The game update will arrive at sometime today, Pacific Time (which is the time zone in which our development studio is based). We do not have a specific time at which it will go live.
The first event which will occur at a specific time will happen tomorrow, December 15, per the schedule on the website.
Remember: you will have until January 3 to enjoy the content.
That is incredibly condescending to international players.
The original schedule did not state that today would be PST. If that however is the decision that has been made, why has it taken until 8pm GMT to inform us of this.
Anet is based in PST timezone, and have ALWAYS used PST for their events. Why would you think this event would be any different?
If you go by your logic, then Wintersday should have started yesterday as its already Saturday morning in Australia.
It’s not condescending to international players, it is however arrogant to expect the world to revolve around your time zone because its more convenient to you.
I am GMT time zone, the event will be here when its here. QQing on the forum won’t speed up the process.

Ragged on by his (or her) own server. Priceless.
The problem is people that hack/ exploit aren’t looked at as individuals, as demonstrated already in this thread by being referred to as an ‘SBI’ player. SBI doesn’t want to be associated with hackers or exploiters anymore than SoS or JQ do. I would imagine servers in the other tiers feel likewise.
It only takes a minority to give a bad reputation to the entire server.
AT 1530 gmt yesterday (0730 pst / 1030 est) 17 of the 24 servers were full. I think you just caught it at a quiet time.
I think they changed the maximum allowed people on main server in lion arch. Today theres no overflow over 2 hours earlier than normal.
Now that you mention that, I park all my chars in LA and every time I have logged one in I have gone straight into the main channel, I haven’t seen an overflow channel all day … which is unusual for SBI.
Bad idea. All I have to say.
Have to agree with this. It would take the element of surprise out of WvW completely. You wouldn’t be able to ninja a gate by avoiding putting swords on the map, there would be no sudden calls for help and a need to rush to a tower/ keeps aid because you could just look at the map and see where the enemy are and where they are going.
Repelled an enemy from Bay or Hills? No need for a mesmer sweep, just look at the map to see where they are hiding.
It would take all the fun out of WvW.
Just had a SBI player from [HAHA] hack into the south east tower on SOS BL. Yes the image doesn’t prove anything, but i saw him fall from the sky.
I didn’t fall from the sky…….
I was inside long before they started attacking. You’re blind; you LET me spend 4mins killing the boss, right in front of you. No wonder you think I fell from the sky. I have video footage of all of it, I’ll probably be uploading it along with other clips in my next vid.
EDIT: LOL @ you using 1h sword as a guard in PvP. No wonder you got wrecked 1v2, after i let you both dps me for 2mins while I fixed the gate.
Yesterday when a few of us ninja’d a tower with a golum, we were the first ones through the gate and we went from the gate straight up the ramp to the lord, yet by the time we were half way up the ramp you had already killed the lord.
At no time did you pass us so if you didn’t hack into the tower how were you attacking the lord at the same time we destroyed the gate?
If you are hacking or exploiting you are just tarnishing the rest of us with the same brush purely by association.
Over flow is only accessible on your server if the main channel is full. Tbh I don’t know why they just didn’t stick with the district idea from GW1 that allowed you to jump between them.
I think instead of having 24/7 wvw, reducing # of days per round is also an option. For example: wvwvw is only from thursday – Sunday. That will allow wvw players to have break for 3 days to do other things pve or whatever.
In addition, a new format of wvw / pvp could also be added to occur between wvw gap.
- System that is a marriage between wvwvw and spvp. Instead of having 5v5 and small maps, they could have big maps like wvwvw and starting # cap players of 30-50 (arbitrary for now).
- More players can join in and they would be put in holding area for queue. They can get into the battlefield if only there is similar queue in other servers. This is to maintain balance for # of people in the field from each server.
- There is time limit for this battle, say 3 events per day: 6 hrs in NA prime time, 6 hrs in EU prime time and 6 hrs in oceanic prime time.
