Watching the VcY vs Bull GvG video I must say that, although annoying, I dont think that those pugs changed the outcome of the fights, VcY moved better, used better tactics and overall deserved this win despite interferences. Props to them.

Just a quick clarification: KAZ has disbanded as guild, but 90% of former KAZ has created “The Bullfighters”. We will continue playing on Desolation and making the greatest effort possible for the server.

Moorta is a very good and experienced commander. Hes the king of EB, and im sure many servers would like to have someone like that, that knows how to lead pugs without his guildies by his side, knows the map perfectly and holds it with all the pugs for the server.

About his style I cant really say, just that every single time hes asked me for help in the night on his map his been really educated and fun, making us come to his call every single time he asks.

To the new guy, there are plenty of commanders in Deso, we dont all have the same style, Im sure you can find a bunch of commanders with whom you feel comfortable following.

About IRON… They are not Deso, but imo, they are the MAIN REASON Deso is where it is.

We alredy got some GvG concerted with some of the guilds mentioned and some others that we didnt really know, seems its not gonna be a wasted and boring week after all.

It is true that having everybody on the same map, although epic, is gonna be a lagfest and not to talk about problems due to culling etc. etc.

Pitty but Intigos suggestion is gonna have to pass through. Sometimes I have ideas I dont really think about ^^

We will have to organize it individually each guild.

Im sure many guilds are eager for this so ill throw some ideas to organise it:

• All on the same day

• Classic “behind south camp” in borderlands. If we are many it can be in different BL and switching but I would love to record it all so I hope we can do only on one BL

• Best of out of 5 clashes

• 20vs20

• Day and hour to be decided, but this week.

• I can make a post here and edit it, with the order of the clashes and the guilds involved. As im sure everyone wants to fight everyone we need to write it down somewhere.

Hope as tomorrow comes we can have some confirmation of the guilds that will like this and when they can attend.

As of KAZ, we can come any day of the week from 07:00pm GMT+1 onwards

Well actually not. 1 day you had like a 300 income during primetime for some hours and another day you also had 330 peak in prime time. So out of the whole week you did have some prime time leads some days.

Sounds fair as you are a strong server like the other 2.

I wont mention anything. The rules of silence over obvious facts seem to be really really important, more so than solving the obvious facts themselves, that are a DALY happening in WvW.

But shhh lets not talk about it.

Deso does not lose this week because of the unmentionable happenings, this “only” mine the morale, we are losing because we dont have a morning force.

This weekend we had a mirage in the points because Wrex and IRON made the wise effort of waking up at 06:00am saturday and sunday, countering VZ morning force.

The huge period that goes from 05:00am to 14:00pm, where VZ ticks all the time more than 400 points is clearly the key to wining.

Untill that is dealt with we cant really think we can win. Would be delusional.

Tbh, Im not so sure if im up for the effort, to me it seems like an overkill to wake up at 5am during weekdays to win a gold medal in this game.

I thought that T1 would bring the best fights Europe can offer, but apparently those are going on in T2…

We seem to be wining the nights by a small margin of 50 to 100 points, surely not enough to counter the VZ morning raiders.

People dont seem to assume that there are quite a lot of players whos timetable for playing is the night, and enjoy doing so as they have done it for many years in many other games.

As founder and Co-leader of a competitive WvW guild myself, I cant avoid seeing myself in all the feeling your post delivers.

The only thing I am not so sure of is the progression / reward. I agree this should exist but maby not as gear or ability rewards. For me, titles, achievements or cool skins would be enough… or something of the like, something unique and difficult that only hardcore WvW players could aspire to have.

About the rest of your post, I just totally agree, I am so shocked that WvW has been so low in the devs priorities I just cant understand it.

We start off with a tight night, Elona really strong as every weekend… Will they keep up the pace? will Deso beat VZ? I doubt it in both cases.

We had a huge 3-way fight in Deso BL Garri really nice (if it wasnt for skill lag), happens every reset in T1, nice to not loose the good traditions ^^

Atm in EU T1, nights are quite tight in the score between Deso and VZ. Actually Deso imho is winning the night. Nights would be much more fun if we had a 3rd server with night presence in the tier.

The problem comes in the morning, there only VS has some coverage. With no more free transfers its going be really difficult to change this.

Not to mention that to get some coverage in GMT mornings we would need people who’s prime-time starts in GMT+8/9/10. This means night players from Australia, China, Japan, Korea and east Russia.

