tbh its prob the same reason ALot of SEA guilds have joined BG or JQ in the pass. They didnt wanna feel like they had to carry the load and wanted ppl to play with. If i am remembering correctly WHen merc joined bg, they said the reason they choose them over sor or others was it gave them the best shot at taking down jq and also cause they wouldnt need to carry the load, because they would have other guild in that time slot

This MERC specifically said when they moved to BG that they were tired of carrying SOS and playing overtime but they go and do the same thing on BG.

Whether it’s by overtime play or different tz guilds, coverage is coverage. With BGs massive population combined with their regular overtime play, they have the best coverage of the tier without question. And it’s undeniably powerful.

Yes indeed, very powerful. The fierce tenacity of BG players is well documented on this forum and the countless times they’ve made late week pushes is a testament to their never give up attitude. SOR may have the edge in sheer WvW numbers, and their recent recruitment efforts in EU, however petty and unnecessary, will definitely be a test to those BG insomniacs!

People forget that yesterday July 1st was a Stat Holiday in Canada so EU time had some extra people. We’re going to see the same at the end of the week with July 4th holidays in the US. Unfortunately, the PPT you see now in EU time will be norm.

This is what happens when a server panics after getting destroyed by RG and finishing last after wining for weeks. [KISS], [SONG] and whomever else they recruited will make things difficult in EU time with their PVDooring now with full map zergs.

Keep fighting JQ and BG! Go after those camps and slap those yaks. Who knows, you might be able to divide up the SOR map blobs and come up with some surprising victories!

It’s a shame SOR community tries to justify this. It just shows that it must be used extensively by their other commanders and not just FEAR.

Same thing could be said for SoR… Without IRON they wouldn’t be able to win.

I believe their purchase of IRON is what finally got them a win in T1. It’s funny, after one week of getting wrecked by RG and finishing last they panic and purchase KISS to PVD more in EU with map zergs. It’s too bad RG left JQ. Hopefully some EU will come JQ’s way soon.

Holy PPT, I thought BG said they dont have enough EU coverage? 280+ during EU is quite impressive, if only BG’s NA could keep up with that BG Sea/Oceanic/EU coverage. Might wanna start devouring more guilds BG, its been more then a week since we have heard of new guilds joining the Blackhole.

You do realize that it’s the weekend? People don’t have work/school so can play earlier/later.

What is the ETA on when we can start playing again?

I think as a server we’ve just found out what works for us. We are playing to our strengths and have familiarized ourselves with our opponents and their tendencies and have adapted.

I understand this, but what you end up having is a LOT of well communicated mid-sized guilds moving around (it’s effective, don’t get me wrong.)
But there are people who who unguilded and can’t use TS (I have heard people site lag on their computers part) or won’t due to personal preferences. These people are more or less left in the dark.

I personally appreciate the feedback, and in fact, your post sparked a discussion on our forums on ways we may be able to improve our use of VOIP in a way that works better for the server. Much of what you experienced is very true, and I’d say there are pros and cons to both methods. But maybe we can find a balance that isn’t overly complex and actually hurt communication and effectiveness, but that also does a better job of involving and informing the solo players that are on a map.

Great! The best way to back at me for leaving: by telling me that you are able to take criticism and make it something useful. I hope your whole server makes me regret leaving by becoming a better community than when I left.
