The ONE thing WvW does NOT need is rewards, i dont play for some fake gold(being able to buy the exotic gear is ok), i play for fun, i play WvW for the gameplay as i find PvE extremely boring and impossible to play.

Folks zerg because they can’t do small groups.
1. They don’t PVP well to begin with
2. They aren’t geared (full exotics and legendaries)
3. They want to run with their Guild… which is bigger than a handful.You’d have a better chance of convincing Devs of creating a Wv3 size sPVP map and let matches run for 6-12 hours at a time than you will turning Wv3 into something else.
Iron is max level, max geared and running with the guild, hardcore WvW only guild, directing the zerg on Deso BL of choice for the week with numbers in the 20-60tis, and the use of good skill and great commanders.
I think bigger maps plus no crosses plus no culling would = better, its ok as it is now i guess, but i think it would be better..
why? we got auto targets for a reason, it will target no matter if you see the enemy or not.. most of the time :P
if its that bad in 15-25 imagine what it is for us we run in 50-60 vs 60-70

I love wvw. Played a ton. Had a ton of fun. It is so awesome.
Having said that I am bored of it to some extent now. I love the strategy element of WvW. If I want to fight and try to own people its obviously pointless due to the gear/level differentials. So I will go to spvp.
No, I play(ed) WvW for the strategy. However the more I play the less strategy I seem to see in the game. The maps are, quite frankly, too small. By this I mean the objectives are too close together. They wont change this because people already QQ about long run times from x to y (which is wierd seen as this is no issue ever – 1 side of a map to another takes very little time).
But at present numbers are all that matters. You can group up as 50 dudes and cover the whole map more or less.
It should be that the maps are so big that if you decide to attack in the east (for example) then you basically open yourself up to an attack in the west and cant really respond.
Anet devs think that the best way to play is to have 4-5 small zergs. This is completely wrong. The best way is at most 2 zergs of 30 guys (sometimes just 1 zerg is best) and nobody solo except maybe to interrupt some dolyaks.
And that is boring. They need to add more strategy to keep me interested but, as I am sure I am in the minority, I am not expecting them too.
Things which would appeal to me:
-Double the distance between all keeps, towers and camps
-Objectives which hold a tactical advantage (such as hold this hill for 3 mins and get 5 trebs there to treb a keep)
-More tools for commanders to dictate the play, and a WvW requirement to be a commander – e.g. 10k kills in WvW. To stop PvE heros being the only commanders.Just make the whole thing feel EPIC. Which it really doesnt at the moment. Planetside 2 feels epic in terms of the map size and the bases. GW2 should move in that direction and really make the maps HUGE. And add things like upgrading sentrys into watch towers.

bullkitten, our godlike elementalist was fighting 3 hacking thief’s ALONE.. hes beyond good tho.. anyhow, thiefs are made for 1v1 fighting so ofcourse its strong…
more and fun gameplay, not bribes… you have until ESO at latest.. but who knows if you get that long.
the Reset and us having a 80k lead in tier 2 has made us take a break so im not playing for a few days..

can we make left click targeting optional aswell? :P i dont want to target ANYTHING when playing on my Engineer as when it targets my attacks gets kittened up and i have to scramble for the esc button to get rid of it.
NO more Pve in WvW, if anything GET RID of the PvE, we get queue on our Borders even when we cant find more then 60-70 people tops, usually less because there is 30 of them in the kitten Jumping puzzle.. kitten who’s awesome idea was that?!?
some food buff that gains minutes while being there, not sure anyone would care tho as food is cheap as dirt
aslong as i dont have to use it, you can die by me in WvW because you wanted to use it :P
no way controller or this could keep up with keyboard and mouse, but sure go ahead and use it this if it existed. its already a known fact that randoms suck at playing the game to begin with :P
GW2 is a 98% PvE game sadly, so since its F2P im still here, once ESO comes i probably wont be here anymore. the devs focus 95% on PvE and the only things they do for WvW is try to bribe people into playing rather then work on making it more fun..
Remove PvE from Monthly please!
Lets see how your servers learn over the week, seems after 10 attempts you try something new, maybe by friday you will be more effective at fighting us

BUT NEXT TIME WE SIT DOWN DONT ATTACK please.. we wanted to just watch as you were trebbing the wall down… but you just kept attacking us so we had to wipe you.. NOT cool people, not cool
Server ranking has other problems, Im from Desolation EU, only 3 can be in Tier 1, and we dont have the coverage to compete at 100% there, but in tier 2 we are currently roflestomping the other 2 servers.. hell yesterday we were running around trolling, and leaving keeps open so that they would attack us. we also tries to break every door in their garrison then wait for them to come in and fight us(sadly pugs ruined it by capping )
Is anything really a problem? You stand in red you’re going to die. Whats insulting is that if enough people stand in the red everyone lives!

its great isnt it, we are all useing AoE because we cant see the enemy so we cant target them, so AoE is bad? no culling is.
After a quick look 99.9% of the players think Anet are kitten that should stay away from their own game.

