I don’t know the why there is shock at Riverside running in big numbers they have always had a run as a team going back months and pretty defensive prime time and that’s fine everyone can play as they want, they know they can make up the score off peak.

The fact is Riverside has a different level of WvW population to AG and Gandara and will throw out big numbers of players and raid sizes all week so expect to see a new T3 server every week or two and just enjoy fighting those big numbers and doing last man stands against odds.

A big shout out to everyone in RS borderlands last night BOON and ECL ended up in there to go after all their fortified/waypoint keeps and towers and got awesome support from the range of other AG people on the map.

Loads of epic battle, two fortified keep and two fortified towers turned to wood while being well defended spent over a hour inside Garrison but RS was just not going to let it go, 4 out of 5 targets taken so not bad.

Loving the no queues of T4 btw dc’d twice in garrison and got back in in under a minute and straight back into the fight RAWR!

Yeah shame on him for not knowing ANet were going to allow free transfers to No1 server in EU at the same time and giving WvW rewards and turn it to mince…

Where do boon move too ?

We have not decided, we already ruled out Piken Square as we would get similar issues there from what we heard from old friends still playing there so just going to look over all the International servers the Tier doesn’t bother us much.

We have fought in every Tier now with Piken going from T8 all the way through to t2 the first 4 months then SFR from T2 to T1 the past couple of months and tbh you can have as much infact more fun in WvW in lower tiers, no queuing, can make fast guild raids and less blobing so less skill lag, its still there but a few times here and there in T1 its there almost every keep fight these days.

So yeah will take a week or two and pick a new home and give guild time to gather up gold etc. With our journey since release we kind of seen it all done it all and got to fight pretty much everyone there is to fight, so time to find a nice quiet server as a retirement home :P

The lag, caused by Blobbing, is gonna end up killing the game.

I tried to play 3 hours today when I normally play many more and it was really really pathetic. No skills fiering, couldent change weapons, just not fun.

Anet got the biggest responsability in this for giving the players the chance to group up to a point where the game is not playable… but man those players and guilds that knowing that this problem exists and that persist in grouping up in huge numbers… I just dont understand them, I really cant.

I give the game a few weeks more before it completely begins to go down the drain, in the meantime, ill keep trying to play (wow interesting to TRY to play a game and not actually play it).

I hear you mate, BOON spent 4 hours on VS BL last night, bar one attack to kill our gate cannons no one even attacked our Keep or Tower the whole 4 hours, we got a lot of high numbers fights with Deso which was fun.

But VS guys I have to give you massive Kudos here how you manage to get your entire map to hug one dude the entire night is beyond me well done serious organisation whipping of pugs etc, but way to break the game its like every time VS engage in a fight the entire map lags last night was just silly.

So yeah T1, big, queues, can’t get guild raid into map, skill lag, a blob that only does pvdoor unless forced to defend.

Was nice to see Tier 1, it was pretty much exactly as expected, met lots of nice people and guilds here as well as all the troll/ppl who worry about rank too much etc.

BOON are heading off to a quieter server once we identify it so we can get back to raiding and playing as a guild again rather than being a chatting place for ppl queuing for WvW. Take care ppl and don’t stress too much its only a game! o/

No need the movie is already released,,,well the first 6-8 mins of this was that Garri fight your all banging on about, just a mix of footage movie made for our own forums of some nice fights we had recently nothing ment to shake the world. Well you know my view point on how to win at WvW too many people on here just trolling talking crap. BUT HEY THIS IS A MMO GAME FORUM THATS WHAT THEY DO!

I have lead a 20-40 man guild raid 5 nights per week in every tier from T9 all the way up to T1 and fought 25 of the 27 servers so prety much seen it all in WvW from every angle and it’s this simple, to win at WvW:

Best Off Peak > Max out ques for the longest periods through out the day > Server co-ordination > Strength of build guilds working as a team > individual player skill.

When those 4 guilds turned up on SFR, RG, sIN brought a lot of strength into the Prime Time and into the night, BOON and ECL boost the “WvW pts first, kills second” to Prime Time to a server which already had a strong prime time and likely strongest weekday daytime, so galvanised an already strong server, result? Blows away T2 and wins T1 ever since.

VS have seen it all before and know its just a matter of time until one of these areas colapse, boredom someone leaves, drama etc and when it does SFR’s Best Off peak and Daytime raids/Population advantage will be gone and then their ever constant “Server Co-Ordination” will put them back on as top dogs again.

Wow you all still going hard at it, meh login go pew pew and have fun guys.

Bay Boss room was truely epic all three servers going at it like nutters for almost 30 mins solid in the boss room, really insane stuff. We had a more VS vs SFR one later in Garrison which might have lasted even longer but just couldn’t flip it fanatical defence and good use of war banners saved the day there, which btw everyone can do so kudos to VS for holding out there tbh.

