Today we had numbers superiority in BT bl. But it was fun when we found opposition, had some nice fights. Lets see how the week evolves.

First night on Deso for me after migration.

Had good fun, lots of germans.

Seems the night force of Arbor and Deso went on vacation. Tonight until 2 am was fun, with good fights as usual. After it was horribly boring pvdoors.

As for the tower event, it was a random mesmer that placed the portal and many people entered it in the confusion.
I was in one of the golems during the event and the door was invulnerable for 1 minute, time when we decided to take them back and build catapults.

We love competition and beating our enemy in the battlefield and surely anyone that has fought with or against us knows that. We dont want shortcuts of any kind, our interest lies in fighting and killing our rivals.

Outside the flame war of who nightcaps who, that sounds really absurd in T1, id respect a lot VS for being the only stable server in the game, having held their T1 position during all the games existance.

I think they realise it is better to fight in the long run than the short, and they always end up beating flashy bandwagoning servers like BT, Deso and SFR.

I would surely prefer to keep myself and my server in T1 every single week that make a 3 week push into T1 to think myself good and then get bored and leave.

Lets see if SFR can prove me wrong and keep themselves as a stable T1 server.

I think we are living yet another T2 “transformation” into T1.

Guess it is a competition between Elona and Baruch to stay T2. Same as last week with Deso.

Could we team up against SFR? Guess the answer is yes but I cant really imagine a lot of coordination between German speaking people and Spanish speaking people XD and anyway, we are not here to halt a legitimate wish of a server to be T1.

I, in all honesty, prefer T2: there is almost no queues, we find really good fights (all that this game has left for us) and some forum drama/trolling from time to time.

We will never give up the fight. But inevitably if nothing changes game-wise in WvW, there will be the day we decide to quit this wonderful game that for some reason developers are ruining.

You made a huge push to fort at the start but ER where smart and conquered fast your terrain and ours.

We went for simultaneous atacks on both sides when we noticed the first signs of your forces faltering.

Looks like one of our best fridays in a long time, im suprised of all the random Baruch Bay people that showed up for a fight.

Was very very nice night, thanks to everyone involved on the 3 sides :)

Overall, BB have been a hilarious opponent, never really forcing that clutch play just being plowed like crops during harvest season and it reflected on their points, till they brought out the night force.

Lets let pass the rage-fart and look at some numbers.

Im looking at the income evolution section. Lets check how the days have been up to now:

What I see here is Desolation beating BB saturday afternoon for arround 4 hours.

Then there is… ah yeah! the epic battle at 8am in the morning of sunday, where Deso finaly gets some points over us, that must have been tough to carry through.

Ofc the same Sunday at arround 8pm our evil “night cappers and PvD’ers” are already beating you in points scored.

But Deso is to strong. Monday at arround 7am, “outnumbered” brave Desolation soldiers fight again evil Baruch hordes back from their stolen lands. Must have been a thrill.

Pitty this Monday the evil BB night cappers and PvD’ers were beating you again at 13pm.

Would be nice, its something I think would make the matchup more interesting for the 3, but Deso and BB are competing for permanence in T2 so the fight is among us leaving you to your T1 aspirations XD

Two weeks ago we lived the transformation of a T2 server into a T1 one.

T2 was Elonas Reach, Baruch Bay and Arborstone.

First week scores: Elona 226k BB 215k AS 182k

Second week scores: AS 327k Elona 153k BB 135k

The people who lived this transformation more or less agreed that the difference is real 24/7 coverage.

Arborstone suddenly had a 60+ army in almost every map at every single hour of the game.

Lets face it: none of the 3 servers in the actual match-up have real 24/7 coverage, in the numbers that T1 needs.

SFR is the one that aproaches this the most. Not only it has its core of hard working organizers but also enjoys a fairly large population. But I really think they still need a bit more population to reach T1, with its queues at almost all times.

Personally I dont really know if I would like that T2 seems a fine place to be for me.

200 000 barbarians could take over a whole country. 20 000 romans could beat them. Problem for the romans is when there is not enough of them to cover all the maps.

It was not my intention to hurt your feelings, I was just stating the facts based on my experience and giving my opinion, I apologize if anyone felt offended or provoked.

I still think the key is in the numbers.

SFR has a huge WvW population but I don’t see any difference at all in tactics or player quality. Last time we met SFR, I did see it and I acknowledged in the forums, prasing SFR organization and gameplay (suprisingly I got flamed for that also XD).

Not this time around.

My impression, based on experience, is that our tactics are better and our soldiers are stronger as we win every single fight.

Although it is always dangerous to generalize taking into account I can only be in one map at a time and I only play in a certain timetable.

Well for BB the weekend is the weakest time of the week. We are trying to hang arround in points so maby during the weekdays we can surpass Deso.

Both of our rival servers have A LOT more population than us but I find their Zergs soft as gelly and not very good quality.

Yesterday night in Deso Borderlands was a killing fest but we where just overwhelmed by numbers. We where wiping one zerg south to have to immediately run north to wipe another zerg and so on.

