I’ve thought of the same thing for awhile now. Making Warden invulnerable until the first attack is finished. It’s not OP, just dodge roll out of the way, or heck just walk away from it.

I mainly play PVE, so I don’t have a lot of experience in PVP. This would be great for Dungeons/Fractals.

Non AI AOE damage would be great though, Phantasms are just too buggy.

The amount bugs that Mesmers still have since release, I wouldn’t hold my breath on any significant changes..

I have the screen darkness regardless of what I do in the game. If I go to windowed mode and then switch back to fullscreen sometimes it’ll go back to normal. I think it has something to do with App Pausing in OS X.

Looks like some Devs actually went to China for the release. They should be back soon and after a break be back on forums. So let’s not let the Mesmer bug page get too far behind

This is honestly depressing about FOTM. It’s my favorite thing to do on GW2, and when it looks like it might not be working properly ANET has nothing to say.

Just like all the Mesmer bugs..

Really sucks, makes it more and more difficult to log in and play.
At this point I refuse to purchase anymore gems until something is said and done.

A: People prefer the greatsword as they do not have to know all telegraphs of boss fights in dungeons to succeed without constantly dying.

Plenty of experienced players still play this game, just because you’re bored of it doesn’t mean we are. In fact a lot of us in guild stay because we enjoy the gameplay so much. Here are the real reasons people use Greatsword – they either just like the aesthetics, want to be a hipster, don’t want to lean to melee or (and this applied to me) just take a gs/sw+f setup and don’t ever question it. When someone I cof farmed with back in the day asked me why I used gs I honestly didn’t even know why and then went main hand swords. The whole reason we have initiatives like the dungeon mentor guild is so teach people how to do content efficiently, so the more people we can get on board with it, the less gs mesmers we have.

Greatsword does look awesome, reason I used it for awhile myself.

I know in PVE whenever I pug I rarely see other Mesmers.

Do you still love us Anet? I know you’re busy especially with the China release, but would love to get a status update on if there’s any progress being made fixing these bugs.

Maybe this is a little crazy but I personally think it would be cool to change the auto attack animation to the FGS animation and make it an AOE splash.

Plus removing the damage scaling on distance to target would be nice for PVE dungeons when you have to stack (Which is about always).

The channeled AOE mind stab sounds great, as long as it’s worth the immobility while channeling it. Could keep the same animation now but add Chaos Storm effect aroud the tip of the sword that comes out of the ground.

I know these are far fetched hopes, maybe stupid, but I just wanted to throw something in. I’ve been playing Mesmer since release and would love to get some Mesmer attention that’s not nerfs.

I only use GS for when I have to be ranged, or when doing trains/events in PVE since it’s easier and faster to tag more mobs. Otherwise I stick to S/S S/F in dungeons.

Since the game has launched in China, I wonder how many more Mesmers there are now?

Obviously there’s no way of telling, but I hope there’s a good amount more. Maybe if there’s more Mesmers asking for bug fixes we will get some!

Do you think Mesmers would be a popular choice in China?

+1 For staff.

Staff is by far my favorite Mesmer weapon to play, PVE DPS on it though is not so great..

I figured sword would be the best way to go. I’ve seen a couple Mesmers get the staff first. I love Staff, just lackluster in PVE.

This is probably a noob question but I’m finally in the market for an Ascended weapon. I’ve got about all the materials and money needed, just not sure which weapon to craft. I mainly do PVE/Fractals and Dungeons.

Would it be best to go for the 1H sword first? I typically run S/S S/F.

Same issue here. Glad it’s being worked on.

Yes you’re able to copy the file onto an external hard drive and place on your computer. There should be a single .dat file that contains all the contents. I’ve done this a few times with my computers at home. No fun downloading the game twice!

I think you’ll have to download the client from Gw2 first, install. Once it’s installed place the .dat file into the Gw2 folder.
