Don’t know if anyone asked in this thread but:
*How about some info about “precursors for crowns”. *
The conclusion we can get to from the current info is that we will get 40 crowns/month with zero crowns from current achievements (I.E. 6 100% characters and 3900 achiv pts) for a while (maybe even later than late February) and that precursors (if they will even be in the crown reward system) will cost over 80 crowns.
That means 2 more months of NOTHING – regarding legendaries – (and no hope to speed up the process – say, buying crowns or precursor related equivalent for a more reasonable amount of gold or dungeon tokens)
With a little luck we will get a precursor after 2 months of achievement farming (assuming it’s not 150 crowns or even 100 which its likely to be) at the cost of not having any crowns left for ascended gear or anything else AND just in time to not need then new and much more entertaining scavenger hunt which should happen around April). Am I close to what is going to happen? How close?
Ofc I could be wrong and there might be another way to get precursors that doesn’t involve crowns at all, but since it would have to already be in the making, I’d like to hear about it.
Totally unrelated but: WE NEED CHARACTER SPECIFIC KEY BINDS 2 months ago!!! Pretty pls?

“50 ecto, 250 mystic coins, 250 obsi shards and 250 of a random t6 depending on the desired precursor” would mess up the prices of that stuff reallllllyyyyy bad (mystic coins being the worse. The last thing we need is a legendary to take 350 days to get the coins ourselves or pay 60+ silver for one also making all the unique exotics jump in price). Something like this would kill the idea of getting more than one legendary/year without spending a few hundred gold on mystic coins I’m going to assume they can’t fail so horribly and do something like that.
The perfect quick fix atm would be Naegling+200 obsidian shards + 1 Eldritch Scroll (or Bloodstone shard)+ 1 Sigil= Dusk (most other precursors don’t have lookalikes but you get the idea). It will probably not happen (and it might also be too “easy”).

I hate grinding. This is supposed to be a “temp” fix for a broken system that isn’t and hasn’t worked as they wanted it to. When they add scavenger hunt in 6 months by all means make it take 20 days+ and have unique tasks for each precursor and have lore. But I cba to not get my Dusk for another 60 days (from a hard imposed time limit) when there are ppl that got it for nothing AND FAST (that’s the problem) from low lvl rare bugs and Karka event and borrowing gold from ppl after launch etc.
Also they aren’t exactly anti farm, they said if you want to farm something you should be able to but they don’t encourage it. It only becomes grind (which is bad) if you kill earth elementals for 6h day until you get 100 onyx lodestones, and you can’t because of DR and that’s ok.

It’s already obvious that even ANet thinks 550g is way too much for Dusk (or at least that’s what they said, even if they might like as it is). Scavenger hunt is 4 months away + whatever that takes so that’s out.
Whatever they add in 2 weeks from now better not have a forced time delay or we are going to have a problem.
I.e. 1 token /champion killed/day/large area like Kryta, Orr, Maguuma J. => 5-6 area tokens /day MAX and adding precursor to a vendor for 250 tokens while also having ascended gear and bags and other things for the same tokens at the same vendors. That would be BS.
Easier (to be read as “not based on luck and taking a little less time or a lot less if you are playing 8h/day”) way to get a precursor sure but if no matter what I can and want to do I can’t get it faster than 45 days of farming events it’s still not good enough.
If it was like that from the beginning 45 days of events and the 2 months for getting the karma needed + more time for getting the gold it would be fine. After 4 months and 1300h played and having the 3 gifts if they come and say “well you either pay 550g that we admitted is too high or gamble up to 750g in Mystic Fail cough Forge or you wait 45 more days doing events and spam porting all over the world looking for them or still no Twilight for you would be unacceptable.
And no, I don’t care how many ppl have legendaries, I don’t want it to brag about it in LA (we have a Twilight and Dusk on the server and the “brag period” for each was between 0 to 7 minutes and didn’t involve chat).
P.S. I still support the idea of a 5-7% chance for a precursor in the Griffonrook Run hardmode puzzle (with only 1 chest open/day but unlimited attempts). That’s your 5% of player base legendary limit right there (make it account bound and only 1/month max and make the drop a token that you trade for what precursor you want).

How about Anet adds some god kitten earth elementals that we can “farm” (what with all the bullkitten (and bugged) DR)) that don’t require some 2h, 20 man even+subsequent defends of the area to spawn? I think Onyx lodestones (maybe charged as well) are the only ones you can’t farm somewhere in the world (only after events that never get done on low pop. servers).
Also how about removing DR since they said they are not against farming, just bots. Want to stop botting without supervision cuz you just cba, but you can’t differentiate between normal players? Sure you can. Just remove the DR variable on any account that has Dungeon Master or 1+ characters with 100% world completion or 3000+ achievement pts.
7 TA runs and one Onyx Core with 130% mf while warriors in greens get 1-3/run just because they play only 3-4h/day and only one character? Why? (well actually we know why, they admitted to bugged DR).
This isn’t exactly the place but I really don’t care right now (and it’s related).
Take your time and redo the way dungeon instances work, the whole “the 1st guy that walks inside disconnects = instant kick for everyone” is the worse thing in the game atm (besides the fractal problems, but you said you are working on that). I don’t care how dungeons are actually instanced areas and someone has to be in them for them to exist (like in story mode when a friend joins you), go ahead and code instances to be linked to multiple people or make the link pass on to the next guy.
Some more CPU/GPU balancing (as extra option that can be toggled) can’t hurt, atm minimum requirement CPU + medium to high end everything else = constant 6-10 fps in WvW and 1 of the 9 fractals.
When I logged in again, the build was gone.
We kept getting that in the 2nd guild I’m in (the one that works x.X) but the upgrades either showed up later (timer doesn’t stop) or after they were completed.
How hard is it to write a command to search the DB for any guilds that have no rank with all permissions and then modify the highest one to have them (depending on how/with what the DB is made it could be a 300 characters or less thing!).

If this doesn’t get fixed with the next build you can always try to:
1) start mission, see 1st scene (skip it or not)
2) walk over the hill and without pulling anything get to the tomb entrance
3) RANGE pull all mobs there or whatever works for your profession (you have to kill the big guy and preferably clear everything else at the entrance without going close to it or more will spawn).
4) go back and walk near Traherne to start him walking and let him walk ahead, do all the pulls etc
5) Don’t let him die in the ambush (not sure if this affects anything he never got bugged before the tomb).
6) Let him get to the tomb and don’t walk ahead or very close to him (if more undead show up don’t let him die).
What exactly is needed for 100% map completion?
I have 100% world completion and all 5 main areas are marked as fully explored after this fix (was missing only 2 from jumping puzzles).
What I’m MISSING right now: 60% of the puzzle achievements, walking inside (and completing) 5 of the dungeons in story mode, walking inside and completing all 8 dungeons in all 3 explorable “versions”, doing the last personal story quest (this means I’m missing some PoI in CM and other dungeons, do those count?).
I’m still at 97% map, and I would like to know which of the stuff I didn’t do will fix this (so I can know what can be skipped for someone rushing to 100% map).

Made the guild from the guild panel (didn’t use any npc).
The “leader” rank only has the permission to edit ranks checked and I can’t change that.
I’m the only member (and leader) and the only thing I managed to do was delete one rank and rename 2 others (without being able to change their permissions) . I can’t queue upgrades (grey button even with enough influence), I can’t even edit the message of the day.
Also spent 4 silver on guild influence at the Lion’s Arch promoter and didn’t get any so that doesn’t work either.
Moving to other towns, areas, dungeons and “stand down/represent” doesn’t change anything for me.