We even did a 10 man takeover of the central fort just to see a SR zerg waiting outside to steal it. At least we scored this 2 times O.o

Its nice to see SR again, from what I see they lost quality for quantity which now a days is quite a smart choice tbh.

Good fights overall up to now. I hope we can get over the weekend and see if during weektimes populations are a bit more balanced.

Im sad to say the answer to the Op is yes. After this patches 180º turn GW2 has come to gross the list of pve mmos. And like all of them, it will fall in disgrace after some short time.

Hey really AS is not the same server this week than last week.

Im just curious about what happened.

Im a night player and it is the first time I see a truly 24/h server, just it is the same server we faced last week when it was not 24/h. Something has changed it is a fact.

I would just like to have a logic explanation to it nothing more.

Anyone who discredits your well earned victory this week does not understand the way WvW works, this does not remove the fact that AS has changed ALOT one week to the other.

Tbh last week was much more fun. Matchs where tight, and the winner was decided on the last day. This week I think AS has more WvW players than Elona and Baruch together.

Baruch will drop to T3 due to the masive loss in points. But lucky for us, as a really small WvW server, we wont be facing 24/h full populations there anymore.

Would be nice that someone tells us the reason of this change and again grats on your victoty.

Im an 100% WvW player, and play some 8 hours a day. Every day.

For me this patch is the end of a dream.

A dream of no grinding and a dream that, at last, one main-stream mmo would give priority to PVP.

The metaphor would be: The developers of the game have inserted a cancer. The game is ill, and it will die slowly as the treadmill advances in its implementation. Some of us may quit before the pain starts. Others will hold a bit more and will watch in first person how another fantastic mmo advances to its inevitable death.

Personally I give the game some 2 weeks to react. After this “credit time” I predict WvW players will start quitting massively. It will be no return point for some of us, and imho for this great game.

I think they have 1 week to make a detailed statement on what their intentions toward WvW are. This is the time im giving before I quit.

Could we have any kind of info on why doesent the WvW reset?

We are really bad, the 21 servers behind us where all much better than us.

But I always thought people still play this game because of WvW

I dont get this PVE priority thing.

+1 to the idea, but the bonus should also change. It could be as simple as extra points.

We are used in Baruch Bay to people from other servers coming in the forums to say that yes, we beat them hard, but somehow we are worse players overall due to tactics, organisation and things like that.

They say those kind of things because they cant ever be proven, but sound interesting and makes the poster look like he knows something about what hes talking about.

Nothing new in the horizon, we know why we win. We win because we organise ourselves better than our rivals. We win because we teach our casuals what to do when they are in WvW. We win because our guilds and commanders colaborate on maps. And we win because we beat you in the battlefields.

I always congratulate our rivals. Win or lose, every week gives me fantasic fun moments and tough fights.

Somehow some forum dwellers dont like our servers presence, and are confused and shocked by our success. These people always are proven wrong, normally with hard tought lessons in the battlefields and a strong point disadvantage after the week.

Keep underestimating us. It just makes victory sweeter.

Not a feasible strategy when you meet a turtle outside the confines of attacking or defending an objective.

Theres two options: run and regroup hoping they do push to your keep, or turtle yourself. That’s where I get bored and log off, I do not want to have to use this to survive. I miss the spread out battles where small groups broke off and tried to flank you… That was strategy and tactics.

We destroy turtles anywhere, in open field with siege. It is our counter and always works.

Anyone that knows anything about Baruch Bay knows there are no South American guilds from South America in the server.

We are struggling to get this so we can cover more time zones as we ascend in the posts and slowly become a bit more competitive

Just tell any of your friends that can read spanish to have a look at our community forums and you will stop putting the south american excuse to your loses against BB.

And tbh coming from someone from Gandara that is like our “food” server whom we beat time and time again in all time zones and in every matchup it is jus pathetic.

What is matters night capping do favour to none actually.As for Baruch Bay as a player from Gandara can confirm it-in each and every single match we had with them they did night-capping with little to non-existent battle spirit during actual time when you see well players logging to play Wv3.And as from today a server resorting to hack/cheat/exploiting to take over Bluebriar tower.Tower being ours for all the time i have been in Gandara Borderland around noon-roughly 2 hours.Tower they did try several times to capture without success.Best they can do at our map at that time-cap the workshop camp for few minutes with supply caravan sitting there-they had no keep no tower at that time.And above mentioned hack happened in front my eyes-i was in Bluebriar at that time.And it was not a portal-no sane person would sit in captured tower doing nothing missing opportunities for almost 2 hours.From time to time all of us defenders were outside retaking workshop or fighting near their spawn base.But since it is ok to night-cap and being even proud from it reading topics at other 3rd party forums well guess it is ok for them to resort to cheats to capture towers and keeps.

It is the first time I see an acusation of BB using cheats. If it is true please report it as our community does not support this actions.

Talking about strange events: wth happened with the orbs today? They where in fortresses and all three suddenly reseted to their north camps. Resulting in gandara taking all 3 orbs.

Well this is free whining. I can understand SfR was angry when we had more presence in the night than them as they really played well and coordinated during the day. Crushing our zerg rabble. So it hurts more I guess.