Nice ideas, except it wouldn’t work. PvPers don’t do PvE as a rule, and not all PvPers who WvW like sPvP. And even if you reduced the number of days you can WvW, it still wouldn’t help the issue of having or not having 24hr coverage.
I would imagine the majority of the playerbase would also object to being told when they can or can’t WvW.
I see your idea of reducing the mount of time players can WvW and assume its based on Jedahs QQing about the game killing him because he just HAS to play 24/7. If you were to base assumptions on his posts in this and his last thread, you could be forgiven for thinking that he, and the rest of MERC are the only guild keeping SoS at #1 which is complete bollocks. I am sure the rest of SoS would take offence at the implication they are all carried by MERC. Yes, MERC has a heavy WvW prescence, but they aren’t the only guild I see on the borderlands (can’t speak for EB as I don’t go on it).
@Arrclyde
I agree with you about it being more noticeable on EU servers. If a server goes quiet at night with minimal population as how I noted on an EU server, it would only take one guild from a different timezone to vastly change the balance. Then comes the snowball effect, as soon as that server starts travelling up the rankings more and more people jump on the bandwagon for an easy ride through the tiers.
@ Cloud:
So Pacific players shoildn`t be punished. But it`s ok to punished “daytime player” Byte flushing their investments in time AND gold spend down the toilette. I can only tell for the european severs, from searching the Internet it doesn`t seem to be such a bigbedi Problem on NA servers.@ Nashaan:
Well theoretically might seem to be even. But sinne in Europe players tend to choose their servers after the language spoken on the specific Servers, i would almost say that other timezones outside of CES have a far small impact in that case as u might thinking. Though, as u have mentioned the russians, there is a strong russians server on European servers. But i must admit that i am Not quite aware of their actual strength and size. But since u have quite good answers to that subject u can explain to me why NA servers did leveled themself to that raiting So quick and EU Servers have so big gaps in points and raiting changes much more dramatically. I still try to find the reasons for that.
‘Night capping ’ as people call it happens just as much on the NA servers as it does the EU servers. The majority of Korean/ Aus/ NZ guilds play on NA servers as they give better latency.
I would say a good portion of large point gaps and rating changes are due to bandwagonning, the blame for which sits squarely on Anet’s shoulders for allowing players to freely hop servers without being charged and still take part in WvW straight away.
The reason the NA servers levelled out in my opinion is that the majority of them have 24 hr coverage. Speaking as a Brit on NA servers, they are populated throughout the day & night, either by US folks or non US folks. An excellent example for that is : at this moment it is 1523 gmt, that’s 1023 est and 0723 pst, yet 17 of the 24 servers are full, the others are very high. Compare that to EU servers where only 5 of the 27 servers are full, and 20 are very high, considering its 1623 in central Europe you would expect it to be the other way around.
From experience when I switched to Blacktide for a couple of weeks to play with friends, after 1-2 am the server dies a death (granted that was a month ago, and I didn’t wvw) at that time of the day LA was a ghost town during the week and at weekends.
Having said all that, I’m not sure what Jade Quarry had for breakfast this morning but they have nearly kicked us (SBI) off our own map so I don’t think you’ll see many of them complaining about out of hours capping lol, and peak US time isn’t for hours yet.
The first thing that needs to be changed imo is getting rid of free server transfers, or placing restrictions on them somehow (something that actually works, not just saying you can only do it once a week)
@Cloud:
well we all know what Arenanet did say about nightcapping. We did read that…… BUT when i read that i had slight feelings of not noticing…. and would like to give u a small hint to sometimes do a bit “out of a box thinking”: unlike Northamerica with its millions of squaremiles of wide land an many people AND if you count Canada, Alaska AND Hawaii its 8 timezones (each 1 hour of timediffrence) we in Europe have mostly ONE Timezone. Just ONE. That means: when it is night Most players sleep. The One that doesnt cannot keep that pace forever. Here in Europe u have the Problem when Thatcher you go to sleep in eastern Europe people in Western Europe will mostly do too. Total diffrent to NA east- to westcoast population.@ topic:
To prevent burnout i advise u the following => it is a game after all. just Don`t play if u feel unhealthy. Its you choice.
