This is an incredible slap in the face.

Id like to share my story here because hopefully arenanet will read this one day and realise my unhappyness.

During the halloween event I did not want to spend any real money so I did not get the mini-pets and regretted it ever since. Therefor I decided I would do whatever it takes to collect everything on wintersday I even put aside money beforehand and so on.

Wintersday comes and I spend more $ then id like to admit on mystery wintersday boxes before I actually have enough to get the 3 mini pets and the baby quaggan.

I find out about the endless tonics and start crafting those, while buying the minipets from the gem store with real money, another 20Euros gone, and all my frames and so on gone. But despite spending the money I feel really happy.

I see that they go together in the mystic forge the endless tonics, and read on forums that it might seem very possible you get an endless toymakers tonic from it.

So I get a little hasty throw em into the forge and boom, I get a robot endless tonic, account bound one even (unless im mistaken, its at least account bound now).

So now I have the one tonic I dont care for or want.

No endless tonics (exept for one I dont want)
-12gold buying materials to craft the endless tonics
more THEN -100euro (minipets + boxes)

And I have never been this unsatsfied and unhappy in guild wars 1 or 2 in my entire life.

If this was intended, im quitting guild wars completely. Its just that simple, Ive had enough.

The first slap in the face (for me) was when they changed minipets from buy a 3 set for a few gems (halloween) to get lucky with RNG in mystery boxes and end up with a bunch of hats etc that you cant trade/dont want. (maybe Its just because I was so unlucky and opened nearly 120 chests but still…)
and now this whole debacle with the tonics? It’s just the last straw for me.

I am absolutely HUGELY in favor of this proposal, the equipping or auto take out mini would be superbly awesome, and it would be great to see all these tiny creatures actually running out wild instead of being stuffed in the bank or in the inventory slots just because we are too lazy to pull them out everysingle time we waypoint/die/change position and so on. I have a bunch of minis and rarely ever use them.

Now I think its important that, changes that arent beneficial to the players or arenanet, no matter how often they are suggested, wont be implemented. I understand that and respect that, thats a mandatory bussiness point of view if you want to run a bussiness succesfully.

And honestly, I consider guild wars 2 creators, no matter how cool a game they make, first of all people who are trying to run a profitable bussiness.

Which means that, respecting and keeping that in mind, I would never suggest a change that does not make sense from a bussiness or player POV.

Therefor this change that is suggested seems like SUCH a win, I cant see many players being against it, and most being in favor of it even, perhaps not an URGENT and surely its nicer to have a bug free environment then this implemented asap, but im positive for many people it would be a welcome patch.

Then on to my second point, from a bussiness point of view, given how mini’s are acquired during this holiday event (wintersday) its quite different from how it was in halloween (and im definitely not a fan of the change that has taken place) It seems to me that you are making less money on weapon skins now because of the demand to make em more accessible, and that you have implemented serious changes to make up for the “money lost, or potential profit lost” there by making the mini’s harder/ (more gem wise expensive) to acquire. Again I understand (or can try to) to a certain level why these changes are mandatory and make sense from a bussiness standpoint point of view.

And exactly for that reason it benefits you HUGELY to create an “equip” mini function because it will most likely boost the popularity of mini’s in a significant manner. People will want to show off more and so on, which also means you will sell more trough the gem store, given the new way to acquire mini’s.

All over all this seems to me, when im trying to take an objective view and take both the players and the company side of things into account an easy decision, hence I would LOVE to hear something from developpers on this subject!

Im currently very outraged, seems like nothing in guild wars 2 is working for me today, nevertheless ill try and remain polite and explain the issues im having in detail here!

So the first thing is, im trying to buy gems trough paypall 50euros worth off, and its simply not working it just redirects me to the page where you can purchase gw2 serial keys…

Then earlier today, i received an email giving me my old gw1 login details and I decided to link my accounts finally…

It was the absolute worst decision of my guild wars 2 life so far :P
Nothing works anymore, now i can logg in with 2 logg ins on guildwars2.com my old gw1 login details and my new gw2 login details, i can also log into the game using both, i really dont get why this should even be possible, for one it compromises account security by alot, and secondly i dont even use my old email etc anymore, to say even more, it doesnt even exist any more…

Important to point out here is that when i log in on the account.guildwars2.com page with my old (gw1) login I dont see my name.number and email etc, i just see something that looks like a CD key really..

Also when i linked the accounts i got to a webpage that had /approve in the url so i tought all was good, but the page itself showed an XML or HTML error or something of that sort, im sure you guys have heard which one i mean right now, too scared to try it again to be honest.

Now i figured, no big deal the linking didnt work, ah well, nothing to get too distressed about, i will try again at a later time.

However now i logg in, and i can see myself on the guild im in and the roster there, but the game tells me “You are not currently in a guild” when i try to speak trough guild chat etc…

So really im only now discovering all the issues that started as soon as i attempted to link em but there are ALOT please do reply/fix asap !!!!