But Gandara and Fort Ranik are very similar servers to BB: totally unorganised and random zerging all the way so this is just a cry post.

About the south americans Id like to comment one thing:

We dont have the luck of having South American guilds that actually live in SA. Spain has millions of immigrants from south america as we are sister cultures with the same language. So obviously there are a lot of south american players in BB but they live in Spain, not SA.

Our night presence is medium because Spain has a lot of unemployment and also because Sapnish tiemtables are much more nightly than Northern Europe timetables. Where in Europe many people have dinner at 7, we have dinner at 9. When in Europe many go to bed at 23:00-24:00 we go to bed at 02:00-03:00.

I wish we could have some SA guilds from people that live in SA. With that we would obviously dominate the night with hours long 600+ scores. We get those scores only from time to time unfortunately.

Hello this morning all 3 orbs reseted in our servers match-up.

Im in Baruch Bay – Fort Ranick – Gandara

Alll 3 orbs where on altars in fortresses.

Conviniently there is a server that seemed to know this happened and has all 3 orbs now.

Id like to know if this was something Anet did because there is one orb that is bugged. If so it did not work as that orb continues to be bugged.

If Anet did not reset the orbs would be nice to see who did this or what caused the aledged bug.

Can we have a response from Anet to know if it was you that did this pls?

Same thing happened to us tonight.

I think orb carrier actually died. After, this Orb dissapeared from the map and the quest with the timer appeared to everyone on our side.
4 Mins later it was on their castle and the quest dissapeared.

Was very strange.

Puzzles shouldent exist in WvW imo.
I really find that its ok that people pk in them. It is pvp grounds, and by doing them you occupy a slot of another player that actually would like to contribute to your servers war effort.

I dont agree. One day matches make upg forts and camps just sensless. And I think a 4 week cycle is to big, most matches are decided on the 4 first days.

Servers that are able to put up a fight 24/7 ought to win as they obviously got the organization to drive a long lasting war which is what WvW is all about. If you are in a high pop server YOU GOT the players playing at night. If they dont join WvW is YOUR SERVERS FAULT.

Insulting night players saying they are unemplyed is so ignorant. What about the guy that works from 15:00 to 23:00 ? Ever thought of those? shop attendants, restaurant workers, services workers in general… they ought to count less because your school/office timetable is more important? Give us a break from your cry please.

Get your services working players that “live” in the night because they WORK when most of you kids play, and organise them.

Stop making whine posts for arenant to solve your organization problems. Some servers adress this issue and organize themselves KNOWING this is a 24/7 effort and some dont. Simple as that.

Want number balance? Structured pvp is for you. There arenanet makes sure you get a “fair” fight.

One Thing is to not have night players in WvW and another is to not have those players at all.

It is certain that any high pop server has night players it is not an issue to discuss or not. Its a fact, you have them.

They just dont go into WvW. The why you will have to figure out yourselves. I guess it is because you dont have them organised, and when they log into WvW they get insta roflstomped, preventing them from coming back again.

Dont think you dont have the players it is statistically imposible its an excuse.

In the European case I think the canadians on the french server is just a legend. Ive heard spooky storys of 500 man guld roflstomping the night but i got some friends on VS on prominent guilds and they tell me its just a legend and a troll. So the canadian argument is not valid at all its just an excuse, a scapegoat.

The competitive server in GW is a server that can put up a fight 24/7 during all the week.

My point is some players in some wannabe competitive servers cry because they get roflstomped at night. That is their bad and only theirs. There are players in their servers who play at night. Sufficient enough to put up a fight, organise them and dont cry.

Im a night player on an uncompetitive unorganised server, I dont cry.

I try to organise what i got. The other two servers roflstomp us at night. I dont come to the forums with 500 canadian legends and night screens. I try to organise and do what I can with the people we have. I think WvW is realistic in making it a 24/7 7day effort not just a laggy queue fest for saturday afternoon players.

Julius Caesar, Napoleon or Gengis Khan didn’t have to fight the same enemy multiple times though; once their armies killed someone, those guys were dead permanently.

Napoleon and Cesar didnt fight the same rivals? I think Cesar fought the Gauls for like 5 years and Napoleon was beaten by those he had beat years before so yeah all that for the history class…

Besides funny how you can only adress the “Rolplaying” reason of my post ignoring the fact that high pop servers got more or less the same night population, just this is organised in some servers and not in others

I cant belive FS and Deso (both high population servers) dont have enough population at night. I think its just they dont organize themselves at those times, that is a bad on their side.

Instead of whining in the forums they should try and organize their night players.

Giving preference to prime time is so unfair and, sorry to say, stupid it shouldent even be adressed but hey seems we are at this level. 2 simple reasons:

2) What about all those people that work during your precious primetime? they dont have the right to play? they dont count as much as your school/office timetables?

Think of all the waiters, shop atendants, service workers in general that work in your primetime and come home at 23:00 and expect to play all night their game because they dont enter work untill 15:00. We punish them? they count less? dont be ridiculous.

This people exist in your servers. Get them organized and stop crying.
