have you tried “Restricted Zone XRB” in Harathi Hinterlands? There are some sparks there.

I read the list and promptly flashed back to the hot pink Oppressor recurve bow I carried as a primary weapon on my ranger.

I’ve played for 2+ years and only got 1 precursor drop.
3 years, over 6,700 hrs and no precursor. Be glad you got one.

I’ve been kicked due to
1) not being in the same guild as the party & one of their guildies decided to join
2) not having enough achievement points (know a few that fell in this one)
3) simply playing a ranger (not all are worthless, point blank using bow/bears)

“Bad precursor drop” seriously? Just because it is for a weapon you won’t use doesn’t mean it is bad. I’ve chalked up over 6,700 hours and have yet to see a precursor. The only reason I even have a legendary is because I finally broke down and bought the precursor for it. Everything but the precursor sat in my bank for 6 months to a year.
Reading the topic… “bad precursors”…. you are aware that there are thousands of players that have played thousands of hours each and have never ever (and probably never will) see a precursor drop and would go completly nuts if they got what you got? And you come to the forums in all seriousness and complain about a “bad precursor” drop? I’m speechless.
I wasn’t speechless….I said lots of bad words after spitting my coffee all over my monitor.

The two guilds that come to mind the quickest are EVOS and TTS. Keep an eye on the lfg, you usually find a bunch of taxis to TT.

I had a good time on AR with my 2nd account. However, that server had more drama between guilds than the Kardashians to the point they had a team speak intervention that didn’t seem to work very well. Guild leaders argued so much and I believe a lot of egos got in the way.
I often wondered why the main WvW guilds left AR, now I know.

Stonekin is a legend for sure. He was probably the best NPC at crushing a player’s dream of a survivor character in GW1.

I’m in a little better shape but not much. No clue on the exotic drops but I’m at about 4-5 ascended weapon and 1 ascended armor drop so far. I have yet to see a precursor drop. I had maxed huntsman and weapon smith both and made several ascended weapons before ever seeing the first ascended weapon drop. I can’t say that a different account would help; never tried it. The armor was a WvW drop, the weapons are all from running Teq.

When they change your log in email; your password will be changed also. They will email you a temp password & then you need to get into your account and change it from to whatever. You can’t reuse your former password, unless that has been changed from when I had them change my email associated with log in.

I’ve put 20 level 80’s through Temple of the Forgotten God, all classes. Some are more challenging than others. What level gear you running?

A lot of my character names are “recycled” from one game to another. Most are hold overs from GW1, another spans 3 games. Some develop relatives like a brother or sister sharing the same last name. Other just sort of happen with no rhyme or reason.

Dadnir would need to clarify the remove optional bleeds thing as to completely remove or add it to the shortbow’s stats. What was put was basically “get rid of & see what happens” (or at least that’s the way it comes across, maybe it’s just me). Anyway, I run LB/SB so messing up the bleed stacker really doesn’t really appeal to me.

Technically, the shortbow is supposed to be a skirmish weapon while the lonbow is more a long range steady weapon.
As for what I think they should do to the ranger’s short bow, it’s simple :
- First an update which remove the optional aspect of the bleed on the auto attack.
- Second, look at how it fare for a few month.
- Third, if it’s well received by the community keep it like this or if it’s not well received, balance bleed duration.
The shortbow is a skirmish weapon in game, as long as your definition of skirmish means staying mobile to get the most out of the shortbow’s ability to keep the condi pressure on. Getting rid of the optional bleed aspect puts a dent in the ranger’s ability to keep the condi pressure on and gives no real incentive to play for position in a fight or to use the shortbow at all.

Don’t shoot the messenger Rap Man, but according to the wiki, ornate guild armor is account bound. Even if you sent the materials to make it; whoever makes it ends up with it.

Well that screenie definitely wasn’t taken in ARBL.

EW is spot on about the armor mix for leveling. I very seldom use anything beyond signets and “shake it off” as far as the utilities and the elite skill. The only real reason is I’m generally solo when on the warrior and don’t need to worry about boons for a group. The two main trait lines I run are arms and strength for reduced weapon skill recharge (axe, sword, and GS). I’ve tinkered with the 3rd trait line some but it is still sort of a work in progress.