NA servers : difference between PST and EST = 3 hours
EU servers : UK = GMT, Western/ central Europe = GMT +1, Greece = GMT +2, Russia = GMT + 4 (not part of the EU I know but Russians play on EU servers)
Point being, there is just as much time difference on one side of the Atlantic as the other. Punishing night capping will always effect people regardless of where they live/ what time they play. The only people that would be happy with it would be the people who live in the same time zone that a night capping time was set in.
Saw a warrior get up to 88% once before …. on the opposite side of the coin, I usually run in there and explode lol
You don’t need a programed donation system.
When i’m going to upgrade something i write into the map-channel, that i’m collecting for an upgrade and minutes later the letters with a few coins arrive…
Sometimes i have to write more than once and have to motivate people to give money, but usually it’s no big matter.
Seen this a few times on SBI.
If you could pay gold to order upgrades bit by bit, what would happen if your server loses the tower/ keep before all the money is there for the upgrade?
Legionnaire Kress Rustmaw in Sati Pasage …. wiki is your friend
i dont wann play with US or vs US – im on EU and on EU we still have a lot servers with “Character”
we have 2 from this 24/7 (blacktide and seafarers) servers cause everyone and there dog transfer there and think they are pro and they are just what they are – a big blob from everywehre and noone (nearly) wanna be t1 and fight them cause its just boringour ranking is fine and it starts tier 2 and i realy hope we will never have something like this US ranking
only thing anet can do is
- remove US ppl in EU and EU in US
- stop server hopping or atleast set the cap lower than it is now so ppl move to low server and not “full” servers ^^
- and finally stop nightcapping with low points at nightdone – problem fixed
I agree with the ‘stop server hopping’ but as far as the rest goes,
Remove US ppl from EU and EU from US?? I am from the UK and I play on US servers because that’s where my friends from GW1 play, so are you saying I should be moved to an EU server regardless of where my friends are based?
As far as ‘night capping’ goes, one man’s night is another man’s day, so who’s world should the ability to get points in wvw revolve around? Yours?
At a certain point in the night should West Coast NA players be told ‘sorry, you have to have crap points for capping now because all the East Coast players have gone to bed’?
Should mainland EU or Eastern European players be told at a certain time ‘Sorry, crap points for capping now because all the UK players went to bed’?
What about Oceanic’s? They don’t have the luxury of their own server but should be told ‘Sorry, crap points for capping for you because the rest of the world is asleep’??
Anyone who suggests that ‘Night capping’ should be punished is plain selfish, nothing more.
Could always get the armour from Fireheart and transmute it onto your own.
This wont happen for 1 reason, No EU player will want to play on the NA servers.
Oceanic players will not want to play on EU servers. End of story.Comparing tobacco and GW2 is blasphemous. One has ingredients to make you reliant on them, this causes addiction. GW2 maybe addictive to some extent, but not like that.
Sorry about your health issues, but real life comes first, win or lose, it’s a game.
Hey!!! I am a UK player and I play on NA servers, always have …. EU servers are full of … Europeans :P lol
Pair the NA & EU servers but still keep them separate?
As in NA players play on NA servers, EU players play on EU servers but each NA server has an EU counterpart it is paired with, at the end of the week both servers scores are combined and the rankings sorted from that.
EDIT actually the more I think about it the more I realise that is a dumb idea lol
I’m all for thieves being looked at in regards to stealth issues, but to call for their damage to be reduced by 50% across the board by people is the reason why thieves are coming to this thread and being so defensive or accusing people of being on a witch hunt.
A nerf of that size to the class would render them next to useless. They are SUPPOSED to have high burst dps. Should they be able to drop a player with 20k+ hp in 2 seconds with 3 or 4 skills? No, not in my opinion, but they should have the highest dps of all the classes because they sacrifice other things for it.
The problem is with the culling issues and the ability to chain stealth, they aren’t making those sacrifices because its random guesswork if you hit them, and if you do hit them you don’t know because they are stealthed.
