dungeon Siege.
You shall make names visible in WvW, so when I kill a party of enemies they to fear me. This is fun. Now I just kill some mobs with good AI, they are not real ppl – no names, no speech – mobs.
You shall implement individual tournaments in this game.
I think fighting and targeting systems are primitive, like some taken from year 2002. You can improve them. Targeting in L2 is much better.
You shall improve guilds. Now guilds are almost useless. You have 4, one more or one less, who cares. And there is no competition between the guilds. The name of this game is GuildWars, so where are Wars?
You shall implement real estate awards. Now if guild takes some fortification, it can lose it after few minutes. There shall be some period in time in which newly conquered object cannot be taken from enemies.
You shall implement more mmo futures in this game, cause now it’s like Tetris – only statistics, no real fame, no need of much communication – it’s kind a boring – not catchy, just something for losing some time.
There is so many wrong things in this game. Economy is primitive, cause there is no real specialization. Lvls and gear are so easy to obtain. Raids are static and easy too. You can kill Big Boss with gun, just pushing one button for 2 hours – very boring. In WvW enemies don’t see your name, so they don’t know who kills them – no real fame, only some stupid points. It shall be mmo, but it’s not. Everything is captured in statistic points, so it’s same like Tetris, but easier. No individual tournaments. And why I can’t see their names. You removed all 1vs1 competition in this game. It’s ridiculous. Ppl don’t need guild, party is almost useless too, most players /all with 4 useless for the game play guilds/ play with random mates vs other mates which names even don’t know. I can’t say you are cowards to the enemy, but I can’t say you fought well, it was fun, too. Why? Cause you are lazy to check abuses? Even WoW permit talking between orcs and humans. Hey, Arenanet, get alive, it’s 2012, not 2002.
Ofc thief is not weak in PvE. You play with mass DD and expect all classes to kill mobs like elementalist or necro. Try to play with warrior or guardian, they will be even weaker than thief for you. So yes, you are writing nonsense. And you shall not call the bugs – game advantages. They are just bugs and shall be fixed – correct stealth duration is equal to shorten stealth, and no damage dealing in invisible stance.
This is nonsense. Thief is not weak in PvE. And it’s bugged in PvP. And even if he was weak in PvE the most stupid thing would be to make it imba in PvP. You approve it’s bugged, but say it’s not a problem. If there is a bug it shall be fixed. It’s not weakening the class, it’s a fair and balanced game. I really hate such a bugs, not cause they make so big disbalance, but cause many players use them. It’s like to use faked cards and the croupier – Arenanet – to say there is no problem with the cheat.

Man you shall write “anytime I damage an enemy, I must become unstealthed for 3 seconds”. But in fact you don’t. And this is a clear bug. You stay in invisible stance 2-3 sec after you made damage – every time. In fact you can put down the enemy and flag him, without going out of invisible stance.

In PvP and WvW half of the players are thieves, cause this is the only class, which can hit while it’s invisible. It’s annoying when invisible player puts flag on you, or in massive fight hits you. Is this a bug? If it is, why you don’t fix it? Or It’s just a game disbalance created by you Arenanet? And if it is, why you don’t fix it? There are many free games better than GW2 now – Aion, Lineage 2, and others. I’m one of these players who believe you will fix and improve GW2, and it will become the game you promised to players. But I start to have doubts…
So it’s not broken, just bugged, anyway it shall be fixed.
It’s easy, one player -one guild. And if a guild can own fort, tower or a castle, and to fight with other guilds, this will make guild wars real. Now the real name of GW2 shall be Server wars with not so bad PvE. Most players even don’t need a guild to play it. You shall improve parties too. Every party shall have a leader. And you shall add a command channel – not chat but a window with number of pt members and their leaders – to have big, well organized battles. In PvE you shall make great bosses competitive so attacking group which made most damage to take the drop. This will make the guilds useful and the game much more social.

I’m in too. Duels will be great improvement of this game.
I fought with thieves, and I lost some fights cause they become invisible. This is the only mmo I’ve been played, where the invisible thief can hit. The result of this genius imbalance is that many ppl in WvW use thief to play. There is other imbalances in different classes too, but this one is ridiculous. What is the result – PvP in which, one player cant see or flag the other one. In other games this is called a bug.
I slew them, and I’m totally disappointed. There is nothing great in them. Drop is random, which is stupid. But the main problem is npc’s AI. In fact they have no AI. It’s so easy to kill them, and that is boring. They just stay on one place and use debuffes. That’s all. No real attacks, no movement, no danger. Ok, they change the place, but just to stay on new one, so static like on previous. If this game was created in last century, it will be normal, but it’s game from 2012! Great bosses must be fast, strong, deadly creatures, with great drop, not big, stupid, static mobs. There is much more fun, and danger, in killing ordinary boss, than great, which is ridiculous. Fix it, Arenanet.
What I’m talking about is communication and motivation. If I’m a new player in this game, I shall be motivated to communicate and socialize, cause this is what makes a good game community.
There is panel in options for game controls, if you don’t like them like this, change them, don’t ask Arenanet to change whole game. Why I never had a problem like yours in this game?
Using PvE gear in PvP is motivator for playing PvE. I have hero lvl 80, with good gear, all quests made, so why I shall play PvE? Think a little more before write about disbalances. And trade channel is needed for sure. Here trading system is incredibly poor. In L2 there is auction system too, but it’s antisocial, cause traders don’t communicate.

