Since WvW was so boring tonight after the fight club, I decided to wxp farm until I got my vital stacks. Hopefully the next servers we fight will be more interesting. Thanks for the good fights and forum banter NA and PD, and the various others I had the pleasure of fighting/talking with.

*Location – Crystal Desert Borderlands under Champion’s Demense Camp
Time – 5 PM Server Time.

Standard Rules/Tips:
- /bow before each duel
- Duels end when the opposed is downed
- If an interruption divides a duel, please warn the player that an event is occurring and should be told to immediately stop interrupting. If the player continues the interruption, the opposed should down the interrupting player. Finishing a player is absolutely unnecessary and is not tolerated.
- Team Duels are allowed, if you would like to start one, each team must have equal amounts of players, and the duel initiates when all team players /bow. The team duel is finished when the opposing players are finished and the last person is downed. You may resurrect your team player if they’re downed, but not when they’re finished until the team duel is complete.
- Siege weapons and items from the “Traps and Tricks” outfitter is not permitted.
- No Stacks are permitted. ex. Corruption, Perception, Bloodlust, Life, Luck, Applied Fortitude, Guard Leech, etc.

Why can’t you fight off-balanced team duels?

That’s no fun?

Off-balanced duels will be allowed as you wish, but both teams must respectfully agree on the terms towards being outnumbered to have the situation confirmed that there will no be excuses or boasting towards winning or losing.

Clearly you don’t know who you’re talking to, Tele loves her outnumbered fights! :P

I know she loves outnumbered fights, I’ve been in tons of them with her. I’m just saying that in a duel like setting, an outnumbered fight will be completely different than a spontaneous outnumbered fight in the open field. No one wants to lose more to less, that’s all I’m trying to say.

Imo, off balance team fights when they aren’t spontaneous in the open field are a bad idea. You can say that emotions won’t get involved for the losing/winning parties, but I’m sure 3 that lose to 2 will feel upset and down on themselves and 2 that lose to 3 will write it off as a loss due to being outnumbered. Whatever way you spin it, emotions will get involved.

Out of all the ruins, I think the Orchard Overlook is the best for dueling. It’s pretty open, the scenery is nice, and I don’t think there are any npcs around.

I was on yesterday around this time roaming with an XOXO, that was the first time I’ve seen your guild. Haven’t been on in the past 2 hours though and won’t be until tonight sadly.

Oh, a lot of us have been in SAB or making gold because of the broken match-up system. What class and race do you play? I may remember. I’m usually with Agrïope, our D/D Ele with two Incinerators.

I say to balance the game if you fight a CD at fight club they should have to start the fight by putting all their utilities on cooldown and using a racial elite and wearing no pants.

I love the new map as well. It’s fantastic and I had a lot of good fights this afternoon. I don’t think the stat buffs are a good idea at all. There’s already a huge thread in the general WvW forum and pretty much every single post from people in NA, EU, T1 – T8 all hate it.

The post was made (mostly) in jest, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t upset at all. Credit where it’s due, you’re quite good at your class. I haven’t lost to any necro besides you in quite a while. But I’m a little sick of the condition-spam meta, and I know I’m not the only one.

And yes, I’m a mesmer. A pretty good one. I’ve fought against Wafflez (think he doesn’t like me) and Varconi and a number of other XOXO mesmers. I’d wager I know my class—and the builds I’ve created myself—as well as any of them.

I agree with you, I am sick of the bunker condition meta and perplexity runes, but until anet does something to balance straight up direct damage being mitigated through armor and damage from conditions with a lack of decent condi cleanses on some classes, we can’t really do much about it right now.

I doubt you guys would enjoy fighting the 20 or so of us left on GoM’s current incarnation. But I’m always thrilled when we draw NSP because it means a great week of challenging duels and roaming play.

Btw, I went back through my video clips and I DID actually fight you during that last matchup. The reason I didn’t remember was because you were on your engi instead of your necro. Or at least I think that was you (tM condi-spam engi, and we fought on the firefly ledge in lowlands camp).

I hope you all liked the Harmfull/Harmless duo roaming tonight in DH bl. The duo defense of briar tower against that guardian commander and her rag tag group was pretty fun.

I now know that guard commander was from the Fury guild and I had fun wiping them a few times in the NoWo wxp train tonight.

They had one group of >40 rolling around capping things for a good long while. Will the numbers stay for you this week? Who knows. Did you have a presence on other maps? I have no clue, because I was on EBG last night.

The fact about this clusterkitten that ANet has created is that from time to time you get a crappy match. We had 4 in a row that were against us, and the last two have favored us. For [EK] it’s better to be outnumbered a bit, because we know we will get fights. You can’t get better in W3 with no fights. We do not want to drop into the silver or bronze or whatever the kitten bracket is 13-24. The fact of the matter is that with this jacked up match we will have to beat you by 200K on the week to keep our rank.

Don’t play for PPT if you feel that it is pointless. Play to get better. Play for fights.