Might as well learn to hate risen mobs now, it will save time when you hit level 70 lol
Highest dps, permastealth, best mobility, decent ranged dng. What’s balanced about this? Thieves are in abject denial of god mode.
What needs fixing is peoples perception on thiefs
Highest DPS, Stealth and mobility. So thats a 30/30/30/30/30 build your talking about then. When can I spec like this? Because im limited.
And the OP is a warrior. Warriors, full glass cannon, invunrability and 20khp and massive leaps and good duration blocks, 6sec cooldowns. Yea ok. I rolled a warrior and laughed at the power compared to a thief
People need to learn to make proper pvp builds if they want to pvp and win
The difference is you can see a warrior coming, and if he starts losing mid fight, he doesn’t have the option to disappear and reappear 10 seconds later for another attempt. Likewise if he runs away you can see him do it.
Thieves ARE OP in their current state, but until the culling issue is addressed no-one can look subjectively at thieves to see if something needs toning down.
Its one thing to pick up all the supplies from a tower or keep when you would normally run to a supply depot because you know its about to be lost, but this is something I have noticed more and more on SBI as well, you run to a supply depot belonging to you and find no supply and rams all over the place.
I am sure some people think spies & sabotage are a valid tactic but I don’t think they belong in WvW, especially as they can do it without the fear of reprisals.
The quicker Anet start charging to switch servers the better.
Most annoying class to deal with in WvW? Any class that is being controlled by someone who knows how to play that class to the best of its ability
EDIT* Except for rangers because even though Anet showcased GW2 with the ranger class, they still managed to turn out like an afterthought
I’ve never encountered a lone ranger that I was annoyed with or had to run away from. Can’t say the same for some other classes
There ya go, I fixed it lol
Most annoying class to deal with in WvW? Any class that is being controlled by someone who knows how to play that class to the best of its ability
Are you…suggesting that dungeons in GW2 aren’t short enough?
I….what?
Gone are the days of Underworld, FoW or Urgoz where you would be in there for 4-5 hours clearing it out Ahlen, now its all about shortest time for maximum reward
… kids these days, no stamina lol
The pet I use changes a lot depending on the situation, but here’s a general list of rules I go by when choosing a pet:
PvE:
Bow build – Wolf/Krytan Drakehound
(Canines have a fast attack rate and give good dps while also bringing CC and good defensive stats to survive)Sword build with 20-30 points in BM – Raven/Jaguar
Orr farming with a tagging build – Carrion Devourer/Forest Spider
(The AoE poison of Carrion Devourers has a fast cast and works well to tag multiple mobs quickly. Ranged pets are also generally more effective on mobs that will die quickly.)Fights where melee gets chewed up – Lakittenail Devourer/Forest Spider
Fights with lots of conditions – Brown Bear
Fights with lots of AoE – River Drake
PvP:
Bow Build – Jungle Spider or Krytan Drakehound/WolfSword Build – Raven/Wolf
If they ever buff spirits so that they don’t die so quickly, I’ll probably try a support build that uses blue moa/red moa.
Hmmm … a Lakittenail devourer, don’t think I’ve seen that one lol … gotta love the filter
Shortbow has always been an auto attack weapon, even before they nerfed the attack speed, which is a shame really.
The first char I made at headstart was a ranger with red hair, ironic that the class turned out to be the red headed step child of the game lol
I have yet to meet another player that wanted to skip large chunks because they didn’t have time to do it properly, and I have yet to join a FotM group where someone said they only had time to do 1 of the 3/4 (admittedly no-one in their right mind would say that before entering FotM as it would result in insta-kick lol)
The first scenario happens a lot in PUG’s, especially when there is little communication; people have different expectations of how to run a dungeon resulting in unexpected run lengths. The second scenario happens pre-forming a group when you are inquiring who would like to go AND has time to do a run.