If you don’t want to LFG, play Skyrim. Group or party – team anyway – is the main reason one game to be called mmorpg, but not just rpg. If you cannot find team, something is wrong with you, not with game. Maybe you are a bad player. In L2, with GoD they in practice removed lfp. You can see is there parties, which need players, in special window. You don’t need to write Lfp in chat. Cool idea you will say? This cool idea made clans – equal to guilds here – almost useless, at least on daily basis. There you can even make party with instant members, but anyway removing LFP chat was antisocial. Most ppl start to play with players they don’t know instead with their mates, and if you play with someone for a half hour, and this is all, you don’t need to know him in fact. So it’s step back for mmo game.

How many ppl use chat panel in game in combat? It’s hard cause after Enter you automatically go in game mode. And the chat panel itself needs improvement. It will be better with few fixed windows, not two. See how it’s made in L2, there it is far more usable. There is trade channel too – very important social function.
Ha:) more active combat, don’t be ridiculous. Go in Olympiad in L2 vs Hero, and you will see what means rly active combat if you don’t lose it in first 30 sec. In fact I use chat panel here in PvP but most of other players can’t. So you say in this game you don’t need party, group, team – but it’s very social? This is nonsense. How it’s social if you don’t need a group, do you know what social means?
Thieves ambush, they are fast and they evade hits, if you don’t like to play like this, play with other class.
Can you answer the questions? By the way, I have lvl 80 warrior, all quests made, and this for 2 weeks, playing 2-3 hours a day. After L2, PvE and PvP here are so easy. In fact GW2 is fun, but after 2 weeks it starts to become boring like every rpg.

This is most antisocial game I ever played. Player doesn’t need team or guild, doesn’t need to talk each other, it’s antisocial. If I want to kill a raid I will do it with some guys I don’t know, and I have no motivation to know them. In sPvP I play with so many different ppl vs or with them, that I can’t know them, even if I want. Socialization need motivation, and usual motivation is group competitiveness. A social networks are exclusion of this, but in game, in any game, group competitiveness is the only way to socialize. In GW2 there is no group or individual competitiveness, there is no need of a group at all. I will tell you something – after 2 years in L2 I know about 3 thousand other players, and they know me. Some are friends, some I don’t like, but we know each other, cause game made it – team work vs other teams, individual tournaments in which player can be watched from other players in game, crafting system in which you need support from other players, trading system in which you can bargain, PvP in PvE world, which is very good way of socialization, cause you meet ppl. OK, fight them, maybe you hate each other from the start, but then you may become friends, cause this is a game. Here all these reasons for socialization are missing. The only bad thing in L2 is a terrible, rly terrible grind. GW2 is not a grinding game, but it’s not a mmorpg for sure too. It’s just cool rpg. There is no mmo in this game. In PvP or PvE ppl play from point to point, like in every rpg.
To fix this, you need to improve trading system, chat panel – I can’t chat and fight meanwhile like in L2, talking in action is impossible here, so ppl don’t talk. Guilds use other programs to do it, not chat panel in game. This chat system is useless. There shall be team competition in PvP and PvE. There shall be individual tournaments too. There shall be some motivators for playing this game. Why I can’t use PvE equipment in PvP? Why I shall farm gear in PvE if I cant use it in PvP? Why I need a guild – for what in game I need it? Why shall I play PvP, what are my rewards from this? Good game is a game with good motivation factors, ppl need reasons to do something. Why I shall play after I reach lvl 80 and made all personal story quests? Team and individual competitiveness is the only reason ppl to play such a game after they reach maximum level. Arenanet, you made a great advertising campaign, in which you promised a new unique mmorpg. But GW2 is not a mmorpg at all. I’m not sure, but I hope you may fix this. Pls, answer my questions, can you?

When I get to zott’s cannons they all show me out of range message, and nothing happens. Cannot complete the last mission cause of this.
I’m impressed from PvE world of GW2, but PvP is disappointing. Till now I’ve played L2, which was broken with release of GoD. So I bought GW2, with expectations for a new, unique game. But it was not. It’s like Skyrim in multiplayer. So called structured PvP is almost useless. And I will tell you why. There is no real competition and real motivation. In L2 Olympiad hundreds players watched my fights. Thousands players know my nick name and my style. Even with other name and gear on other server, many of them knew me – they said: hey are you Ikcen, The Red Baron – no matter the name of my hero was not Ikcen anymore. Other players called me Red Baron, not myself. Why I told you all this? Because we are not npcs, we are real ppl. Our respect, glory and fame cannot be measured with synthetic points, they are real. I can imagine that Ncsoft wants GW2 to be competitive to WoW, not to L2, but Arenanet can make game far better. How? GW2 needs a single PvP tournament, like Olympiad, and guilds need some property to fight for. I mean like guild towers for example. Every one of them shall give some unique banners and gear. And they shall be siegable – for proper defense, once a week in fixed hour – this will make guilds usable and there will be real wars. I want to play with other players in competitive game, to play vs them, and to win their respect. I hope Arenanet will make a real game revolution, cause till now GW2 is only good PvE game.
