kitten . This was what I was expecting actually when I wanted to play a necro besides minions (unfortunately, minions aren’t that good outside of open-world PvE)… a massive lifesteal with some decent CC class.
Uhh Dhummfire might be a bit imbalanced there. I mean, marks are unblockable… so you could only evade them or go invul and yet you propose to reward people who evade them by burning them, confusing them, or tormenting them xD At least you made them dodge. Now they have one less to dodge your other attacks, no?
I’d be happy with just soul marks providing additional CD reduction and making that kitten staff autoattack faster by a bit.
Tested it out in 4 matches earlier in ranked after some practive matches in unranked. It works very well according to the purpose you built it for. I have never beaten a DH 1v1 ever with the usual condi corrupt build (I dunno if I should be able to beat them with that or maybe I’m just bad xD) but with this build I was able to either down them completely or force them to flee.
Clearly the class performs well enough, as it seems about 1 in 3 people I see in fractals is playing reaper. I favor power myself, and I can affirm that it is reliable as high as scale 100. I’ve been trying to work in a chance for challenge mode on Nightmare, as I shamefully have not done that yet. (I joined a group today, but it dissolved before beginning.)
Glad to hear this. I would prefer scale 100 fractals as my endgame content because raids seem too strict for me. I love power reaper playstyle myself. There’s just something satisfying with using a big GS to mash opponents into dead matter. Sadly, I got caught with what’s considered “meta” and started collecting viper trinkets because I’m new. But it’s not bad to have both I guess.
I went to the wiki. The siphon damage has a very low power scaling if I remember correctly… 0.003 lol. The healing is not affected by healing power or power but I may have misremembered it. And even if it did it would be very low as well. If copying invigorating precision’s numbers plus bypassing shroud is OP, then just reduce the healing received when in shroud to acceptable numbers.
I mean in my opinion, we should be the masters of lifestealing. We’re necromancers. Fits our theme perfectly. Besides theme, it might give power reapers something unique to bring to the table: significant lifesteal and damage boost.
I find the lifesteal of the power necromancer to be weird… usually it’s a percentage of damage to the enemy dealt similar to a thief’s invigorating precision (if I recall the trait correctly) and not a very small fixed value…
