They’ll rename it before it launches just to keep us on our toes in the future. The QS will mean nothing.

So my dumb survey question is, are any of you running a certain build (even in wvw) just because you have weapon skins that looks cooler/prettier? :P haha

with transmutation stones, gear can look any way you want it. so i fail to see how this could be an issue

He’s probably talking about replacing the weapon type entirely. You can’t transmute a staff to have a greatsword skin.

I’ve noticed lately that when I face a boss that creates adds, my Phantasms won’t attack them. They just stand there. This drastically reduces my damage output. I’ve noticed it happen with Giganticus Lupicus’s grubs, Bloomhunger’s spirits, and a couple other similar situations whose specifics I can’t remember. It is, however, very prohibitive. Anyone else noticing this issue?

Suggestion for stealth

I vote on removing stealth entirely, giving thieves an “evasion” state similar to the one mesmer shatter ability in the place of all stealth skills. It’s stupid to have a “counter” be to blindly spam aoe effects randomly in the area you think they are or target where you think they might be going to.

Can’t remove stealth for some dumb reason? Then add in the ability to see through it to some utilities/traits/whatever spread across a few classes. I’m glad they finally removed stealth captures from WvW but I’ve seen other abuses of the ability to quickly recap towers/etc with a group of stealthed thieves abusing the mechanic on the moronic NPC guards.

Especially if they do nerf AOE like they hinted at, the only sort of “counter” to stealth currently, they will need to do something to help out against an ability that has no purpose but to kitten off other players, or abuse dungeon mechanics (I care less about that, but still not terribly fond of 1-2 classes being able to skip content easily over others).

I think these are both pretty smart suggestions.

So, you call them a kitten class but they’re OP? Consistency, where are you.

Having the JP adds an adventurous PvE element to WvW, luring in players who normally aren’t into pvp content (like me!). Personally, the JP in EB made me engage in WvW a bit and even check out and enjoy sPvP because of how meeting foes in the JP often forces you to duel. It’s another measure to keep the game from feeling fragmented into PvP/WvW/PvE. Most of what you get from that chest is badges and siege equipment, anyway. If you’re farming it for badges to get your Gift of Battle – well, it’s a Gift of BATTLE. Gonna have to battle for it.

I did NOT give up the challenge and I beat it. 3 times. Some of you are awesome at pvp, some at playing the TP – I love jumping puzzles, and I enjoy challenges like this.

I didn’t know the cost was significantly lowered after buying the Grandmaster’s Training Manual. That’s much better, and less dautning than the 2g. I still feel that that should be free – you’re modding your own character’s attributes and not using any in-game resources. It’s different from buying runes, armor and weapons, and from using public transit (Waypoints). I think re-speccing should be free.

In Guild Wars, I always liked to play around with my builds and find something new that I enjoyed. I had so many different builds saved it got ridiculous. Because it costs a significant sum of money (for the 99% in gamer world – we’re not all pro farmers) to respec, I can’t really do that. I had to save up, even at level 80, to buy the one Grandmaster’s Training Manual I’ve used so far. I’m already getting a little tired of my build, and I’d like to try something new (and go back to my old!) without having to pay for it. I feel that the current system somewhat discourages players from exercising the class flexibility that was the crown jewel of Guild Wars 2’s marketing campaign.
On the GW1 wiki, I read how at one point attribute reallocation had to be earned and that this functionality was removed. Eventually we also were given the wonderful ability to save builds. It was truly integral in keeping the game, which I played quite a bit for 6 years, from feeling stale. Can we hope to see a similar pattern with Traits?
