Still looking for some members.

Things we don’t want..

1. No raging. I don’t care if we lost by 1 tick, keep yourself level-headed. This is a game and its meant to be fun.

2. No calling players out. Its never helpful to put another teammate down. Even less so, when you’re giving them crap about their ability in front of other players.

3. No trash talking the other team. Its a game, we know, trash talking is part of it. But, we’d rather not get caught up in who is giving out the best verbal jabs.

Things to expect..

1. This is a competitive format. Expect constructive criticism.

2. Modifying your build for the purpose you serve on the team. We will put you where you’re comfortable, but there may be team compositions where you’re required to fill a different role. Be prepared to modify you’re build to that role if need be.

3.Weekly practices. Attendance to these will strongly influence whether you’re on A or B team. Keep in mind class compositions in team games are extremely important, so we will be placing players in areas based on their class fit.

4. Listen to the person who is calling the game. There are times where you’ll have to go with the flow of the match. But, if the person leading the team tells you to take a point or hold a point, do it. If its the wrong move at the time, inform them of it after the game.

All in all, this is meant to be fun. We’re not looking to be #1 in the world. We want to improve as a team and have fun together. This is not a job…

An active and dedicated Guild Wars 2 community. We’re a fairly new guild looking to expand our ranks into all avenues. We have a TS, website, and active members on every night doing everything from WvW, Dungeons, Map completion, whatever floats your boat. We accept all members and encourage people to try us out before making a decision to stay. Its our belief that a person should enjoy the guild as much as the guild enjoys a person. Its a two way street..

What we’re about..

I. Blades Out, Not In
This is an ancient Celtic family rule, as well as the golden rule of the esteemed Gaiscioch family. It is well said; therefore, we have adopted it as our own standard. We strive to keep a friendly environment in which everyone can have fun. Friendly japes are a natural occurrence within groups of close-knit friends, but insulting a fellow guildmate’s level of experience, lifestyle, or decisions may result in your immediate dismissal from the guild.

II. All For One, and One For All
This guild prides itself on our comradery and willingness to help each other. Nobody should put personal gains above another guildmate. Luckily, Guild Wars 2 has developed a game where we don’t have to worry about this too much, but sometimes we may encounter situations that may put us “between a rock and a hard place.” If you see a fellow guildmate struggling with something, lend your hand. Surely, they will return the favor one day.

Etiquettes

It is important to remember that many guildmates may have young eyes watching, and young ears listening while they play. Because of this, it is important that we all maintain a certain level of discretion so as not to cause havoc in the household. Besides, cursing and overly-obscene comments have no place in a family-oriented guild.
Also remember that part of the fun of Guild Wars 2 is that you earn what you get. Please do not beg other members for items, gold, etc. If somebody has something you want, offer an equal trade, or ask for assistance in obtaining it for yourself.

Idleness Policy

Praesidium Aeva has a 30 day idleness policy for all members. We understand that life can get in the way sometimes, but it is also necessary that our ranks consist of people who are actually involved in playing the game with each other in some capacity. It is in the best interests of the guild that members who do not sign into the game at least once a month be removed from the guild. If, for some reason, you may be gone for an extended amount of time, please let an officer know so that you can keep your place with us!

Representation

It is the philosophy of the guild, that members need not ALWAYS represent Praesidium Aeva. If the developers of the game didn’t want people expanding their social networks in-game, they would not have allowed players to join multiple guilds. That being said, it greatly affects the morale of the guild if members do not remain active within our community. For this reason, members should represent the guild and hang out with other members at least sometimes. If you would like to represent the guild occasionally, simply let an officer know so that they can assign you as “Reserve.” If you plan on becoming a “Warden,” please bear in mind that you will be expected to represent the guild more frequently. We hope to create a community in which members can rely on each other.

Lets just say, I hope they’re not on their game.

I’m confused as to how it doesn’t help the player base? I can see reasons why people are upset, but also legit reasons as to why it helps the player base.

I mean, this game has many aspects that require a larger number of people.

If you’re speaking on WvW, then yes, you can level quite quickly with the right zerg. You should be concerned with hitting 80 in WvW because there are significant advantages based on gear.

With sPvP? It doesn’t make a difference at all.

I plan on leveling a warrior solely on PvP soon.

I’ll admit, I tried ESO the last few days as a change of pace. I couldn’t stand it. The character UI is terrible, the colors are bland, it just wasn’t fun or interesting. It reeks of a MMO that is trying to appeal too much to platform gamers. Just a few hours ago I submitted a refund request. I give it 4/10 so I’m back here with GW2.

I got my refund, so I’m sure you can do the same. I told a little white lie though..

Dueling (outside of arenas). I know its not a game designed for it, but there are enough people who inhabit those duel games that it would be fun.

I’m done spending money on the other crap thats out there too..

No kidding? How does this effect damage output as a condimancer? I find signet of spite is fairly important for me and so is epidemic at times.

I’ve been playing MMORPGS for as long as I can remember. I don’t think there is a single western title I haven’t played. I’ve yet to find a single MMO without its problems and complaints. It used to bother me. I would be enjoying a game and then go on the forums to hear people complain about this, or that, and it would completely change my perspective of the game. I guess, I was easily influenced by the opinion of others when it came to games. I was always searching for that perfect game. I think Ultima Online is to blame for that, since I will never find a game to fill its shoes. But, I’ve since come to terms with that. My life is very different than it was then and that has a lot to do with how I enjoy games now.

Guild Wars 2 isn’t for everybody. But, it does a number of things very well. The communication with the developers is one of the best on a community level. It may not seem great to some people, but when you compare it to games like Darkfall Online- Its superb. Don’t get me wrong, are there changes I would like to see in the game? Absolutely. I would love to see new guild features and I wouldn’t object to buying an expansion.

What I’m trying to say is from a general perspective, GW2 is a phenomenal MMO when compared to whats out there right now. Its all subjective really. But, I’m really enjoying it.

You would be happy to know that just about all of your points are noted by the Devs and are being worked on. I also like that they inform us on what they’re not currently working on as well. Its a nice change of pace.

I’m just curious as to peoples thoughts on these two skills. I’m mostly speaking from sPvP perspective since I’ve been debating which one to use. I’ll be upfront in saying I’ve been using spectral walk more so than Flesh Wurm. I may be a bit uninformed. But, thats why I’m here asking you guys your thoughts.

I’ve been favoring Spectral Walk solely for the swiftness. I’ve also found the stun break handy, Spectral Recall seems to work quite nicely as well.

With all that being said, what are your thoughts guys?