By luck a BOON was recording so enjoy the show, lo and remember we are attacking the keep not defending it! lol fun times <3 Big shout out to RG and the others who we had to carry through it all ofc o/

Katie I agree with what your saying but for us the match up was already won.
On thursday RG asked us if we could leave VS bl so they could have a gvg with GH. We stayed on the map coz the match up was not over and as a result the gvg was cancelled. (Sry RG).

I agree, the fight you all had last night was fine and exactly the time to do this and the attitude on Thursday was exactly what we want.

But other guilds were doing it earlier in the week during prime time when it did matter.

Wasn’t last night I was talking about, BOON had GvG between 7-9pm-ish on the map we had qued for twice this week they come on announce they doing GvG even ask ppl to leave! and effectively half our servers numbers on the spot and our 20-25 man raid is having to try and cover a map and VS are straight on it pick up easy takes for free.

Result is our night goes from ok lets expand and take stuff to, let minimise damage, then retake the stuff we lost for free that are heavily defended, so we are negated for the night too.

If you going to GvG you have to accept the risk of interference, the other guild can only ask people to not add on, there is nothing else they can really do.

But while we are at if we are going to talk about common decency if guilds are planning a GvG during EU prime time make sure you ask if BOON are on the map, if we are we will say sorry no its NOT fine you are doing GvG during prime time while we have ques of people trying to WvW for the server, feel free to leave and organise it on another map or rearrange for another time.

If you want to go yeah well u can’t stop us we pay to blah blah, fine will take our full naked raid to the GvG and add on at the worst possible time and turn it into a farce and sit there the rest of the night roleplaying being naturist inthe bushes waiting to rush out again.

No good GvG and the server will get 0 pts on the map as both parties block the map doing nothing.

I almost did this this week but got distracted on route and calm’d down, but yeah you all heard it here first, so if it happens take the message and clear off as when you go to pm a mass whine at us just remember to you got warned as you will be told to kitten off in no uncertain terms.

Kukos to Zds the only guild to date to actually ask if it would be ok in advance and hey ho the map was undercontrol and we were happy for them to as it was the last week in T2 and we were getting no resistance on the map at the time.

I am sure there are plenty of people not happy with this attitude towards GvG, well we are not happy when ppl GvG on the map we are on, there are three others take your pick, and another 140 hours per week there isn’t ques to go do it in.

Get on TS some time, I miss your empathy.

But yeah I tyhink a lot of guilds have had a hard time dealing with culling a bit but the skill lag is just tormenting organisised groups trying to work together. Just have to plod on and hope for better days soon 0/

A “Good Game” to everyone in VS BL tonight at the Fortified Garrison just brutal, took 3 hours to work our way into it and must have been a 30 min three way boss room fight, truely epic.

Quickly followed by the most amazing epic fail as all of SFR took a well earned break to come back and find VS had pretty much pvdoored it, killed all the afkers and took it back in 5 mins flat! so gg VS totally mugged us, lol fun times.

Back to more civil matters and a big shout from BOON to everyone on VS BL last night, ECL, VcY and all the others from SFR for working so great together, and to GH and the Desolation following them for some massive and big proglonged fights in and around the garrison and ofc VS, you guys get alot of stick but its clear why your No1 at “WvW” for so long, never give up and always planning or working on something, so gg everyone,,, ok gather round, group hug kk.

lol, kind of true, we have never aimed for T1/2 due ot avoiding drama que’s etc but the past few weeks we really enjoyd the bigger more organised raids and servers to fight against despite lag, culling etc etc.

Being on Piken from T8 to T2 also let us fight 22 out of 27 servers in the EU bar Desolation and VS, also Blacktide and Aborstone, but I guess they are well not what they were, so yes this gives us the oppertunity to have chance to fight with them which we would never get to do on Piken due ot the departure of RG, sIN and TUP as well as its heart being in T3. *OMG we missed A.Glade

Sorry you didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. I went to the weekly meeting and let everyone know in person rather than a forum post just so everyone could hear it straight from the horse mouth and ask questions and because people we already asking guilds not to make goodbye posts as they just encourage trolling, drama and affect morale.

Never know once we had our fun with those servers and get tired of lag, massive zerges and no doubt drama etc you may see us again some day!

Posts like this are exactly what is killing off Piken Square you’re right the community is gone and so is BOON laters.

Back to zerging! BOON had great fun with the French in BB Borderlands last night.

Boss room backstab in Garrison, sorry AR, sat back and waited for them to do the hard work and break into fortified Garrison and shamelessly came in behind, epic boss room fight kicked off for 10 mins including them rallying and all coming back to try do it back to us!!!!

