Has anyone used the new jatoros armor yet? Vitality, toughness and condition damage?

We had a great turnout at fight club. Yarr did good representing FC. I had alot of good duels with yall. DR was repped by Tron, Ohai and myself being PPOL. I was a little dissapointed AR didn’t join in the fun. What’s up with that?

Can we please have 2 sigils on two handed weapons?

I would like to propose an ingame change. Once per month or 1 time per week lets have some totally crazy changes. I would like people to post suggestions. a really funny suggestion I read awhile back was the ability to load mesmers into catapults in wvw and be able to shoot them into enemy keeps. How about opening up dungoens in pve land to 30 or so players on the same run? Or have 1 day when pve is open to player killers? Make it so spawn areas are the only safe grounds. I know this may rile folk up but remember it’s just a 1 day free for all. make it so all non soul bound items in a players pack will drop to be looted. How about a topsy turvy day when every class gets random abilities of another class? The ideas are boundless. Maybe give us mounting capabilities. make it so an asura can ride on top of a charr? your at the mercy of the guy on bottom but can use your abilities too.

Arm, are you the sylvari DD Ele that uses the flying fire elemental? I think I dueled you in fight club and lost twice. I’m Lil Kin Zen of (BRL). I was testing out different builds. I would like to practice with you again.

I upped my toughness and vitality at the loss of some power and crit damage. 1600 toughness just isn’t enough though. I would like to see your build nuka if you don’t mind. Are you using phantasmal fury? I always try to get 53 to 56% crit change so all my attacks crit. That requires alot of precision. If i sacrificed that my main and word wouldn’t do as much damage when using blurred frenzy.

EDIT. I meant to say I want to be able to use shatter for distortion or daze but I don’t spawn phantasms fast enough.

Well it was worth a try :P . It’s not 1v1s that bother me it’s getting attacked by multiples. Stealthing to recover position and reengage but getting shot in the back and not being able to dodge from lack of endurance sucks. By the way I do use superior sigils of energy on both off hand weapons.

Still being shot by guns or arrows while being invisible? Once an auto attack is initiated a person can still take damage while hidden. Can we make it so all attacks miss while invisible?

I have conflict of play sometimes. I don’t want to shatter to evade or distort to get away but because I lose my phantasms and without 25 in illusions I can’t pump em out fast enough. This is a big problem when facing opponents that just wade through your clones and phantasms like they’re wisps of air( you don’t see this with a rangers pets or a necros minions). When a guard or warrior just spins through your illusions picks up a few conditions your left SOL and on the ropes till cool downs refresh. My other conflict is wanting a diverse build with strong phantasms but ability to spawn quick. We don’t have enough trait points to go around. I want clone on dodge, I want phantasmal strength and I want empowered illusions. I want that build diversity that allows me to stand toe to toe with all builds. I don’t like that every build has it’s bane issue. Maybe it’s just my play that needs improvement. I have gone through so many builds with Mesmer. I start feeling like I’m doing so well then bam I’m staked on the grass thinking what the kitten just happened. So I start trying out other build configurations.

I have read that it’s bad to click skills. An extreme time difference. Really though in a phantasm build where they do the majority of damage for you how is clicking bad? I do a combination of both clicking and mouse/ key binding play. Anticipating an attack I can hold my cursor over a block skill. Doesn’t seem to be detrimental to me as I can still move or strafe. shatters on key bind. I don’t use a controller or a keyboard with the ability to key bind multiple skills.

I often find myself being able to 1vX low to medium ability players but when I come up against 2 good players I get rofl stomped pretty fast. I’m running with 1300 tough, 103% crit damage, over 2k power after bloodlust stacks with enough precision to make everything crit. I switch up a bit but mostly run either sword sword/ staff or scepter sword/ sword pistol. Phantasm build. blink, decoy, arcane transfer with MI.

