You’re absolutely right. They NEED to take hints from DAOC.

1) Owners of the keep are notified when their guards are killed and how many are in the vicinity.
2) Upgrades actually mean something:
- Guards can’t be solo’d with ease.
- Need Superior Rams for Reinforced Gates; Guild Rams for Fortified, in order to take down at current speeds.
3) Increased Bounty based on Upgrades (ie, drop Exotics, at minimum for Fortified)

List goes on and on… just one more reason why Anet is showing why they really don’t give a rats kaput about the WvW’ers….

Heck, they haven’t even figured out how to make money off us guys yet, so why would they care about us?

You want WvW to be even slower and more siege based? What.

Where on earth do you get from that message that WvW is slow. It is fast paced and if you guys don’t want to wait for 1/2 then you need to be more patient. Go do something else within that 1/2, like spend time with the wife and kids, or take a quick walk, or do a few situps. Whatever floats your boat.

…. No. If they do it for the Outnumbered. then everyone ELSE will raise a fuss. Especially since 30 minutes is a fairly liberal immunity, there. In a standard, evenly-matched WvW battle, a LOT can happen in thirty minutes. (Imagine that, next week, you get pitted against a server that, itself, is Outnumbered by your own. And let’s say they take a very well-placed camp. And you can’t do a dang thing about it for half an hour?)

The situation is NOT perfect, for unequal matchups. But I do not see any fair way to address it.

In the end, you and the other teams are fighting over land. Whoever can bring the most people to bear will win, assuming they have any decent amount of skill. And in this way, it’s a lot like real life.

It IS possible to win against superior numbers – to a point. When you are officially Outnumbered, and the game is telling you so,…. yeah. As I said, when it gets that unequal, the situation, as it stands, is not ideal. The Outnumbered server stands nearly no chance, barring sheer luck. But I cannot think of any fair way to handle it.

ESPECIALLY when you consider there are three teams in a match.

If A and B are both Outnumbered by C, then is it fair to B if A gets 30 free minutes holding something they took from C? What if they took it from B, fair and square – do they still get the 30 minute lockout? After all, the Outnumbered effect is on them, isn’t it? Because of C’s presence? Or do we tweak the system so that the game recognizes we took it from someone we were not outclassed by, so there’s no time lockout — and then C sweeps in and eats it whole?

This… The fact that there are THREE teams… is why the solution won’t work. The game cannot track the varying degrees of comparative strengths between three servers, on a round by round basis, and even if it could, there is no good way to handle it.

I didn’t just mean the outnumbered server. I mean to implement the 1/2 hour downtown for taking things away for everyone, anyone, any server outnumbered or not.

How is one supposed to play in WvW when your own Borderlands is outnumbered ? Outnumbered in your own Borderlands, really? GW2 WvW is starting to feel like real time game play. If you are not online then you are SOL. This is supposed to be a fun game, it is turning into a major chore. I do enough chores in real life.

Then you go to yet another one and the same thing. So in retrospect, you are fighting a losing battle. I have a suggestion, when a tower, keep, camp is taken there is a block on that for, lets say, at least 1/2 hour. No enemy can take it away. If you want to zerg on the land then zerg away, but not on the towers, keeps, camps, castles for at least 1/2 hour. Also the Yaks, within that 1/2 hour time frame, they are protected. I am not whining as I am sure a lot of you are going to say, but being logical. This is the only logical solution, so that a Borderland that is outnumbered at least has a chance.

No he isn’t fun at all. And his name in Andul not Adnul. I tried many of the strategies here with no luck. Finally I just did my own thing and beat him. I cannot remember what I did, I was just so happy to beat him.

After crafting a bunch of gold longbows, buying some from the TP and having no luck with getting the Leaf, I figured oh well, it’s not meant to be. Then a few days ago I was doing my dailies and one of those dailies was to use the Mystic Forge. I had one more try to throw in to finish dailies, so I grabbed 3 level 80 gold sta kitten I had gotten from forge earlier and a mystic stone. The leaf popped up, I sat and stared at the screen in disbelief. So if you are trying for a specific precursor don’t just use the same weapon. I don’t think anyone has ever mentioned this in the forums and if they have then I missed it. But sta kitten and a mystic stone to get a longbow precursor, go figure.

Thanks Inculpatus cedo, I don’t know how to link items other than what’s in my inventory. I have no idea what a chat code is.

@Kervv, that sucks man. I think GW2 should give you back the sword. You have the proof in chat where you linked the item. That should be sufficient proof it was in your inventory. Can you link items if they are not in your inventory?

