I’m still pretty new to GW2 and I don’t know enough to criticize anyone’s commanding style. I will say this though – as a pug who basically hadn’t played any video games since college 10 years ago, I appreciated the fact that Zero was kind enough to help the newer players get their bearing and didn’t kitten talk us on mumble. I learned a lot about the game, never felt stupid asking a question, and I’ve become a more active member of the community because he made me feel welcome. So thank you for that Zero. Most of the newer players you helped probably aren’t on the forums but I speak for a lot of them when I say best of luck.

Since I knew well that Maguuma would win each week I focused more on teaching the pugs how to fight in the open field. Regarding the golems, I dont really like to golem rush except on rare occasions, the situation you are referring to was Xushin asking me to do that and build suicidal golems so that I could create a diversion at red keep (it was a push intended to fail so that Xushin could push the northmost double gates).

-I spent more time educating the pugs than anyone else ever did. None of you spend the time with them. I educated every Eternal mumble player and i typed in chat until suppressed constantly, I also would have them all organize before we even started playing to show them the importance of coordination/organization.

Thats the problem with you guilds, you only engage with your players internally, me and Xushin were the only ones who would work with the pugs and get in public mumbles, Xushin more for karma train, me more for tactics and training.

-Actually the most PPT is in Eternal so if youre so pro then youd focus EBG with at least one of the main guilds. Its not filled with ignorance either, it takes more cooperation, flexibility, and communication to work with new pugs who join the mumble and the mixture of guild-based players who go to Eternal mumble.

It doesn’t seem that you’ve been as eager to post on threads as you have been against your own former team mates. I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove to anyone in Maguuma but it’s clearly not working. I personally couldn’t care any more or less about the tactics you used but you’ve got a serious attitude problem. It’s fine that you can come in here and act as noble as you do but I hope you don’t treat Kaineng players like you did some Maguuma players. While I understand some kitten talking is part of the atmosphere, I can recount dozens of times on mumble where you talked kitten on your teammates/other commanders and acted like being an EB commander was an act of self sacrifice. I’ve scouted for you a few times but you never saw me harping on incessantly and publicly and bad mouthing everyone else over a job others didn’t want to do.

You can’t complain about how people choose to play in WvW. If you want to train a bunch of pubbies in EB, then go right ahead and do it.

I hope the next time (if) you leave a guild and a server, you do it more gracefully.

I didnt start this… I left on my own accord for my own reasons, this blew up because people in Maguuma wanted to make a stupid argument out of it, i wished people the best and said good bye.

It’s quite interesting that the past 2-3 pages are essentially a silly argument about which server has the highest numbers, with people using that as an excuse for poor performance. There is probably a very simple way to verify numbers but it’s hardly relevant. Winners don’t make excuses, only losers do. I know it’s very appealing to claim that you only lost because the other side had a bigger zerg. This said, all you’re doing is implying that you have no control over the outcome of the battle: you’re giving up.

Speaking of morale and fighting spirit, Yak’s Bend is doing really well right now!

Agreed, but wins to losses, we won last night so GG. And saying well we didnt have numbers cause we moved karma train.. tell them to actually play the game and get some skill, having a high wvw rank means nothing if theres no skill behind it..

I hate to chip in, but telling people to get some skill while you run with a guild zerg against pugs while mashing w+1 isn’t what I would call skill.

There was guild zergs in mag too.. also, PvDoor isnt skill either (karma trainers).

Um, yeah. That’s called getting enemies to chase, letting foolish players over extend, and then punishing said players. This whittles down your numbers until we can engage you properly. This is a common tactic to use when outnumbered. Check out my next post!

But we didnt over extend, and Tsarazi blew up the PM’s on me cause we wouldnt engage him at the overly sieged SM. You guys didnt punish us at all. Also in case you thought we were actually trying to capture things, we weren’t we just wanted open field battles with no siege advantages/influence.

You clearly don’t know how it works. People likely to be punished are pubs. Saying we didn’t do so is saying we didn’t kill anyone. Please stop. No one thinks you were trying to capture things.

I frequently see people boasting about wiping Maguuma in Eternal, which is fine, because nobody really goes into eternal for organized guild raids. Most of the people in eternal are goofing around or karma training (at least on mag.)

But IF you want to anger Maguuma/ actually boast about wiping Maguuma, you’ll have to do it in a borderland. Otherwise it’s easy for us to shrug off the fact that you were in EB, where we have very little coordination.

We have little to no coordination in EB because your guild (and many others) run from it as if it was the plague. Who do you think is going to pick up the slack in EB now that Zero is gone?

