I don’t mind new players getting a free copy of the game. However, the content that ANet has shown to us simply does not justify $50. When we bought GW2, the promise was that we were buying a complete game to play, and what they have shown us simply does not look like a complete game, or at least that much worth of content. We’ve shown, as a community, that we’re willing to spend money on continuous updates and new skins and conveniences, and have done our job supporting our devs.

I’ll be happy to pay $50 for the XPac, as long as ANet proves I’m getting $50 in value. Tell me how much story I’m getting. Tell me how much new world I’ll get to explore. Tell me SOMETHING more than “You get way less than GW2, for the same price.”

We got to kill 1/6 elder dragons and are given 2/3 of the 2nd, then oh would you look at that we need to pay to finish the game.

1. these are all full games not dlcs
2. Witcher 3 just came out and already was on sale (not for much off but still)
3. this is a DLC, (Everyone of TES story DLC gives 30-40 hours of new content and go for around $20)

I wanna say that, i keep hearing about all this “free content”, so far since buying the game ive not seen any new “free” content. What i have seen is
1. New items added for micro transactions
2. Paid for incomplete story content that was free…
3. seen the broken exchange system between gold and gems

im not that enthused about this $50 price,

id have rather payed for just story content, and them have made guild halls and elite specializations for everyone.

people keep saying that the living word content more then justify the price of HoT, fail to see how, LW is only free for a limited time and then gets removed and put behind a pay wall, so how does limited time free content justify charging core game price for less content.

How are they scamming you? You might consider the price too high, and that is OK you are entitled to your opinion. But this is how markets work, supply and demand. As suppliers they are free to set any price that they feel like and you as consumer are free to decide if it is too low or too high. But it is certainly not a scam, that involves deceit and here there is none.

At this time we are unsure that they will release an upgrade only variant although this is likely, given the general public outcry over this. Currently their options force players who want the expansion to purchase a brand new account(keep in mind that only one GW1-GW2 link can be made in addition to all the hassle of moving things not to mention legendaries.).

I completely agree, people who are buying the game, are basically getting the HoT for free at that price, yet we who have been supporting it get to pay for the dlc, kitten is that!!!!

not a certain instrument, any instrument. if you played 3 instruments you wouldn’t pull each one out sequentially irl and start playing it, you just say im a musician.

Im not sure if there is a suggestion forum but i had an idea.

They should make a collection for the musical instruments, that are purchase able in game, unlocking a different title for each instrument you own. anyone else think this would be a cool idea

So I just bought the LW S2 upgrade from the gem store and started playing. I never did Living world season one, but i was curious, Kasameer and the the gang call my character boss, so are we a part of some sort of group, if so what exactly is the name of the group?

I wonder if when they are done the area completion will reset. it would be a good way to get people to go and explore the reborn city.

I could not imagine it would cost more then $20,

seeing how the general price for the game is $39.99
