Oh hey I’ve fought you. I don’t remember who won but I remember your name so the match must have been a good one.
Do you have a specific make-up that you’re running with to focus on a particular mechanic or do your teams tend to be more balanced? To clarify: Do you run heavy burst builds, survivability, knockdowns / CCs, revive buffs, etc?
There’s nothing wrong with the down state. It’s amazing and adds a challenging aspect to team play. Bleed Out would be awful because one of the best strategies is letting an opponent linger in the downstate to prevent them from ressing. Cheer sounds amusing but overall I think your suggestions are bad and would be extremely boring compared to the current system.
Engineer, here. Mesmers are annoying… that’s what makes them mesmers. Thiefs are bursty and stealthy… That’s what makes them thiefs. /thread? I don’t think that any of these are significantly overpowered in any way. Also, as others have pointed out, you clearly don’t even know how mesmers work.
If you did tournaments you would see very quickly that Heartseeker spam builds are extremely weak. It burns all of their initiative so they have to invest EVERYTHING into spamming HS… Giving you ample time to get away / damage them / heal up / etc. If you’re getting downed by heartseeker spam, you’re doing it wrong… You need to time your dodges and always have your utilities and CC ready. Incredible how this forum is FILLED with completely illegitimate complaints about sPvP that basically sum up to, “You’re not playing well.”
I disagree with most of this.
1) Combat is not moving too fast. I can see retaliation up and I know not to spam my abilities.
2) It would be nice to see some more detail on the amount of damage it actually does.
3) Getting that 20+ seconds makes up for their otherwise lacking dps. There’s no heavy dps out there running around with tons of uptime on retaliation.