My guess is no one.

That is a problem the whole server needs to work towards fixing.

People like playing on Mag because we don’t tell people where to go and get real rigid about it, and we aren’t going to start now. If people dislike the map, which is a pretty common thing, then they shouldn’t play it.

Where do you guys get your information from, everything you say regarding Eternal is so backwards it cracks me up. Eternal is the most qued map of all four every night.. and it stays qued when I was on there for hours so calling it a common thing when you guys called me for backup (not the other way around) cause you needed more man power is a complete fallacy.

I like how you never nerved up to actually try SMC. We have actual head counts from a few times throughout the fight. We weren’t running with a pub magnet icon on so we weren’t actively building numbers. We went from between 21 to 30 people according to supply info. When the numbers were at their highest I hopped out of the fight onto a mortar for the open field treb at the keep choke and the field arrow carts you guys attempted. So yeah nice job not even scratching a gate as you got tied up! I’m not saying you didn’t pressure but there was no attrition or initiative.

Our goal was to farm you, not take points… It worked watch the video. If you arent running with an icon thats your choice but dont complain about low numbers as a result, there usually 30 or more people in Eternal during NA primetime in the public channel (at least when I was there..), take advantage of it.. You guys dont engage the community you rely solely on your guild, thats a flaw

It was fun fighting with you when you were on Maguuma, Zero. I always liked the way you stayed (mostly) calm and were able to take basically anyone who was willing to follow you and make an effective fighting force. Herding cats isn’t the easiest of jobs but you excel at it.

Im going to bring some clarity to what happened last night and debuff all the fallacies.. I hope you enjoy this video, this is actually what happened last night, and its more accurate than a misleading picture… remember what they said earlier… “we only had 30 people (including pugs)-Tsarazi, please determine for yourself.” I had a great time leading [RE] last night and I hope that we can ZvZ more often, I could careless about whether you wanted me to leave Maguuma or stay, there were many people who did like me and believe the server will suffer without me in Eternal. To all my new [RE] guildmates thanks for letting me lead, I hope you liked that group build we tried all last night, I would say it did quite well. On another note, telling me that Eternal wouldnt be que’d in Mag during NA primetime is the craziest thing I have ever heard, I was there every night for 4.5 months. By the way, when you say you’re “Zerg busting” it typically means you’re busting a zerg with a small group. It doesn’t usually mean “trying to run over a force half your size and running away a lot”. You may want to check your definitions.

No, this isn’t a matter of differences in personal definitions. You simply do no know what zerg busting means. When a term is coined, there is a general idea of the definition. And if you think the answer to being wrong about something is simply to say “I’m right”, then you’re closing yourself off from growing and learning and I have so much pity for you.

As someone who’s run around in groups of 5-10, wiping groups more than five to six times our size, I am deeply insulted by the misuse of a word created by the internet. SO DEEPLY!

Running from Durios when we have 20 people inside and you have 50+ is pretty funny. I guess no Kaineng mesmers know how portals work. Don’t ask Zero how to do them though, most of the ones he tried while on Maguuma ended up being loot piñatas. Or alternatively, abandoning 4 catas at Klovan when 20 of us run inside so you can go try to take Durios instead is also pretty exciting. That’s some Sun Tzu tier stuff right there. If your zerg could do something more than run or stand in place and blast might your server might be doing more than putting a tiny scratch in the overall PPT.

We had over 20 people and 1 mesmer… why would I portal into durios? Please tell me! Oh wait I wouldnt. Its easy to say what you want behind the computer but you went out of your way to come to Eternal tonight, somewhere you never go, and overall, you lost.

Regarding durios, we got the capture so its a win for us, we used your camp supply to cata your tower so we really dont have hurt feelings over not capturing it, its called pulling aggro.. and we did it effectively. Point is you had to give up something and you made your choice.

By the way, when you say you’re “Zerg busting” it typically means you’re busting a zerg with a small group. It doesn’t usually mean “trying to run over a force half your size and running away a lot”. You may want to check your definitions.

Pictures dont always tell the whole story, youre the commander, so most of your guys were generally behind you, I am going to assume this holds true for the picture you posted.. unless you show me a video of at least 3 fights we had I wont believe you, we have a copy of the fights tonight so if we are able to post it we can let that be the judge..

Your definition and mine can be different, theres not a GW2 dictionary out there so I can call it whatever I want… point is, we got on to open field battle, not take objectives.. and we won more than we lost so it was a good night

I saw no numbers advantage for either side, mostly I saw you attempting to draw us towards your siege in SM which we werent going to fall for, we tried to fight you in the open field but you always ran backwards. We only ran backwards to stay out of siege range..

