Considering the fact that Taimi hacked into Tarir’s systems, I wonder if her tampering is partly responsible, too. Oh yes please, finaly some rest from the bossy teen asura. I thought i hated Zojja the most in this game, but caithe and taimi are quickly following up.

I stopped trusting her. Left up to me, I wouldn’t let her within two zones of the egg or three zones of the pale tree.

• She conspired with another sylvari to hide a secret, denying her race and even its leaders/elders a chance to choose their own destiny.
• When confronted with the threat, she kept that secret, despite the fact that it obviously had huge potential to impact decisions made by her friends, the Commander, the Marshall, the Pact, and Tyria generally.
• She unilaterally decided that she knew better than anyone else how to protect the egg.
• She fails to show up to Eir’s funeral.
• She waits until the commander (aka Poohbah) is in danger before even attempting an apology. And let’s be clear: it wasn’t an apology. In effect, she said she’s sorry she got caught and that she’d make the same choices again.

This i agree with completely. I cant believe the choices PC made in the last instance, particulary this one.
Why by dwayna does he suddedly trust a sylvari who stole the egg she knew the pc was suppoused to keep? Id keep her away from egg or dispose of her immediately upon meeting her in hot.
It makes the story so one dimensional too.. You never get any major betrayal from people you trust and then end them, it would be really LAME with Lazarus, given that he is once again a new character, but betrayal AND death of a long known one would make n impact- everybody excpects lazarus to betray us. Also to us personaly lazarus did nothing yet, but Caithe caused death of half the pact, Eir and Trahearane, close comrades of the pc.
But no, lets trust her again..

doubtful. what you may be noticing is simply a game mechanic. remember, you’re unarmed when you’re in the disguise, so having a destroyer crab attack you while you’re in disguise would be a low blow given you have no way to defend yourself.

Then why would they put the crab there in the first place? There must be a reason why it didnt attack. If it wasnt suppoused to work that way, why put him there?
This theory is sound, i support it.

I definitely felt that there was something missing in terms of interaction between the player and the dragon hatchling. Yeah, your character clearly tries to protect it from the Destroyers and Lazerus, but you never really acknowledge the hatchling directly. No dialogue towards the dragon itself, just to the other characters ABOUT Aurene. You practically ignore her as you’re talking about her to the others.

I would have liked to see something along those lines at least. Nothing overly involved or anything, but something at least. An “I got your message”, a vow to protect her, anything involving a direct interaction.

That vow idea is accualy brilliant for any type of commander.
It would make sence, given that the character is slightly mind affected by her as her champion, even the most ruthless commander would say it, for one reason, beight mind control, or because they accualy mean it.
Somebody might say that there is no mind control or bigger connection and its just visions.. but given that we are not just chosen, like with glint in gw1, but ultimately her main champion, (like Shatterer is to Kralka or Teq to Zhaitan)
we are bound to be affected far, far more.
I assume, and hope that it will go much further in the story itself:

-it could give interesting plotwists and depth to the story (distrust by others for the pcs connection to a dragon once people find out- i really hope for this!)

-could give sense of belonging, which you cant just give from the Personal Story since each race and order has a different one- but we all have the dragon hatchling.

-the pc could use someone to connect to and warm up to ( mentors died immediately, the pc didnt care about trahearanes death at all- which was sad imo, didnt seem to be as affected by eir eighter)

-would make the cold disconnected commander at least show something for someone and fiercely protect like a true hero withnout triggering players (its like caring for a lost child, anybody can understand)
(most, including me, would get triggered by romance, but pc caring for a hatchling that most like, completely adore or at least not mind can work wonders)

The dragons gaining powers is awesome. Never expected that.

The one thing that bugs me is my characters reactions. I wasn’t mad at Caithe in HoT. I trust Marjory and wouldn’t tell her not to follow Lazarus. I just don’t like those reactions.

