Various suggestions to implement weapon swap have been suggested in the past. Being limited to a single weapon and using the attunement system to switch abilities is what makes the elementalist so unique; I’m really not in favor in taking that away. It also opens up a plethora of balance concerns, even if it were limited to only two attunements like you suggested.
Since it wasn’t seen on the stream, I had a question about how Nevermore interacts with the elementalist. Does it turn all 4 auto-attacks into the same raven projectile? My biggest disappointment with Bifrost is that it turns them all into the same dinky rainbow bolt when they’re normally all unique.
I’ll probably still try and make it regardless, but I’m really hoping the projectiles aren’t all the same.
Has anet forget about underwater, or just ignoring its existence?
They work underwater just fine so… neither I guess?
Everyone that has done fractals for a while knows that if you die during Mai Trin you can relog and Ellen Kiel will res you and you can walk to a certain spot to get back into the fight. It’s a bug that has been a part of this fractal since I can remember and it NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
I got kicked from a party just now for NOT RELOGGING FAST ENOUGH. One or two people went down and I died so I relogged to get back in and when I got back into the fractal a vote kick was called and I was kicked from the party. When I messaged one of the people in the party he said I was “a useless kitten who didn’t know how to relog.” So now this bug has gone from something that people use to make the fight easier to something that people think is required to beat the encounter and are actually kicking people who don’t relog or even just those who don’t relog fast enough.
Just PLEASE fix it. It sucks so much to get to the final fight in a full set of fractals and get kicked before getting the final loot.
No offense but, without this glitch, most people wouldn’t bother doing fractals lvl 50 because Mai Trin is a terrible fight (the cannon phase that is), it’s either this or having a thief with stealth or get out…
Good. If players are too bad to stay alive in the Mai Trin fight, then they shouldn’t be doing level 50 fractals. I’d rather play with people who have learned the simple task of not standing in cannon fire.
To be fair, “new legendary weapons” was never promised to be in the expansion by any of the trailers; just precursor crafting. Which is going to be present at launch.
The fact that raids are 3 weeks after launch is a great thing, and here’s why:
1. Allows us to finish the HoT story without the raid storyline spoiling it.
2. Gives Anet some time to fix any obvious balance issues that rise up from the new elite specs. If something like the Symbolic Avenger glitch pops up, Anet will want to squash it before people abuse it to finish raids.
And hey, maybe the new raids have stuff required for the new legendary weapons. Then it would make sense that they’re slightly delayed.

Is the intention to deincentivize dungeons
Yes
This is refreshingly direct.
Honestly, I’d rather just see condition duration (positive and negative) foods be completely removed or changed. They’re such a massive bonus that taking either is borderline mandatory in WvW, while at the same time making condition damage builds having access to waaaaay better food buffs than power builds in PvE.
Didn’t Anet state we’d be getting ascended boxes for this week? Specifically for that reason I didn’t bother putting anything in the bank ahead of time.
Here are my thoughts. I’m mostly a PvE player. I like it a lot better than its first version, but it could still use quite a few improvements.
Overloads:
I like them all, actually. They’ve gotten a lot better since the first iteration, and I love how we can actually dodge in them (even though it cancels the channel). They also seem to stunbreak which is awesome.
Shouts:
Flash Freeze and Aftershock should have no cast time. That allows them to work pretty nice with the overloads.
Eye of the Storm – Superspeed is kind of lame. I don’t think shock aura would make it too strong.
Aftershock – Cooldown is way too long. Maybe 40 seconds would be better.
Rebound – Base healing and scaling could be a bit higher. Kind of lowish right now.
Wash the Pain Way – The healing scaling seems kind of low.
Traits
Speedy Conduit – Seems all right for a minor
Hardy Conduit – At the very least, it should give 4 seconds of protection to match the cast time.
Gale Song – Would be better if Eye of the Storm were improved (see above)
Latent Stamina – Seems decent.
Unstable Conduit – Would be a lot more usable if the aura was at the start of the overload.
Earthen Proxy – Hard to get enough uptime on this. Maybe it should also increase the duration of protection as well.
Harmonious Conduit – Way better now! Love it.
Tempestuous Aria – Could use 20% CD reduction on shouts
Elemental Bastion – Healing could be improved. The Frost aura effect is too similar to Soothing Ice in Water. Maybe instead have it grant a damage bonus while an aura is active.
Imbued Melodies – I like it for a support tempest. Not bad.
Lucid Singularity – Not a huge fan of this one, even in PvE it seems kind of limited. Maybe instead it could affect the damage or radius of overloads? Not too sure.
Weapon Skills
Heat Sync – Probably shouldn’t copy quickness. If it’s still being abused, maybe swap its cooldown with Wildfire (it could use a bit more uptime).
Water Globe – Way too awkward to use. Maybe just have it follow the tempest around similar to Berserker torch 5? Could maybe also use some better healing power scaling.
On a side note, could you maybe rebalance auras, or make them a little more interesting? In PvE especially most of them just aren’t that useful.
Thanks for looking at our feedback!