Oh come on, it couldn’t have been that funny for you, you got annihilated over and over there, RAM/CL wouldn’t even engage us they just stacked buffs in anzalias and hoped we would be baited into AC range, considering we only pressured anzalias to pull aggro on you so we could get some ZvZ and loot bags. You guys got wiped every time and eventually you turtled in SM and watched us run back and forth between kainengs section. The few times you came it was a loot bag farm for us. Even so, you should fight us more in the open field! That’s what I play in EBG for! Still, I like the RAM/CL guilds and how they play. I’d say your main success was holding down SM as long as you did (although we took it back), the times we lost towers were because we hopped BL’s to assist other Maguumy Bears

You had the numbers.. They were just all turtling in ANZ. At one point, in SM, you outnumbered Kain and us both 2:1 when our servers had around 50 players in each Zerg. I also tried to get you to fight us in front of Kain’s keep but you lost once and then just watched us from SM.

Yeah that was us we eventually jumped off and took umber + durios. The only time we were heavily outnumbered by both Kain & Yaks was when we dropped all those arrow carts behind the south west gate (inner SM) which to you in Kain may have seemed like a troll move but we bunkered down so we could enter that gate if you guys got wiped but unfortunately you guys sat on top of that inner gate forever.. So we started taking Dane, QL, Durios, Umber again.

Earlier tonight, Mag rushed in with like 60 people in to Bay in YBBL. Unbeknownst to them we has around 3 Sup carts and 3 sup ballistas aimed at the choke. There were like 40 bodies there. Never got so much loot in under 20 seconds.

Yes that was unfortunate, we told our puggies not to rush in but so many did cause of their tunnel vision the few of us outside had to commit, I was pretty kitten .. And we told them thats what happens when you rush in and make everyone commit to the attack. Definitely took an arrow to the knee there :/

First, I usually do not reply or feed into the trolling of this thread. However, I will just join in and have fun feeding the troll. Last night, RAM/CL took on the Mag Zerg at Anz. Two times Mag decided to take the camp then build trebs, which shows that with AC being OP tactics are changing. RAM/CL attacked from the camp side with a force of about 20. They were really out numbered. Yes, they lost most of their force but were able to take at least some of trebs down. They recalled and came back to take the rest down with a Yaks Zerg helping, that was the first encounter.

The second encounter was much easier. Mag took the camp built 5 trebs. Ram/CL
decided a new tactic they built 1 treb and took out Mag’s 5 trebs with ease and of course Mag quickly ran after their trebs went down.

Now a quick look at the numbers, RAM/CL had around 20 ppl. Mag built 5 trebs which would mean they had at least 50 ppl just for the supply needed to build the trebs. I know the numbers could be a little lower if ppl were carrying more then 10 supply. However, on the first attempt RAM/CL failed on the first attack. So learning from, their first failure, they built a treb and stayed at a distance and took out 5 trebs with zero loss of ppl.

I would say RAM/CL learned to adapt to the battle field and won. I guess if you are talking smack about RAM/CL not wanting to attack a larger force with brute strength but instead use intelligence and tactics to accomplish the same task. RAM/CL will always beat you in long run MomentofWeakness.

So, yes you wiped most of them the first time at Anz, but you gave us a lot of bags in the battles in SM and outside of SM. My only request is that you do not run with your tail between your legs when you get your Zerg butt handed to you next time, then come back after most of RAM/CL log for the night.

I salute you Momentof Weakness, Mag, and Kain may we meet on the field and have fun again owning each other. I have enjoyed the matches a lot more then the weeks with the SEA DB Zerg.

Sure, it’s true that you got the trebs but I used them to keep the pugs back away from the multiple AC’s you had at ANZ, again, the point was to draw you out to ZvZ, sure you may have killed our siege, but it was never a critical component to going to ANZ. In SM you also had a lot of AC’s at every gate. I wanted some open field battles so I did what I could to merc you with the mag krew. Sure SM was rough but without your siege, mainly arrow carts you were nothing last night. And no I like RAM/CL, just wish their server would have backed then up for ZvZ in the open field, but they are the only ones who won’t turtle behind an arrow cart… Also, while RAM/CL was 30 strong, you guys all jumped out of tower and assisted, in the end you got wiped both times, mission accomplished. I’m not going to fight you where you have an unnecessary advantage. When we did push SM, we had just hopped back to EB from another BL, I had the smallest Zerg on the map at that point, we only headed to SM to try and ninja it if you happened to be out of position.

