I hope some of the Gunnar’s guild would jump to Piken by the end of the next week. It would be good to have more WvW guilds on our side, once we move to T5.

No offense to them I hope they don’t, the reason many guilds are on Piken is because is a quiet server and a established community.

GH’s guilds join Piken, it gets stronger, small ques form, it skips up a teir or two,, Guild looking for T3-4 server to bandwagon onto to boost to show how pro they are turning a T3 or 4 server to a top one then jump on,,, then everyone jumps on, trolls, kitteners and idiots included!!!

I prefer it stays as it is as a T6-8 server, if people want a T1-2 server just transfer there direct rather than trash a really nice server

It was much closer in points at the start of the week but my understanding is that Piken got an influx of Russians? So thats the nightshift sorted and it really shows in the points score as Piken rapidly rocketed ahead of us (I am not downplaying the quality of fights at prime time, its just an observation that the difference in scores accelerated).

Piken has basically always dominated Prime Time, its simply was a Med pop server with absolutely no off peak, day or night. Why the imporvement in WvW rankings and Score? Basically 3 simple things.

1. The middle ranked High pop servers are all losing guilds and HC WvW players to the T1/T2 servers, Piken has been little affected by this, yes it lost one very good guild but it was a prime time guild too and our prime time was overkill tbh so had very little effect on our score/coverage, while migration has likely hurt alot of middle ranked servers.

2. Due to the long term nature of the community friendships and bonds have grown and all the off peak players have got to know eachother and are now just working better together and meeting up and making groups this never happened before this week.

3. The new Russians, I can’t gauge what effect they have on night shift, day shift but certainly coming home to a 2-300 score instead of 100 has made a difference the past few days.

So yeah. It’s not a lack of a nightshift / dayshift thats hurting the other servers it’s the fact they no longer have as big advantage off peak to use against us as Piken no longer has nothing off peak so doesn’t lose all the points and lead it earned during prime time to bigger servers that had bigger off peak numbers.

Pikens lead isn’t due to off peak night capping, it due to taking a 380-500 score every night in prime time and no longer losing it in 15mins to night capping servers, an AM guy even said it on this thread, he misses the “It’s 23.00, start the Piken have went to bed raid and take it all back for the night and day” but hey ho they adapted its not the 6am cap it all raid instead

Yeah, you need to devote more time to organize fights. I still can not understand in what borderlands BOON are fighting. Every day new map =)

We aren’t allocated a map, we just decide at 7pm which map to go for, normally the one with the most to take back and no ques.

We are used to coming on at 6-7pm and only having 100-150 pts and the maps being totally under the other servers control, so coming on and seeing map either fully or half undercontrol is confusing us!

Totally agree with you its the RP community that has made Piken the great server we like to be on. People listen and talk to each other in a civil manner etc and it has a proper server community and also building long term friendships and alliances and this has helped in WvW a lot everyone feels like they are fighting for the server be it a unguilded pug or the GM of a big WvW guild.

We get approached every second day to move server to the new "in server " to be number 1 WvW server and a main reasons we don’t now is why would we leave all our friends and good allies?

Piken has went from T8 / T9 to T6 going onto T5 at this rate with no influx of players or spamming forums for guilds to come play off peak to boost us. In the last month I have only really seen one big WvW guild leave and a couple of Russian guilds come in a day or two ago, so 100 out and 100 in kind of thing.

The server has really came together this past month be it RP pugs having an adventure and toughing it out in WvW or the big WvW guilds working closely. We might never get past T6 and drop back to T9 but we will have fun with our friends and community doing it <3

That was one hell of a awsome fight you Piken gave us at AM borderland when we just took the Hills. Had a superb and hard time holding you off.

3 golems, quick movement to hills, and we captured the keep inside a couple minutes… and yet BOON managed to get back on the map, and back inside the keep. Luckily in what must have been the funniest fight had all matchup, your portal into lord room was predicted and spotted. A single balista done a bit of damage to your guys and a full on Bennie Hill moment started as BOON and co chased us around the outside of the room as we slowly wittled their numbers down. Bloody great fun, we even had the music going in our TS as it went on. lol.

