For WvW they added a new map called Edge of the Mists. It’s a gorgeous, multilevel playground with some crazy new mechanics like blowing up bridges and turning into mecha-scorpions or beams of light.

Teams are grouped across servers by your color that week. The score there does not affect the world score, but the winning team drops supplies in your borderlands Citadel after each 4 hour match. It also spawns overflow maps.

For WvW proper they changed the borderlands maps to remove most of the water areas and added Ruins with a Bloodlust mechanic, similar to the old orbs. It’s had a huge affect on scoring, top teams are now getting up to 35% of their score from points other than the tick every 15 minutes. They also added a proper queue system to WvW which shows how many players are in front of you and your position in queue.

Still see lots of large scale battles on the highest populated servers, more roaming and smaller scale battles on the lower tiers. Most servers still have queues on reset with things thinning out as the week goes on.

EotM is where disorganized PvE players go and play so they don’t affect their home server too negatively.

Oh yeah, you see a little bit of everything in there. From roaming to karma trains to guilds conducting training session – it’s the wild wild west of WvW. I’m surprised at the amount of guild/server recruiting that happens there.

I’m disappointed at the severe lack of SPCA, SPLT, XOXO, and TM in this matchup. Where did they all go? I’m not supposed to feel this safe when solo-roaming against NSP.

I’m surprised as well. I’ve seen maybe one tM, one SPCA, and one SPLT the entire match so far. I don’t think I’ve seen any Holy either. Where are all my pals?

My sig is changed. It says XOXO and Back on NSP =p. I’ve probably changed my sig like 10 times in the past 2 weeks xD. I also don’t like using the “one” build thats supposedly better at doing x and y. Much like I hate using plague sig and break stuns in fights against cc spammers or condi classes. decided to go back alone to see if maybe you’d try to fight me by yourselves. Some of you left but you still had the numerical advantage. And i’m instantly greeted with some ballista fire. Can’t you guys get off the siege for once and try to fight?

No offence but if you’re looking for fights, small fights, there’s freakin’ sPvP! Guess what, there’s next to no siege (albeit trebuchet’s in Khylo and newb-hammer) and every one is fighting! Also no food and/or sharpening stones, no under levels and no stacks of guard leech/bloodlust.

WvW is a game with heavy emphasis on siege.

spvp sucks balls though. Maps are way too small, very limited in what builds you can use there. I don’t use the same cookie cutter builds that everyone else does. None of my builds are recreatable in spvp because of the limited stat combinations you can get there. And standing in a circle is boring anyway. In spvp everyone else is just running boring meta builds that will let them sit in the circle for as long as possible without dying. That’s incredibly boring to fight against.

And there’s no reason why 7 people need siege and guards to kill 2 people. If they weren’t such cowards they could have gotten off the siege and just fought us. They still had the advantage either way. We were just looking for someone to fight, but we cant seem to pull anyone away from large groups or away from siege long enough to actually fight.

You have a few options at this point:

1. Create a fake guild tag in order to bait them.

2. Emote spam them in order to bait them.

3. Throw free siege on the ground in order to bait them.

4. Siege grief them in order to bait them.

5. Or just fight them and realize WvW is a joke.

I usually go to north camp to try and bait people to come out and fight. I appreciate those that actually leave the camp proximity. But man, GoM has a lot of glass cannon rangers and guardians. It’s silly.

Protip: If you are a roamer complaining about getting killed by zergs, you’re not a very good roamer. It’s very easy to spot and avoid a zerg, especially when it’s comprised of a pug/pver training session and moving around the map with the gracefulness of a drunken hippo.

Special shout out to the asura warrior who changed her build 5-6 times and the tM guardian who swapped to condi necro as soon as she realized she always got blown up in 5 seconds.

I haven’t been on the forums since the weekend, but apparently this fight was a big deal. I was the tM guard/necro. I had just finished making a really awful condi guard build and wanted to go find someone to duel, but I stumbled across this fight and decided to join in. I was not with XOXO and after getting obliterated I decided to swap to my necro and start playing seriously.

Once I realized my condis did nothing to your group because of the guards/eles and the ele was using perplexity runes, I just logged for the night.

My desire to play this game grows less and less each day. If I wanted checklists, I’d go to the super market.

The purest kitten-mode stealth build I’ve ever seen (she does 0 damage, you’d definitely beat her, btw), purchased multiple legendaries with real money, constantly xferring to our enemy servers to troll around, etc. etc. So yeah, nobody here is ever going to complain if you bm her.

There’s two people that play on the account though. One is a female and she is quite nice. The other is her ex and he is a complete kitten. Guess which one was on the account in those images…heh.

Also it would be sad for me to rage and be alone, but the sad part is it isn’t just me or my guild in here saying NSP is a kitten about their roaming, it’s coming from both sides of DH and FC, and in fact it’s multiple people. The other side is the only ones defending NSP are either XOXO or OS, and sadly I’ve wooped several OS already , XOXO may be the only competition I will ever come across if that.