Once Keeps were all secured started to pin them in spawn which the were not having any off all kicked off in Bluebriar tower in a zomg 20 min door down tower fight, sorry we had to leave Garrison was under attack by BB and we chose to save it over the tower

So yeah gg to all the French guys NOM, LdF, VR and any others I forget to mention here one hell of a fight night!

The battles inside bay were pretty epic too must have had 150+ player inside bay at one point from all three servers with outer and inner walls and doors down how it didn’t flip is still beyond me crazy stuff \o/

Thanks to TUP, AFTL, EXE, Tpst who were on the map too great night.

Yeah not been able to raid with my guild since patch, give up each nigt tafter a 1.5 hour wait and the 20 mins I did get in a map since patch the map felt dead and had more members quing than in the map!

Just logged tonight after a hou, lost will to play atm tbh.

The story this evening is a little bit different. We came to the map with nothing, PS had our tower and camp. We took it back and went for the bay [T3] – massive defense from BB, (thats why you took hills btw ).

PS tried to get in our back while we worked on the inner ring, but failed. After quite some time we finally took it, and went north to attack BB tower/garrison. Again PS attacked us from behind with a huge force. While we were spread out and regrouping, PS took Bay [T1] uncontested.

lol this is exactly what happened, we ahd a 10 second discussion to either bum rush you in Bay or go for hills hard and fast while you kept them busy, decided to go for hill DT would go try slow things down at Bay then go after bay later when its wood.

The issue for why PS are not putting enough pressure on BB, can’t really tell, the server is in a bit of flux atm due to the transfers and ques etc, as for BOON we have very clear evening raids in prime time and target map is selected 100% on me jumping on any map, looking at map and going wher there is the most to cap back, Weds it was Riversides 3 keeps, Last night was BB 3 upgraded keeps, WvW scores doesn’t really influence me that much as pounding a server for 4 hours isn’t gonna swing it when your offline the other 18-20 hours per day and your server has a small population off peak.

Hence I pick objectives to take over WvW score, basically fun over a number on the internet :P

There is one thing I have noticed though by 9-10pm the past couple of nights Riverside are gone from the map as a major force. Last night there were a lot trying to push back into Bay and fighting at the Blue Vale campsite the thing I used to always note with Riverside was they never stop coming rather than do the wait until they leave and recap routine we see so often from big servers.

I just noticed it the last two nights tbh, maybe it just the “hmm we not gonna win this week” drop of that every server including Piken gets.

Well, thats not Piken Square I used to know anymore. You guys changed from small scale guild fights to hit and run zergs, without any strategic focus. Just running around the map, capping this and that, hitting here and there. It’s sad, because I absolutely loved the matchup we had a month ago.

Are you kidding me? I take it that screen shot is from tonight, we have no Straregic focus?

Really try DT 15 man raid cover Bay, Necr 15 Man Raid cover HIlls BOONs 25 man raid cover garrions and support the smaller raids, results? PS goes from 0 Keeps to taking 2 fully upgraded keeps and and the third and holding all three while fighting both servers… you likely didn’t see BB all night cause of the intense fighting up at garrison and the north tower all night.

So yeah the three guilds working together with great comms and support to each other with some randoms following on took all three keeps and held them,, and now we are a dumb zerge server that relies on numbers in a game where we can only be 1 third the players on the map.

But yeah by 9pm GMT or so once garrison flipped we could feel the life of the map get sucked out of it, from over here, sorry. Not sure what happened after that as I had some recruiting and work on our gamescom 2013 trip to do while on garrison gaurd duty.

Note – Garrisong Guard Duty – tabbing out only to retab at character selection screen,, rinse and repeat! omg such a slacker.

I think there was just A LOT of players there, BB had alot of numbers and PS was qued and had a lot at Bay gate too there could easly been 150 players fighting around south gate of Bay

I also noticed the same every time we tried to regroup another wave of BB would be attacking us, ended up having to run miles away to regroup and then back in. Was epic!

Did you have any coms between you? If not, it looked like it, at least you waited to charge in after DT and us were fighting :P

I missed the Riverside BL fights against other clans, but my guildmates told ,e they were also awesome fights. Keep it up guys! It’s allways fun to play against ppl like you all!

lol yeah I remember that charge, with the culling we had I just ran our raid right at DT’s commander as we couldn’t see anything at that stage bar spell efects but knew there were load of BB in the area, was crazy fights.

We don’t share comms but the WvW guilds on PS have seiged together for what 4-5 months solid now and we know each other playstyle and know where each other is on the map all the time etc.

BOON = Seige guild so when in the open we will add onto any fight without a second though unless asked not to by a guild on the map prior to it. Mainly due to not wanting to get bogged down in long open area mass pvp fights, we have keeps and towers and camps to cap and defend!

We were actually doing some Mass PvP training last night hence you saw us out in the open so much normally we would be trebing, breaking into a keep or building defences and patroling our keeps / tower, running supplies repairing etc.

