Funny that you mentioned this, me and 2 friends did this dungeon today for the first time (not in voice chat).We had 2 randoms and only took 2 tries and about 20-25 min. Only thing I did was to watch a couple of youtube guides and make sure everyone in my party watched at least a 17 min video before we go in( I actually watched the whole dungeon before going in which was 59 min to have a vague idea what to expect). If you took so long is because all of you were totally unprepared. I am a nab in that dungeon as i only did it today for the first time, but found that boss the most well thought awesome boss in game. Please more bosses like that!

P.S. Leave at least 1 dungeon in this game be challenging, you can’t expect the whole content to be suited to your liking. You can get the same stats from COE or COF that are way too easier. Just go there…

Tokens are just fine. You get geared quite fast. Not to mention crafted gear. If anything needs to be changed, it is the drop rate of rare stuff from mobs, maybe rare skins from bosses.

Dungeons way overpowered.

Nice job guys. I think i’ll be posting this to ppl that complain how hard ac is(i saw a relevant thread). You really hurt my feelings with that ranger comment (totally true tho).

They should be completely optional not forced upon you regularly if you want to do a certain dungeon. There is more than enough space in the rest of the map for those events to occur. I know it’s supposed to give this real time world feeling but all it does is delay groups from entering a dungeon for a considerable amount of time. Also, more often than not they bug so you can’t do that dungeon for days maybe weeks.

You are way to specific on which classes to bring and what abilities to use. Dungeons should be doable with a bigger variety of party composition. It is nice that you have found a single setup that fixes the problem, but most people can’t find the party you are describing. I play a ranger does that mean i am not allowed to go there ever?

They have to be. Too many people have been complaining about dungeons being too easy and i’m betting Anet won’t wanna let those people down. It is in the company’s best interest to keep everyone happy meaning that sooner or later there will be really hard dungeons while still keeping easy versions around for casual players. Has been like this in every other MMO i have played.

I think it’s silly to talk about DPS without DPS meters. Especially in a game that full on dps gear is most of the times not the way to go. That said, warriors seem awfully effective at surviving more than most classes in the game, provide good support second only to guardians while still having those 5 digit criticals.

Also, it doesn’t matter what the truth is, but what people seem to believe which is that warriors are the best dps in the game with some support and guardians are the best support class(for guardians i sure think it is true myself) potentially making those 2 classes the most wanted which is what the op was asking for.

P.S. as the previous poster said it is very rare that people will actually ask for specific professions mainly because 70% of the content requires little to no group cooperation/synergy other than run to res the guy that is downed. When dungeons become significantly harder, you will start to see people to want to optimize their group composition.

I’m sorry but what’s so interesting about killing trash mobs anyway? I have seen more than enough threads like your’s all saying the same thing. After like 10 runs or so, you get sick of killing the same trash over and over with no benefit whatsoever. Even bosses usually can take like 5-10min while dropping a couple of blues,maybe greens 90% of the time. Wanting to be efficient with your time is actually smart, you should definitely try it. I can do one path in 20 min and get the SAME amount of rewards as another path that will take double the time. After you beat the harder version of a particular dungeon, it is safe to say, i am good enough to do it but why should i? Give people more rewards for harder/longer dungeons, better drops from trash mobs and you’ll see how fast that “mentality” will go away…

I think you are totally mistaken. There are certain paths in every dungeon(except arah) that is totally doable without pre-made parties. In almost every dungeon, there is an easy, medium and hard path. Compared to other mmo’s i have played, i was surprised by the fact that you can complete several dungeons without the need of voice chat or any serious team coordination.

Your complaints are probably from the huge gap between leveling and going into dungeons. I do not consider myself an “elite player”(and i am not) but i am able to complete at least 1 path from every dungeon(except arah that i haven’t found group willing to go there and wipe until we learn) most times without a single party member’s death. If you really find all paths from all dungeons so hard, you need to practice more. You can’t expect every path to be easy as you want it to be because everyone needs to be happy, casual and hardcore players.

Also some gear does help significantly. A few rares maybe even greens lvl80 will improve your overall survivability. I have witnessed a huge improvement when i went from whatever i could find while leveling to rares and eventually full exotics. Even if you are a glass cannon, dpsing down the packs of mobs before they have a chance to attack too many times makes your life much easier.

Last, getting a group of regular people that are good/experienced players can not only help, but can also carry an inexperienced player and threatening to report people for stating the obvious is ridiculous. I have seen that getting at least 1-2 specific classes/specs certainly improves the performance of the group.

EDIT: it took some time to write this so there were previous posts. CM asura path can be done easily the only hard part is sure-shot sheamus(or whatever he is called) that you need a guardian(maybe two) or someone else to give stability to the group. AC is a bit buggy with borrows, seems to need melee weapons for the attacks to not miss all the time. That lieutenant Kholer is a bit nasty but is skippable so what is the problem?