Braham looks really cool in the wallpaper, but whoever created the looks of the character ingame didn’t do a very good job. First, his nose is kinda like a girlie pug nose, his hair on one side looks like a girls style. If they would have made his nose more masculine and his hair to look shaved on both sides he would look way cooler. Love his weapon and voice.

I didn’t really know where to put this, but if this is a bug it should be reported. Tonight I noticed when I finished my daily I received all the rewards except for the mystic coin. It happened before, but I thought it was because I had a full inventory. Well, my inventory was not full tonight. I don’t know how long this has been happening but I just noticed it. Is anyone else not receiving the mystic coins?

Definitely sounds like a game problem. I can run this game perfectly on my husbands computer. Was able to run the game on my computer until the last patch and now nothing. Sort of weird it will run on one computer and not the computer that has been running the game since day one. Oh gee, might it be a router issue, I don’t think so since I can run the game on my husbands computer and his is getting a signal from my router. Or maybe it is a firewall issue, hhhmm nope, the firewall is activated on my husbands computer and not activated on mine. I’d say most definitely a game problem.

I let it sit for about 20 minutes and nuttin.

No. This is a customer telling a company that their prices are too high.

It is an opportunity for that company to learn about how to serve their customers better. And we all get better from that.

Excellent reply to Ms or Mr Perfection. Everyone has questions, opinions, and suggestions, no matter how mundane some of these may sound to others, they are all legitimate concerns. Reading the concerns of the customer is what businesses should do and Anet is a business.

The last I heard about the TP is that Quality Assurance is working on it and that wa about a month or so ago. I still am unable to see anything. I get the little gold moving circle like it wants to let me see, then the circle goes POOF. I did everything NCSoft and ANet told me to do except doing something to my router. I will not touch it because I am afraid I will really screw something up.

@Ryu, when I hit escape TP disappears, no menu pops up. I think maybe Ryu was pulling my leg.

I have no idea what a proxy is, where to find it, or how to remove it.

Ok, so I have traveled world wide, received chests for finishing the hearts, vistas, waypoints, and poi’s in each area. But for some strange reason I have only 716 poi’s not 717. So I traveled the world again, writing down the number of poi’s, looking at the poi’s to make sure the numbers matched and they did. When I add up the numbers of poi’s the total is 716 not 717. If anyone knows where this hidden poi is please share.

Yes, a patch so the people who cannot view the trade company can see and use it, instead of making them jump through hoops trying to fix the players computer, router or whatever.

Rata Sum was the most easiest main city to explore. The Grove sucks, Black Citadel is kinda scary looking and a pain, Lions Arch so so, Divinity Reach meh.

Still getting black screen when I try to access the Trading Post.

Saw this in another post. (While we understand the want for P2P trading, we feel that the Trading Post works well for accomplishing fair deals and keeping individual users protected from those with less-than-pure-intentions.

It would be alright if EVERYONE could access the Trading Company. The above reply, I suppose from a GM. Fix the doggone Trading Company function. I played Aion and WoW and never had a problem with their Auction House/Trading Post. I love GW2, it is one of the most fantastic games ever, but fix the doggone Trading Company

You mean I am the only one who cannot see the Trading Post?

I have never been able to view the trading post since day one. I have a support ticket created, have done everything that was suggested but it still does not work. All I see is a blank screen. Every once in awhile I might get the trying to load option, but then it goes poof/gone. I have attached the gameadvisor report, speccy report and hijack report to my support ticket but have not heard from anyone in support as of 9/16/12. Is anyone out there?

I am on this personal story quest, but cannot seem to get to the Asuran Gate. I was supposed to get explosives from Zopp’s krewe, but don’t seem to have any explosives and have no idea where Zopp is and meet someone, I forgot his name at this Asuran Gate near the Vigil Headquarters in Gendarran (sp?). Does anyone have some input on what I need to do?

People told me to restart my client but that didnt help even after I restarted my client several times.
Anyone else having this problem?

I get the same screen for the TC. Still cannot access it. I am so glad I’m not the only one. If only Anet would let us know what the problem is.

I must be the only one who cannot view the Trading Company and it is starting to become very frustrating. I have sent two concerns to support about this with no response. I don’t know what to do or what should be done. One of my guildmates told me I will have to run the game client AGAIN. Could someone from the ANET team please help me. I see a big grayish muted screen everytime I try to view TC. I did get that moving circle thingie one time then it went POOF.