I am against point value according to population as we would surely have the no-play tactics stated on above posts.

Maby mixing EU and US ladders would be a good option, but Im not sure if this is possible due to servers, lags and stuff of the sorts.

As always VZ really solid and persistant defenses.

Anyway we got almost all map, almost all of the night, was quite fun.

Btw wth was that bug kicking half of the people out of WvW like at 3:30 am- 4:00?
VZ was sieging inner hills, we had built an army of siege and where rejecting you.
Then the bug kicked half of us, I also saw it kicked half of your guys which I think benefited us in the end, as we could clean what was left of you in the inside.

Hi in Deso we seem to be having the same queue bugs and problems since patch.

I think you are really wrong there, I can hardly see that GW2 would have this success without the WvW community.

But as both our opinions are based on impressions probably it is not worth to argue about this point.

Well Deso right now is beating them in the night but they are coming back in the morning where we dont have a great force.

Afternoons are quite tight but I think Deso wins in potential points most of the time, but by a small margin.

The gaming comunities are way to used to being robbed in their face and have sadly got used (in the case of mmos) to the “monthly pay” system that is pure and utter robbery.

Just do some math dude 60$ x 3 000 000 copies on release = 180 000 000$. Even with the retail, marketing and all other expenses I think we are talking really good money.

The good thing about it is that if they move well and keep a good player base, next year they will have another 100 million $$$$ inc

I totally disagree with hidden metrics.

I want to know when why and what of the scores. I want to know all the details and I want to develop my guilds strategy based on those details.

Ofc people are obsessed about the scores and rankings because that is what they have to compete aside of the ocasional GvG or Guild Vs Zerg, but you cant count and measure those atm.

What the OP is suggesting is just having a suprise every week, absurd moments like “oh we didnt score enough this week, maby next week we can play a bit more” wtf?? are you serious??

And on the other sub-topic, I think the magic of WvW lies in the fact that you actually can play strategy games mixed with massive pvp. And yes, you can do both.

I agree that a reset is fair after free transfers end.

However they should have put a week or two of fast matchups of 1 or 3 days not more.

This, although not perfect, would have saved us a lot of boring weeks.

Next week in EU we are having 2 servers moving up more than 20 posts in the classification, this is quite an aberration.

I doubt they do this for money as most of the people will trade gold for gems if they want to transfer, they will not buy with cash.

I agree that for some strange reason Anet has mistreated WvW players since launch, with crap updates if any.

I think the disconnection the OP talks about sadly happens in every big game and this one is no exception.

It is difficult to listen to the player base as it always has a variety of contradictory opinions, but I dont understand this case, where it is obvious that the WvW population is the one keeping the game alive and running.

Or anyone imagines this game without WvW and its players?

Maby 40 and 60 are to few for the numbers you are used to at night, but I can assure you this numbers at night are more than ok.

Strategically bay is much easier to take than hills, but with both your zerg and VZ runing arround and your T3 structures, we cant really go on ofensive tbh. We have not done any serious attack on bay, just some trebs, going in first wall and saying hi etc

We have been bussy solving the disaster of the morning for most of the afternoon/night. Upgrading wooden structures while fending off both your atacks and VZ as it is natural on this map.

We have had some nice fights, keep it up guys!

About the suggested point system that balances with population I find it really absurd.

We would have tactics like “hey lets not log on so they win less points”

Not to mention that players that only play during the night (like myself and many many others) due to many RL reasons, would be unfarly wronged.

It is better to assume this is a 24h 365 days war game and stop crying about it.

Actually you wouldent even need to use the gliko2 system on the daily matchup week.

Just use this week for positioning servers adecuately. And then kick in the maths once we are all on the correct positions.

I cant imagine a month of roflstomping lower populated servers till we reach our correct tier again. Its NOT gonna be fun. And its NOT gonna be fun for to long.

They should make a week with daily matchups.

Tier one in EU is balanced, some servers on lower tiers are making lots of points. What is gonna happen?…..

Only a WvW player goes to bed, closes his eyes, and sees a sea of red triangles above enemy corpses.

Only an EU T1 WvW player at 05:00am knows what a herd of zombies is.

Only an EU WvW player hates Canadians, Americans and all other continents for not letting him sleep.

The points are really tight during the day and diferences are gained during the night and morning. I think this 3 servers are native T1, guess we would have had this matchup for a long time in T1 if it wasnt for Arborstones debacle.

