Nooooo! FSV what did you do?!?! The quaggan magics protecting Gandara garrison are strong but unpredicatable, now we all suffer the CTD on your account =P.
New WvW mini game on Gandara, how close can you get to garrison NE outer, current record seems to be 5ft but with training and dedication we reckon one superhuman Gandaran may get close enough to start repairing.
#GanadaraGarrisonSortItOut =P
I suffered from the same problem on one of my characters a few months back and it disappeared eventually, unfortunately it has now reappeared and on another freshly made toon. It is at the stage where I can be involved in a medium sized WvW battle or PvE event on one of these two characters and gameplay is impossible, 30sec + of lag, rubber banding e.t.c, I can then log off in the middle, relog onto one of my other toons, fight a similar sized battle and be entirely problem free bar the normal level of skill lag. Any solutions would be very welcome.

Any EU Grenths open?
by the way I honestly think this sigil isn’t working even at night lol. Conditions don’t seem to affect it. It’s probably a bad sigil to use now that I think about it.
I’m fairly sure its been established in the ShatterCat thread that Force and Night, i.e % damage increases don’t effect conditions.
If you are running low crit chance the best option is just Battle and Battle/Stacks then swap to anything that isn’t on crit or on weapon swap when you hit 25, Force I guess as you’d be using some Carrion to have a low crit chance so you’d have good power.
High crit chance gives your more to play with and you can have 2 different on crit procs for each weapon set. It could be an idea to have one like Earth or Strength on the staff to compliment it (more bleeds or might) as you will be in staff the majority of the time. Then on the off hand you could have a defensive one, lifesteal on crit for instance or a more offensive one such as Air/Fire for a little bit more burst or Chill even to slow people escaping.
Think you probably need to stop posting vids or you’ll get Chaos Armour and/or our core Glamour build traits nerfed. Scpeter just makes the confusion even more ridiculous and with torch as another potential off hand (I use it in arranged 1v1s when not against a Thief) you’ve got even more blind potential, a nice ~2k burn and another way to set up confusing images.
Also props on finding some Baruch players roaming, worth writing home about.
If you are in a true 1v1 against a good player the problem is that they will simply wait out your confusion when you dump it on them and they probably aren’t going to make a telegraphed burst on you because they know you will counter it with a glamour dump. Working out you are fighting a Glamour mesmer is pretty easy, they drop a Glamour on you and you move out and get more stacks, at that point you simply apply constant pressure and stop when they use glamours/confusing images. Confusion works best when you either predict an enemy burst or force the opponent to use skills while under confusion, the later is why the current roaming engineer meta is so strong they have so many ways to pressure you that you that you feel forced to use skills while under Pry Bar/Static shot confusion (see Osicat’s duels with Drakeco).
The problem with Glamour builds is the only time you can make the opponent feel threatened is when in staff for burn/bleed stacking but as you don’t have many staff clones from Deceptive Evasion or stacks from double bounce you can’t put that much pressure on. As soon as you switch to scepter/focus for Confusing Images you stack 5 more confusion but an alert player will simply stop all they are doing and kite, a Rabid geared Mesmer using scepter (an odd power/confusion hybrid as pointed our by Kylia) is doing nothing to force the opponent to panic while having 5+ confusion stacks. This also causes a problem with getting players to burn condi cleanses, you aren’t going to burn one for Confusing Images, you just wait those stacks out while kiting, and if you get a stack from a Glamour dump then you can use your condi cleanse on that and it will almost certainly be back up before your next Glamour dump is ready, unless you are stacking 6+ bleeds from staff and its clones the opponent is going to conserve their cleanse for your Glamour dump.
An answer your question, stay in staff as much as possible when everything is on cooldown and take advantage of Rabid’s high precision by using an on crit bleed sigil (Earth) on it, also use your Glamour fields to keep Chaos Armour up as long as possible it will be a 2/3 chance confusion proc with a Glamour build and remember their utilities as well as their confusion. Opening with a Null Field straight on a Signet of Rage Warrior and wiping his 30+ secs of Fury, Swiftness and 5 Might in the first 3 seconds of the fight is a massive advantage to you. However, as Kylia said try not to have everything on cooldown unless you are dumping to ensure 5+ stacks where the opponent is going to do irreversible damage to themselves. I think these limitations of the glamour build in 1vs1 or 1vsX show how good a player Kylia is, it certainly wouldn’t be my choice for solo roaming, in my opinion the gear you use can be put to better use with a Shatter variant where your high precision synergises with 20 in Dueling for perma Vigor and all Illusions bleeding on crits.
Also can’t belive I forgot this, the podcast is brilliant! Thanks for all the effort you’ve gone to and long may it continue.

Shout out to corpse dancing [GEA] guild on BB for camping the JP on EBG, stay classy guys.
Stay out the JP, stay classy.
I’ve been running this build for the past couple of weeks and its excellent, enjoyable to play and great for WvW roaming. I tried it with Centaur Runes, you mentioned switching to them in one of the videos and they are pretty useful it makes running away from the Baruch “small” camp capping groups much easier.
However, at the moment I’m trying Melandru plus the -40% condition duration food, and so for its rather nice, it reduces our vulnerability to conditions hugely, great for shrugging off slows when escaping and helps make the tanky part of the build a little more tanky.
Thanks for the build and the videos are very informative, especially for any newer Mesmers, the snippy comments in the first few posts are totally uncalled for.
I’m having the same problem on one of my characters, its proving very difficult/impossible to log into WvW maps or Lion’s Arch, where as trying to log into the same WvW map on a different character presents no problems. I have tried both the fixes suggested in this thread and have also removed/reinstalled my game and they don’t seem to have worked. While my system and internet connection are both below average I can’t see how these could be the problem given logging is possible with 7/8 characters but not the final one.

Ummmmmmm… as an Elementalist, I can assure you, you cannot stomp in mist form. The option doesn’t even come up. You can’t do anything but move and jump. Given the number of times I’ve been stealth stomped, I wish it were otherwise.
Don’t you start the stomp and then use the mist form utility? That way, as with all other utilities you continue the stomp action but are invulnerable. This works on the basis that generally everyone waits til the last moment to use their interupt so as to reduce their 3 skill cool down so you will not be interrupted between the start of the stomp and you hitting mist form utility.
As for the OP there are many many things that need to be fixed in WvW frankly this one isn’t one. If you are 1v1 then you are going to die if you hit downed form and your opponent is no where near it, invulnerable stomping or not is irrelevant.
If you are with allies then if res’ing you is important enough then they should devote their efforts towards it and stop a stomp. AOE push/pulls, blinds and CC will deal with most stomps, as far as I’m aware. That leaves you with classes using proper invulnerability skills, Mesmer shatter 4, Mist Form or the engineer elixir (S I think? The shrinking one), one would suggest that a “free stomp” is probably a reasonable exchange for blowing a full on invulnerability cool down, especially in the middle of a zerg fight. Plus none of these prevent people res’ing before the stomp completes.

And I’ve witnessed plenty of Abaddon’s Mouth and Drakkar Lake players doing that as well. I’d imagine everyone on the boards could post exactly the same thing just with different names. It sucks but hey we aren’t WvW’ing for the loot are we? At least if they are in the downed state you’ve bested them in a fight. An AM logged off on me this morning as I jumped him trying to gank a fellow Gandaran who was doing a bit of cloud watching.
The patch to end all patches.