That’s cause KN has a higher number of ppl with jobs, school, etc. A lot of us have RL stuff through the week. Though, I do know we have some putting in a lot of WvW time just to keep green in our BL or EB.

Every time someone posts this argument it blows my mind at how stupid it is. What horrid logic.

KN and YB lose after the weekend because their weekend warriors go back to PvE. Plain and simple. Mag’s WvW population stays the same throughout the week. ME, D|ERP, WaR, DFND, PYRO, NOVA, etc… all field similar numbers each and every day of the week. We don’t have an inflated weekend presence, and we don’t really have that many fairweathers. That’s why we always lose on the weekends and pull ahead during the week.

This is true, we just have more guilds dedicated to WvW it seems than YB or KN, plain and simple. The other theories for why KN and YB fall behind simply dont add up, and are not easily measured or identified.

We know we have a decreased playerbase that seems to have lost morale, weekends or during the week. Some of KN’s WvW guilds are very well aware that we need to stay up late hours of the night when we can to take a nice lead. Trust me, those of us NA guilds arent putting in this extra time for fun, we are very well aware of our servers’ situation. We lack coverage all around the clock, we just work hard and long hours when we can, becuase the Yaks and Mags outnumber us. Not neccasarily outmanned, but KN does seem to have a T4 playerbase performing like T2.

An example was lastnight in EB, both Yaks and Mags who were in EB know what im talking about lol.

Respectfully, I have to disagree, when commanders make bad decisions and dont listen to vital information it makes us look bad. I was roaming last night for fun and let others command, I was pretty kitten off by the end of the night when we lost everything.. I just logged off, not because of some overwhelming KN zerg, but rather because of illogical decision making in EBG.

The best experience and fighting I get in Eternal Battlegrounds is from your Guild hands down. Hmm thought you guys had an elementalist who was high ranking and had a commander icon. Maybe it’s a YB person. Pugs don’t lead by example, they run in fear. Do what you can do with what you can rely on.

lol this is a huge misconception that we always get regarding how many RE there are. During prime time we only have 20-30 RE players on, the rest are our servers militia. Many are new recruits we are trying to train up as well, I can admit that we are not as strong as we were during T2, due to people transferring out, quitting, ext. But we are building each day and hopefully we can bring good fights to WvW.

We weren’t engaging the grub, I was using that as a reference point for people to remember where the fight was near… do you really think i give two kittens about a grub?

To the [RAM] and [CL] Guilds of Yaks Bend. I also want to say that you are my second favorite opponent in Eternal Battlegrounds. We had an epic 10-15 minute battle last night at umberglade camp, I was so stoked when we held it (since it was fully upgraded) haha it was the best victory in weeks! You guys also do really good things with your zergs, even splitting them sometimes to do dual-pronged attacks. Very nice play I hope we can have more battles with the same intensity down the road, or join Maguuma so I have more Eternal Battlegrounds-based guilds to work with and wreck others with. On a side note, yesterdays exchanges versus you were more lopsided in our favor, it was very funny how you guys sat on that rock between umber and bravost expecting me to attack. I just ran my zerg back and forth and you guys sat there for at least 10 minutes watching. It seems that after you guys lost battle after battle you eventually all booked it out of Eternal Battlegrounds because it immediately became outmanned. I wish you would have stayed just for the epic fights. Nice job catching us off-guard at Mendons I asked for a scout, turned around and was like “INC!!!” but there wasnt time for my pugs to move, so it was an inevitable loss (but I did survive, yay). I hope you stick around longer next time just for the fun we could have in even more Zerg verus Zerg battles. Take care!

Final thoughts, great jobs [RE], [RAM], and [CL] Guilds you’re my favorite to battle. Stop bashing your own community those of you who speak for Eternal Battlegrounds but are never in it… and stop with this arrow cart nonsense we all use them! But seriously East Keep was near impossible to take yesterday.

Edit: I will admit though that the eb ‘puggies’ have come a long way since I was last in there which was months. I was quite impressed at the number of people on mumble in the eb channel even late at night and at the ability for the eb people to actually listen and stay with the commander instead of seeing something shiny in the distance and leaving the commander to check it out leaving you with just that much less for when you actually need them all. I retract my statements about eb being full of puggies but that still doesnt mean im going back to eb full time any time soon :p. send those trained eb guys to our bl and take some more puggies to train zero lol

Haha c’mon Jay you love me bro. I know you’ll never rejoin me in Eternal Battlegrounds but I understand, everyone likes their own slice of WvW more than others. I do think that the hard works definitely been paying off, ask [WäR]Warlegend Lu Bu about some of the fights you missed, he will second the coordination and improvements.