About aliances and other ghosts I think its more simple than all that. SFR is weaker this week and it is Desos natural rival as we have some night presence and you got less. Also SFR was second on points as was VS last week so obviously we need to go for you.

Also another note: KAZ has been aproached by some SFR members quite insistently trying to get us into an alliance vs VS. We have been tempted but we rejected all the offers.

Why? Mainly because we beleave in the 1v1v1 and although in some circumstances “convinience” alliances are are unconciously made during the fight in a map, I trully think this is part of the game. If you see that you are not being atacked from the south you move north with most of your forces I find it logical.

Wow yesterday was a busy night we where multimaping like mad, solving a crisis here, cleaning up there, we barely had time to do some proper pauses and breathe.

All that sumed up with some interesting fights in SFR border at the begining of the night. Props to all involved! keep up the good fights!

Sunnyhill/longvew is a tricky door and aparantly while hitting it you got chances of going through it. I think as long as the guy that gets “absorbed” inside leaves the tower asap all is fair and good.

Well id say fighting both servers is not wierd at all.

We cant control that ER is against 1 dead sever and another weaker server, in any other circumstance Deso would stay T1 for quite longer.

But well lets not rule us out just yet. I think (hope) the week could bring suprises.

Points where really tight all night, untill the morning came. Weekend is not a good base to make predictions on.

Im curious to see how SFR will fare during week-nights without PRX, will deso have a chance there?

My thoughts on next week:

Imo we are ruling out Deso to fast out of T1.

While it is true that Elona will prolly roflstomp T2 next week, T1 with PRX out of the equation, is gonna be tighter on the points.

SFR looses its main night force, and that only means more points for VS and Deso.

According to MOS site (btw thnx MOS for doing Anets job) we (Deso) are some 50k ahead of ER.

This week ER has actually roflstomped and they are gaining 20k. Deso on the other hand is also Gaining points while staying 3rd.

Unless other factors come into the equation, like important guild migrations to VS, I think that untill Piken comes to T2, T1 will stay the same.

On another note GL PRX on your way back home, as Ogre posted we crossed with you on your first week in Europe and now we crossed on your last. Its been nice to fight against you!

We spent most of our night in VS bl like every day this week and finally could take that kitten VS garrison. Id say it was a 4 hour effort? Really good job there [HOPE] ^^

Props to VS for their stubborn defences once again. Never seen such willingness to keep up when all odds are against.

Seems we got this T1 matchup for a long time, scores are tight in general although SFR got the clear advantage.

Personally I find it epic that VS has been the most dominating server up to the day.

Trying to organise and hype-up a mostly pug server with no big guilds on it is hell. I can assure you its not an easy thing to do.

All my respect to VS in general for their stubborn defenses and their will to keep up even when they are clearly getting surpassed in the open field.

We may not like it at a personal level but I think double teaming is a legitimate part of the game.

This is a war game and alliances between rivals to beat the strongest, although difficult to achieve, sound like an extra fun-factor in the game, dramah included.

Instead of so much QQing we could accept this as a possibility and move on.

On another note, SFR seems to have huge coverage at almost all times making them the strongest point-gainer by far.

To beat them in the points maybe there is only one possibility… but shhh, those are dirty tricks!

I don’t hate VS. They play very well the point game. They are the best at that.

I think the match-up looks really tight on the points. We will see how the servers perform in week-days. Compared to last week this one is a blast.

We had some nice fights tonight in VS borderlands… got some 150+ medals from the killing.

It seems we are having many more population than the other two servers.

That doesent take out the fact that on AS map, where I guess the server was all-in, you guys had a HUGE zerg. Much larger than any of our numbers by far. This Zerg lasted on map untill at least 3:00 am.

We had queue on AS Borderland untill arround 2am

Anyway it is true that it was not the most exciting night in GW2 history…

Lets see how the rest of the week goes. Also looking forward towards the 7th where we also end our vacation and expect to be in full force.

Impressive battle in Arborstone Borderlands right now.

One of the best in my gw2 life.

Yesterday night we had less KAZ than friday. We where 19 + 5 Allies from another spanish clan that are taking a look at how Deso is.

Nevertheless we had some good battles.

The best one was when we took the Garrison, BT recieved us with all the love ballistas arrowcarts and catapults can give. When we where solving that, they did a tp in very good numbers that almost wipes us off.

Being in BT borderlands I didnt notice any big difference in the numbers of the home server Vs ours untill 1am or so. Cmon it was Saturday, you could have stayed a bit longer!!