When we are trapped by binding roots and use blink to get out You stay stuck in place where you land. I have also noticed using blink to get out of an engineers glue produces the same results.

Has anyone noticed that our blink utility send us to the chosen location but you remain stuck in place? I have also experienced the same problem with decoy.

Actually you can make 3 full shatter in like 3 secs if for any reason you wanted to.

Can you explain this part? Would this be a 3 clone shatter 3 times or a full 3 clone 3 phantasm shatter 3 times in 3 seconds. Or some other combination?

I’m glad you told me about illusion celerity not stacking with a 33% speed boon. I was going to try it. Also on the orrian truffle meat stew, It increases endurance refill but so does vigor. Are you saying one will cancel the other out? I always thought you retained the increase from both the food and the vigor. Like a stack although separate.

So instead of sounding all kitten soft and QQin I decided to break down what I saw.
Sword/Sword

Blink, decoy, mirror images.
Thought about it long and hard. Did see speed boon, vigor boon and at least 2 others.

I imagine he had sigils of energy for both swaps.
I noticed the usual food and other consumable. Didn’t look to see which they were.
With as often as I saw him dodge I imagine his food to be orrian truffle and meat stew. might on dodge and plus 40 to endurance refill rate. This conbined with his vigor could create close to perma evasion.

My question on the speed though. His rate of execution far exceeded what i’m used to seeing. He could gain speed on heal with the centaur or air.Could the speed on heal grant 33% speed boon then also be combined with the trait compounding celerity? Does the speed boon stack with the compounding celerity? That could possibly explain his speed. His rate of execution though still befuddles me. Creating all his clones and phantasms so fast without what seemed like any cool down time. I know you can trait for sword and staff specific traits plus take illusionist celerity and phantasms recharge 20 % faster. All this creates a very fast turnover I think its like 13 second cooldowns or something. But I wasn’t seeing that. I stood back at one point to watch him work my team over. His play style was close to another charr Mesmer I’ve fought who people called waffles. But much faster. I have 2 other issues. How was this guy hitting s hard and also being so bunker at the same time?

Last night I was part of a 4 man team trying to kill 1 mesmer. I myself play a mesmer and have for many months now. We fought a shatter mesmer. This guy could have all clones and phantasms up in like 1 or 2 seconds shatter and repeat seemingly with no cool down. His speed seemed unreal. Everything I saw him use I could also use. Dodge on roll, mirror, invis leave clone. But the speed! usually when I cast a phantasm there is cast time. he deffinantly had perma speed but I did not notice a speed shoe buff.

It would also be nice if phantasms and clones would switch targets if you switched target. Which would go along with the whole always up till shattered or killed topic.

I’ve been playing a Mesmer for a few months now. I would like to suggest anet makes a change to phantasms and clones. When our target dies all our clones and phantasms die. I would like them to be permanent like a necros minions and a ranger pets. Permanent till shattered or killed.

when they can down a player in 1 to 3 hits?
People complained about retaliation and confusion until they were nerfed, people are complaining about stealth now, I ask why when you can still almost 1 hit down a player when running a glass thief. Seems to me thieves are over powered. Don’t get me wrong, I have a thief , mesmer and necro, Nither the necro or mesmer can down a player in so few hits.

I agree. Once a necro enters battle you are commited.

My build tends to burn most thieves down. The ones that get me wait for the cherry pick or a well coordinated team of thieves own me when they keep me feared. I have a lvl 62 thief and can’t seem to get into the play style. My necro is my main love.

Almost forgot. I noticed you spiking in plague form. I did not know we could do that! Can’t wait to try.

Leeto man….That’s some strong play. I’m a wvw crit power wellomancer. I do major damage but tend to get burnt down when focused on. I liked your survivability. Are you runnin PVT with your condition spec?

Hey all. When I first started playing I did little research into character creation regarding race. I was led to believe that race didn’t affect skills. Having played and researched I find that to be wrong. I would love to be able to purchase a race change.