I guess we got very lucky to find nice sized and good quality guild raids to practise against as opposed to runing over randoms zerges and ot really learning anything, so thanks for that

Same here I play shout/heal guardian since release, i just spam my staff in between empower and have got thousands of spare badges in the bank after buying a full invader set.

I think its a bigger issue for non “Raid Guild” Guardians I supoose if your in an organised and solid team and supporting them they will be farming kills most of the time so you have a steady flow all the time even if it is half the amount other classes in the raid are getting.

I agree I look trolly but having known VoFT for what 4-5 years? If this ain’t a wind up to tease the french, then I will say sorry no problem, but from lots of past experiance I will be amazed if I have too.

If it is genuine then kudos and much respect to them for building bridges I guess time will tell.

Never heard of [Nug], [NOX] well not seen them anyways, [VAR] jooined a few weeks ago and [SFRJ] the past week or so, [DZ] is likely [DT] who have been here since release I think.

But there is not doubt PS has been bangwagoned and gained a off peak that it never had before, we have been kind of holding our breath for a months or so expecting it to be our turn next, 45 mins ques on every map, every night now and 2 hours to get your full raids in if you dc it’s game over.

Can we complain? not really, we had 4 months of awesome fun running riot on our nice quiet server with strong inter guild relationships and great team work, no drama well until this match up and no ques for WvW even with a 30 man raid swapping maps at times in prime time. The server is very attractive to alot of ppl and there nothing anyone can do about it or should try and do about it.

I am sure it will settle back down in a few weeks, and things will get back to more normal again. <3

PS Kudos to the RP-ers in Divinitys Reach sat next to them watching them RP for 30 mins, man they take it seriously missed the full name I am sure it was tagged [CC]

I tried inviting the AR map to Dawn’s Tower for Tea and Crumpets while BOON were camping the breakout events, but no one came, I even offered a range of jams for the crumpets,, oh well it was more for us! nom nom nom.

When paid transfers come it will no longer be which server has the most skill but who can retain the most population and coverage as there will no longer be the means to replace lost players and guilds, when things go sour, then many will be crying for Anet to merge servers etc.

They won’t merge the servers unless there is mass quiting as the pve sections might be too big, the whole point of three factions and server rankings is to balance the WvW fights.

If the ranking system is left to get on with its job (matching equal WvW strengh servers) and paid transfers are in place then after 2-3 weeks blow out weeks will effectivly stop and every server will be able to go into WvW and have a chance at fighting.

Okay obviously you guys didn’t like my entire Gandara pulling together to form a resistance idea; [TUP], [VII], [DT], [SU], [siN], [HoB]… overkill much? xD Think all we were missing was Red Guard and Boon Control… (not sure about GG, they had a fair amount of people, but not sure was just random or not)

Its random, EB and PS gets ques fast so the guilds all go for Gandara and AR BLs so they can get their raids in, RG, BOON, GG and AFTL and a few others were all on AR BL and seeing what we all did to that map tonight they didn’t get it easy either.

It was indeed, Astralhome was the highlight when you turned up, it was ok wipe these guys, oh and the others coming, and those ah crap where the kitten they all come from? :P

But if you think that night was crazy…. we also had AR to deal with down south who we also tried to pin in all night they got going a raid not much smaller who kept golem rushing Hills and trying to catapult Greenbriar too.

Tonight was a good example of if every server turns up and makes a strong conserted effort its impossible for one server to dominate when its wooden keeps and towers you simply can’t cover the map vs 40, 50 man raids.

Was a good night both BOON and VII played past their normal bedtimes it was that much fun sIN turning up at the end was a bonus for sure, \o/

Yeah sorry about that, once the map was under control, BOON camped Cragtop / Astalhome, TUP Sunnyhills/Faithleap, and Tainted the French, lock down mode and we just called in back up on any Breakout event or big push.

omg guys, I think I gonna give the forums a miss this week, you guys really need mellow out, the match up is a clear mismatch now everyone knows it so chill for a week and let the server rankings rebalance them on Friday.

Nice start on Gandara BL tonight as well. Nowhere near epic but we came and did what we needed to do with a few decent fights especially in Bay with it opened up. we just kept getting hammered by both AR and Gandara for hours there

Grats to the commander or raid lead that got hills during that initial 3 way fight nicely executed.

Just a side note – Gratz to Anets ranking system, now servers and player migrations have settled down a bit more the matches are far more balanced and fun just look at the scores and the way keeps and towers change hands too, gets everyone out fighting more too.

They put it in to give everyone a chance to win at WvW each week and that’s exactly what we are getting now gg, this match up could last for weeks!

Only offer 10g Gandara, his french is kitten.

Kudos to AR guys in Gandara BL’s tonight attacking Hill just kept coming back time and time again was relentless, I am really bad at noticing guild tags but you know who you are gg guys and girls!
