Ronah is right, this game’s PvE is single player MMO, where developers expect that people work together like a team. But in a reality this game’s PvE is single player MMO where bunch of people are not working together as alike as team, they are just hacking and slashing everything…. in Queensdale. Other areas are totally deserted.
Every person who have ever worked in a team, knows that you can not build good team just a bunch of people, they have to work together years to start to get good results. Best team knows who is good in what area. They dont need to tell others that you should do things like this way or like that way. Good team is supporting each others and get best results when team start to be self-directed team.
In this kind of game what is made for single player MMO model you never get good team. Those who does not understand what team work means want that others are pinging their weapons or armors and they are dictating what kind of weapon or armor other team members should wear. That is not good team work, that is best way to kill good team.
Let’s think about personal stories, yes they are nearly all soloable, what makes more and more sensation of single player MMO game. Then there comes Arah, player need to kill Zhaitan… then game turns up group game. The real MMO where player should have around a group of players, they need a good team. How they can have good team around of them, when they think that this game is single player MMO. Players feel humiliated because they don’t even get the Arah Waypoint if it is contested. They try and try million different ways and they try to ask help and try and try again, they get already naked in there and finally they quit for trying. No one comes to help (well that’s show how good community this game have). Or maybe no one comes help because Orr is deserted. Guild mates dont have time to come help, because they are hacking and slashing mindless all moving parts in Queensdale, or they have to keep Boss train running.
So what does Group Events do in Single Player MMO? That is one simple question. They are not in PvE for making good teams, because when group event is gone, there is not anyone anymore around of you, everyone have run another part of map in their own issues. Players are acting like in single player games not like in MMO. So how an earth you are getting good team with you. Personal stories are nearly soloable and group events dont make good way to make teams. Guild members want to play their own game, what I do respect, they have to keep that boss train in running.
Dungeons, ok that is place where you might build good team, if the players are always same who are playing together in there. But if you try to ask dungeon players to help in some difficult part of game, the answer is like this: ”I can not come now, I have to make at least 10 gold today and I need to do these runs in here dungeon CoF p1. Then I will log off.” (Yeah, this is really great community).
Guesting, So players should start to jump to servers to servers check would even one of them have situation where Arah would not be uncontested. Unfortunately you can guesting only in 2 server at time.
So conclusion is this: This is single player MMO, where players are supposed to play together in a good team, even they are not playing togehter at all. This makes a great conflict within this game.

It seems that this is not working yet. Me and my friend stand in same spot, in same region and map but my friend didn’t got prompt to join my personal story. And it seems that I am not only one who have same problem.
I really like this game and I enjoy to play it with my firends. Now this game has lost something and it feel like solo game. Please, I want to play with my friends and do personal stories with them.

Maybe I did misunderstood at time, what they said in Guild Wars 2 Manifesto, starting 01:22 to 01:42. They are talking about how they are against of grinding in Guild Wars 2 to get fun stuff. That they are doing Guild Wars 2 game totally different way, and players dont need to grind in the game. I know, it was just a marketing speech and they don’t need to keep their promises about the product.
250 × 50 = 12500 for 1 weapon. If you want just one, but if you want to give one to each character or to have a sort of full set you will need around 5 weapons.
So the OP is right, you need to grind a lot if you want your guardian have sword+shield, Staff, Longsword, and scepter.

The security of the e-mail is same as security as postcard or poster. That’s the issue.
I think it would be good idea to make dungeons soloable. But if players want to go in there in groups it should not be restricted either.
Dungeons in GW2 reminds at this point like DoA in GW1. Team want to see other players gears and if they think it is not elitist enough, they just kick that party member off. In that way, those elitists players choose who will go in the dungeon and who will not. Who is allowed to do Dungeons and who is not. They don’t want to give a change for other players.
In GW1 there were same thing in DoA. Other players wanted that there would be DwG, UA, HB, Imba and so on. Even DoA were playable with heroes too
Let’s make all players enjoy all part of the game, even dungeons.