The reactions bug me too :/ id trust lazarus, Because lore! Soo much lore!
id be also interested in when would he betray us, or maybye anet played us with showing us how much we shouldnt trust him and then proving us wrong.
I still hate caithe :v wishTrahearane survived.. I generaly have unpopular oppinion on that one.
Also the pc reaction to Aurene was so dull.. While the moment of the vision was just perfectly done i was honestlx terrifid for the egg and felt love in that moment, the “i just knew” Made me squee.. i was so sad about there beigh no other things done :/ hopefully the next chapter will bring us a more protective commander and more scenes with the hatchling <3

And the dragon herself, i hope people wont just accept it once one day the word spreads.
Would be amazing if the so well known commander who everybody looks up to became distrusted as a dragon minion and we had to regain the trust (not with just a questbut like a part in some ls or expansion! How cool would that be?

My reaction to the cutscene in the last instance: “cuuuuuuuuuute”(a brief pause) (dragon starts making “scary” noises toward destroyers) “hoooooow cuuuuuute” (makes crapload of screenshots)

After staring in disbelief for a few seconds (because of all things, I did NOT expect two giant, yellow, adorable, baby dragon eyes) I found myself praying for ANet to license an official plushie. Or at LEAST a minipet.

But I really want a plushie……cough cough for my daughter of course. cough

Id buy that minipet withnout a blink of an eye even as a 2000 gem bundle, but sadly it would be a walking spoiler :/
We need moore missions with that dragon! I will champion on her side even if she decides to be evil in the end!

Ahah i feel exactly the same! Wrote it all down in my own topics.. great job just great, almost forgotten my sadness fron Trahearanes death and lack of any funeral (of a person known by bassicaly every npc ingame..)
Hope for more Aurene missions cant wait!

In bloodstone fen you can buy a portal scroll, i imagine one of the quest vendors should have something like that too, ill reply to this page again if i find something

Anyone else feeling utter adoration for glints egg? how the dwarf saw you having a faraway gaze.. How glints egg called you at the end to see it and protect it was such a great touch! Well done anet!
I was afraid the story would end with the vision, but luckily no!
Sad thing was that, once again, the commander showed no attachment to the hatchling, which was sort of a let down, would be great to see them just a little bit more caring for it, instead of just “lazarus stay away” and “duh, caithe protect it, now bb”.
At least some text dialogue at the end with Aurene, in similar fashion with the rabbit in raid w3 would be enough.
The fight itself and plottwist with Lazarus was brilliant! Cant wait for the next living story!
Hope for more Aurene champion quests later!

What do you guys think?

The next living world brought us into a great map, showed us a cool new travel way and epic fire and ice news.. But one thing that stood out in particular was the dialogue and how hilariously sarcastic the commander has become.
For the love of dwayna please keep up the sarcasm. Its the best thing that happened to the commander since he/she started showing emotions in the previous episode in ls3, i laughed out loud at his description of the chak pod and most of his/her quotes were gold!
On the other side this new ls makes the commander once again become the errand girl/boy, which was handled better in hot, but he/she left the pact so yeah.
Thanks arenanet for bringing us such an amazing game!

What are your oppinions on the new living world episode?

Started happening to me too yesterday in TD, i thought it was just caused by too many effects, but even after the meta ended and i tried several other maps on different servers i could not see any difference in my fps or lags. Now i cant even play properly, please fix this, i love playing this game, buying all the things in gemstore. Many players would hate having to quit the game now.

Found another weird thing, the wings dissapear when you are downed or are preforming an animation (eg. Bow) it looks weird when it suddedly dissapears

I love that the hawk wings are actually shaped like real bird wings. They look awesome. It would be great if they could also add some more versions of these wings in different colors.

The wings have beautiful design and animation!
It is a shame they cant be dyed.
I would grealty appreciate the ability to dye them, it would be amazing if we could choose the color (even if it ment that we had to pay more gems for color change transmutation charges etc) beacuse i personaly dont like the hue.