We all know its coming, for better or well yea worse..
I guess its gonna cost badges or atleast so i hope in ways, but if you are gonna make the gear cost badges then change why the badges drop, I as a Guardian or other support wont the 4 badges after 4 hours of playing some nights depending on how support i need to be for us to win.
currently it seems you need to do 10% dmg to a player to get something, but this is unconfirmed i think, well when im doing healing and buffing im not doing that.
So please find a way to cover healing or something else in badge drop so that we can get them.
Also dont let me forget, REMOVE BADGE DROP from/or JUST REMOVE THE WHOLE JUMPING PUZZLE FROM WvWvW! its PvP.. try to figure that out at some point anet..
set up a TS for your guild/server to use or a free mumble.
Would be awesome to bring in our Tanks and other tech, but it would need maps made for them ofcourse and not the current maps :P tho i think it would be a big change, but maybe possible on a more huge open map

i Disagree hugely beyond wow and beyond. do you realize how impossible it would be to balance a elementalist that has 4 elements already?! or you think all other classes should get 4 elements to switch between aswell?
I still woudnt mind skipping 100% of the PvE so that i can play WvW instead :P PvE is level grind is ruining alot of my fun when i want another char with different class to play

keep Pve out of WvWvW, get rid of jumping puzzles and PvE events. these people take up the very limited player spots..

could someone give me a ton of them so i can get my alts to lvl 80? i only do WvW and its not good to use weak alts there that keep dying
Love the ideas, some i can see problems with such as the banners being placed in lionarc to be farmed by people if you gain more then they cost. but that can be offset by rules. but seems they all add good stuff.

I didnt find any other topic on this when i did a search.
When in WvW having 100+ players fighting, clashing its extremely easy for the golden little mouse-pointer to go poof in the effects making targeting/ground targeting and all other clicking aswell as looking around EXTREMELY hard and annoying, im not sure how many times i have died or been late with throwing out skills because the mouse pointer were no where to be found.
All classes are good at something, and its 90% up to the players skill and knowledge to play it that makes it good or bad or even beyond epic.
Its engine problems and server, not client.. i thought people understood that.

I had ALL your problems and were running at 30+ fps at ultra settings
gold, we are forced to go farm PvE to pay for upgrades and siege to run at full power. so Money is still a problem, no way to pay for the siege and upgrades needed. we use like 250+ gold each week, usely running out quickly and using more.
i mean in general with the amount of people here who sees major problems with it which i have never seen at all
some of us are on great servers and are putting in lots of time, some less so. I have been on WvW since the start, its all i do, i dont do PvE at all except for some guild farm and maybe to level a alt abit. before IRON i quit playing for 2 months because i got so kitten bored with WvW, then i came back found IRON and its been awesome since
I hope more people find or start the guilds needed to make great WvW fights possible and get more players to stick around.
I will give you that it does bring some things up that could change some things for the better, but there are negatives i can see also
Agreed, there can alwaysbe unintended consequences when making changes.
I will also agree with one of your earlier posts regarding the rez working to the advantage of the group with lesser allies. I have had on occasion a battle with the lesser side rezzing allies to come back in a fight after losing an initial 10-15% of the group. This tends to be the exception rather than the rule
yea, i think its really up to how much of the zerg is organized guild compared to randoms. with more organized ressing becomes natural and something we are to do as soon as we see someone fall while a solo player might not care to res others but im used to IRON on Deso, so its ofcourse hard for me to imagine the life on servers which lacks big organized guilds and how their fights turn out
i sure hope the update wont just be some kittenty gear and crap and instead something important… some of us play WvW for the gameplay and not to grind useless IG Items -.-
I want to add that i do not know if it will be bad or good, but right now WvW needs alot of other things and i rather not change things that work while other things are downright bad.
Maybe a trial of drop to dead and hear from the hardcore community(like that will ever happen) and we can see. I will give you that it does bring some things up that could change some things for the better, but there are negatives i can see also

Come to Desolation and learn what a organized server can do in WvW unlike what your experiences seems to be so far of it. we have Organized WvW with commanders and TS from and around 11am GMT+1 to 2 am GMT+1 every day of the week

Putting aside the obvious fact that your server is the best, IRON is down right unstoppable and the rest of us are just plebs sitting at the foot of the table hoping for some scraps to fall down from the elite….
What are the potential handicaps you foresee with a ‘waypoint on spike’ ‘removal of downed state’ or ‘no rez while in combat’ for your Organized WvW when fighting the unwashed horde (aka the brainless zerg.)? This is a serious question.
First of thank you for the compliments ^^ and second, a good group with less players can thanks to downed state revive and keep fighting a bigger zerg aswell, its not just the other way around. its not just the big ones that gain from reviving people, think of this instead then, Big zerg smacks you, you lose 10% or more of your force, well now the enemy is even bigger then you and there is nothing you can do, you can make a good revive work plus cc work to get your number back up and keep fighting, instead you are all going down just because you had less numbers.
This wont help any side, it will hurt both…

you guys has no experience fighting with good people on your side :P IRON takes out larger zergs all the time, 25 vs 30/35 is our normal zerg fight and we win 96% of them easily. downedstate is easy to crush.
Do you realize that to revive a downed player another needs to stop attacking right? so if 10 players are down atleast 10 more needs to stop attacking. so thats atleast 20 people not fighting you :P if you cant win anything that has more players then you, well then you need to get better..
Duel i want, would be great for fighting between 2 people who wanna dish it out. with normal gear.
