I know the topic of underwater masks has been brought up many times. Right now in its current state, they are a hindrance on the player. They make no sense (other than the role playing concept). The logic behind them is flawed and create a redundancy in the gear. Underwater weapons work perfectly, because they bring new aspect to underwater battle (skills and abilities). The under water mask are just a lesser helms that replaces another helm…
This is what I propose.
1) While under water, you keep the benefit of your main helm (including the rune).
2) Remove stats and sockets from under water helms.
3) Add unique underwater aspects to helm
<For example>
>10% movement speed under water.
> Spear skills have 10% fast recharge rate
> 5% less dmg under water.
4) Can even go further and add different “breather inserts” (sockets) to the helms.
You can make helms purely ascetic. You can insert (socket) the unique inserts into them (10% swim speed, skills recharge rate, ect…)
Glad to hear. I hope it’s fixed soon (I just got my Foefire’s essence =D )
Here are the links to how to calculate how much dmg a skill should do and the critical hit it should do as well. Hopefully providing some raw data will help. Also some screen shots of the current state of the damage (pre screen shots would help a lot too).

Maybe someone who’s good at figuring this out can help.

You’re extremely fortunate if your zerker is only doing 20-40% less damage. I’ve seen much less. Normally hot for 6-7k… hitting for 1500-3k now. Makes me not want to play at all.
So it’s monday… Do you think anet will even acknowledge this?
Has there not been any response by anet yet? I need to know if I should start making a new main.
Whether it’s a bug or intended. I feel we deserve some sort of response to the matter.
Along with the other various bugs.
1). iZerker is doing maybe 1/3 the damage it used to pre patch
2). Illusionary leap no longer cripples.
3). Underwater spear attack misses every time.
I have noticed two MAJOR bugs that has me putting my mesmer on the shelf (my main since day one) until its fixed.
iZerker damage has been DRASTICALLY nerfed.
Illusionary leap no longer cripples foes.
I refuse to change my play style… the staff play style is horrible.
THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED ASAP!
Yeah, still has compounding bolts. I was about to flip out if they stealth nerfed its dmg.
They did stealth nerf the damage, compounding bolts or not. My iZerker is hitting no where near as hard as it used to.
I can confirm this, I went and tested it. The dmg is substantially lower. I want answers now.
After going and doing a test, I’m doing substantially less dmg that I did before. iZerker is doing anywhere from 1000-2000 less dmg per hit than it used to. It hits 4 times and if you average that out, that’s 6000 dmg nerf for one ability. This is not acceptable, and makes sense whey my other friend was freaking out the other night saying “my dmg feels likes its been nerfed hard”.

Wait when did they nerf iZerker dmg? >.> I haven’t payed any attention.
The problem I’m having is with the RTL nerf is now most of the attacks in the Air attunement have substantial cool downs. So after one rotation of all my attacks and coming back to Air attunment, everything is still on cool down…
If they had to nerf RTL, at least lower a cool down on another Dagger/dagger ability (with proper adjustments to them).
After hours of observation, I notice that confusion in some form or manner crits.
At times it will hit for X amount and other times hit of 2*X amount. Unless confusion is affected in some other way. Why would it periodically do double the amount of dmg?
I’ve been getting a lot of mixed answers to this question. So here’s my question… Can confusion crit? I’ve been hearing people say “Yes mine does”. Then I read that condition dmg no matter what it is can’t crit.
One of the easiest one’s IMO. I’m a glass cannon Mesmer at lvl 40 and I never down in that fight.
Get some Omnomberry ghost and some maintenance oil to help negate the constant DoT.