OMG this was hysterical indeed, as you said we left AM BL which we had pinned down to nip out for 15 mins to help AFTL and other recap Bay, fully expecting AM to take stuff back :/ By time we got back we’d lost 3 towers and Hill keep to both AM and GH and had outmanned buff! I guss Piken had pretty much left the map as it had been quiet the previous 2 hours or so.

Only option we felt we had was to go straight for hills ASAP and try speed cap it and try hold the three keeps for a while and as we got inner door down we could see ppl about and were ok messmer in and everyone run clock wise round the top until we kill everyone then aoe below…

Seemed to go to plan untilI stopped and looked behind us and found a load of you behind us we must have both been running round clockwise chasing each other would have made a funny fraps tbh.

We normally call our raid at 11pm UK time so just called the raid after that one and finish on a high note, was a fun night.

And yeah you were so close to gettign hill, saw the white swords and just thought lets patrol through there and see,, we got lucky, even 10 seconds later and you would have got it.

tbh I think they are sick of Piken, as we have meet several times the last time they beat us by alot on “WvW score”, but even I felt sorry for them all prime time they would go from a 350-500 pts score at start of the evening to 100 at the end of the night and take a real beating, sure 30 mins after the Piken guilds called their raids they are back to 350-500 pts again.

But yeah must have sucked getting 4-5 hours hard fight and taking a beating then 20ish hours of nothing much to entertain them knowing that the next evening we would be back to take all their stuff again :/

Getting Piken again with a higher ranked server from above likely cost morale a bit.

I actually enjoy fighting AM tbh, as they are pretty relentless and determined they keep coming, you leave a map for 15 mins and you always lose stuff, we have played servers that simply give up after 1-2 hours in prime time and just piss off and just wait until we left and come back and pve it all for the night score.

AM may lose alot of stuff during prime time but they at least fight all night prime time win or lose so gg them o/

I don’t know about the other guilds on Piken, but BOON Control love Piken too much to ever move.

Piken it just to perfect a server for an enjoyable game,

1. Its the “RP server” thus has next to no kitteners, idiots or trolls resulting in no drama anywhere. (and I get a bit of closet RP-ing on the side)
2. The RP-ers keep PvE busy and the WvW ques next to non exisitant
3. No ques for WvW last night I took 30 BOONs from AM bl back to piken at 9.30pm, and then moved back to AM bl later
4. Lots of very organised WvW guilds, we played Piken while on Vabbi? and while Vabbi “won” the WvW match, it was very clear to us that Piken had something very special going on there as we had never met proper hard to fight guild raids in WvW and not just one, 5 or 6 across all the borderlands and knew that would be a great place to WvW alongside strong organised guilds, and we are glad to say we were 100% right, best move we ever made.

Downside to Piken? next to zero off peak players, resulting in a low WvW ranking as a server, but yeah meh so what. If we wanted to be world number one we would joined a big NA allaince off peak or a super full EU server with some off peak, anyone can jump ship and be on a top WvW ranked server and go look at us, means nothing imo, what you do as guild in game fighting actual players is all that counts to us.

So yeah BOON can live with a low WvW ranking to be with such fine company, so long as Piken stays as it is, BOON is staying here and loving our T6-T8 battles. We have fought T1 servers and didn’t notice any difference other than more of them for longer.

I don’t think he is saying the recipe is amazing as RNG really good way to do it but amazing hard due to the RNG and mats required its been well discussed in the guild and we all know Aion and its miragent craft etc had a member try 14 times! And we have plenty of member who have got shafted by it already in GW2 and are meh I give up on it.

As for the gold Firoz and Karasu busted thier balls on this and made a couple of thousand gold on the AH mainly by being slightly ahead of all the other Legendary crafters so were pretty much financed by all the others buying gems, getting guild help, asking for donations etc etc

The only real help they got from the guild was Dungeon groups, krama farming oh and 30 of us trying to unbug the temple when they got stuck there back on the 23rd of Sept when he should have got to craft his sword.

Other than that they did indeed do it all themselves in game and with out without real life money. lol infact they are both students who are perminatley broke and whine about it all the time mehaha glad I am old!

So yeah I understand your frustration at the rng element of this craft pretty much why I haven’t put any priority on it myself, might have one isn 6 months, might not…