Win by 200k???? I’m just bawling my eyes out for your plight. I play for the fights and the ppt. But there is no ‘fight’ when getting smacked to the ground by 20 ppl at once. Oh, you had 4 bad matchups in a row? I just feel soo bad for you. Look at your rank, then look at ours, and tell me how good our matchups have been. We have not had a “fair” matchup since this whole random number garbage began.

And just for the record, we loving call the “outnumbered” buff the “NSP buff” for a reason. It has made better players out of all of us. I’d venture to say that our dedicated wvw players are some of the best in the game, but, that number of players may equal out to 20% of yours. We don’t need to play to get better: we are better. We just need more of us. And i’ll say it again: this matching system is murdering our wvw participation. But we have easily 100 players rolling the dragons and the Orr temples. In fact, we are the only server to consistently complete the temples Every day. One of the reasons why the pve players do it, is the blatant fact that they are tired of getting constantly steamrolled by servers with superior numbers, which just keeps compounding the issue.

So you like playing outnumbered? Then transfer to NSP server and revel in the glory with us. Otherwise, spare us your ridiculous comments about just “playing for the fights”

I’ve had plenty of good fights so far. You can easily take on a group double your size if you work as a team, coordinate attacks, and communicate well.

Awesome….another absurd matchup. Thanks Anet, you are doing a fantastic job of making players abhor wvw. New players spend 15 mins in these matches, quit, and never come back. Why don’t you just shut it down altogether, and save us the repair/upgrade bill.

There is no repair bill because we are always outnumbered.

While the coverage disparity in terms of PPT is a bit annoying for some (discourages some NSP players etc), I honestly love that this matchup provides a constant source of fights. Lots of good throng surfing to be had.

Well [Os] is bigger than any guild DH can field now, so we’re in a similar boat for once. I do enjoy the opportunity to sit spam my dearest friends over at the illustrious guild [XOXO]. I sincerely hope you have finally ridded yourselves of that unsavory character Varconi something or another, they were doing irreparable damage to your guild reputation. They were also really bad.

You know, I was hoping DDLG would have changed a bit more when they hopped servers. Doesn’t look like it. Great job, you beat us in the GvG against a guild that has done 2 practice runs in GvG, including this one.

I went into this GvG with about 2 hours notice that you all wanted to do one. I thought it would be a friendly practice run. Darkestshadows seemed like a laid-back guy that wasn’t going to troll us if we lost.

But while losing, we had people dancing on our corpses, t-bagging us, throwing build sites on our bodies, and representing troll guild names. During all of this your spectators were spamming emotes 90% of the time. If this was a “friendly” match, I wonder what an aggressive match would be like.

Darkestshadows and Bluevalle. You need to realize that pretty much the only side of your guild anyone see’s is the trolls and forum warriors. How many times did DR get focused in WvW because of your forum warriors? How far did IoJ go to take your server down because of your members?

It’s pretty sad that your guild members don’t respect your leadership enough to hold off on the trolling. Pretty much all I’ve seen from you guys is forum warriors and trolls, then a few people saying “don’t lump me in with them”. Well sorry to break it to you, but you’re getting lumped in with them. If you don’t want a bad rep then make another guild or reign in your members.

I just know that if I had guild members doing what yours were doing, they wouldn’t be in CORE anymore. So don’t plan on doing a GvG again with us again. I’ll see you all on the open field again, where I have kicked your kitten with roughly equal numbers before, and I’ll do it again.

And just as a general warning to SBI – DDLG is going to give your server a bad rep, and kitten off other people who will focus you because of them. It might be fine for now when you have better coverage and more people, but I wonder how well it’s going to well it’s going to work when you are in the bottom of the top league and DDLG is trolling high-ranked servers.

I can openly say that in the field, CORE runs more builds than guardians, warriors and eles and have many individuals that have high skill. I can also say that just because you have a one trick pony (the bunker factor) that works on roamer groups and CORE guild’s composition doesn’t mean you are of higher caliber.

CORE happens to be full of more modest people many which actually run builds that don’t involve depending on guardians and warrior banners.

Os has been pretty modest about our wins in the past, but I think I can pull this out against you since your members seem to not understand a humble victory.

6-0 win in a 20 vs. 20 against you. It was our second GVG ever. So don’t you dare talk bad about guilds just getting started on the GVG scene.

Seems everyone took very good care of their homes this week! It’s always nice to keep the good china unbroken in garrison, I’m glad too much hasn’t had to be replaced.

Over all conduct: Unsportsmen like conduct, I saw WAY too much of this during this week! The laughing, the teabagging, etc. Guys, have some class! Pop balloons, kites, play taps on your horns and flutes. Be creative!

Roaming: It was successful a good 75% of the time. Being roamers at heart, it’s frustrating to be caught by not even five mans, but like eight mans. Or just the two of us fighting another two equally, only to have five-eight of their guild mates side sweep us. (Dear anet, want to buy a map for roamers please.)

The highlight of my week was to see [RISE], I was personally glad to see you guys, I had missed you all.

Now, as we move closer to reset time, I want to wish SBI and NSP luck in their next match up. I hope you guys have a lot of fun next week and do well during the leagues coming up. To our people here at home in IoJ, nice job guys!