Regardless, I think your point, and correct me if I am wrong, is that there is no player base for the type of dungeon I propose. Then I would ask you the opposite; if such proposed dungeon were to exist, would it not attract existing players whom currently don’t do dungeon runs mainly due to time constrictions, to also participate and experience the dungeon content of GW2?
Oh I am sure a dungeon like you suggest would be most welcome by a lot of players, speaking personally I would treat it as a daily to be added to the dailies I already do, as I am sure many others would too.
It sounds very similar to the 1 man daily dungeons they added in Aion, but with a full group obviously (although if I am honest, I wouldn’t mind a single player daily dungeon either lol)
OMG!! 7 pets … Nerf rangers, they are clearly OP … oh wait, I forgot, rangers were already nerfed by design lol
I would love for Anet to put UW in GW2, I remember my first beta weekend, when I came across the remains of ToA in the swamp and saw a portal to Underworld, I was so disappointed when I realised you couldn’t actually go through it lol
Wait why are many of you asking for a damage compensation with a stowed pet when you’re apparently pro without one and don’t need to rely on it.
You’re just being confrontational now.
It’s pretty obvious that the ranger was designed to have less damaging attacks than other classes because there was supposed to be supplemental damage coming from the pet.The problem as it stands is that this supplemental damage system only works in theory because in a majority of game settings the pets die (ie every time there is something that needs to be dodged). Thus obviously to keep some semblance of class balance in the game it makes sense that a ranger build sans pet would need some sort of damage buff to compensate. My original post was not trying to “buff” rangers at all, but just keep things as they stand in terms of the theoretical damage output of our profession.
And also yes I am “pro” without my pet. Any ranger worth his salt has learned to be due to the nature of the game (pets being dead 75% of the time). After 600 hours on my ranger character I have concluded that the best way to run dungeons is to keep my pets on passive and treat them only as an extra boon spell (I use jungle stalker/red moa). Their offensive damage is laughable as they only can manage to get in a couple hits before dying. Also I run with 6 ranger runes and I always try to keep my pets alive as long as possible for that extra 5% damage, but even on passive mode they still die quickly to any aoes that come my way.
So please, be honest with me, do YOU really “rely” on your pet?
To change the subject somewhat, I believe the pet just needs to be out to get the 5% from ranger runes, alive or downed makes no difference.
You will only slow down if your pet enters combat or you get hit, if the pet is on passive and gets hit it ignores it and keeps running and so do you. Its when the pet gets hit and it stops to retaliate that slows you down and puts you in combat.
(edited by Nashaan.3160)
In my experience there are 3 types of people that do dungeons
- those that do it purely for tokens, in which case they want to get to the end as fast as possible so tend to skip as much as they can
- those that do it for loot/ money/ exp in which case they like to kill all the bosses and not skip any
- those that do it for the enjoyment of running a dungeon
I have yet to meet another player that wanted to skip large chunks because they didn’t have time to do it properly, and I have yet to join a FotM group where someone said they only had time to do 1 of the 3/4 (admittedly no-one in their right mind would say that before entering FotM as it would result in insta-kick lol)
The fact that you don’t even know server transfers are free…really makes you look…idiotic.
The fact that you don’t know free server transfers are temporary… well, not going to stoop to your level of name-calling. Because that would make me look “idiotic”.
From the official wiki, it will cost gems at some point, as it was originally scheduled to be a paid service…
Can I change servers?
Yes. You can change your home world. There will be a limit of one such transfer every seven days per account; each transfer will cost 1,800 gems. After a transfer, all existing and future characters on your account will play in the new world.
So let’s see that argument in the future when the transfers cost gems and more people complain about this without Arenanet fixing the problem.
Why argue for a painful work-around or bandage when the developers can fix the problem? Oh that’s right, because people apparently love arguing for the sake of arguing on forums. rolls eyes
Its not a case of arguing for the sake of it, people don’t agree with you that there is a problem that needs ‘fixing’
My issue with thieves is:
High damage
Mobility
StealthSomethings gotta go, because they’re really annoying to fight.
There’s got to be more give and take, if they want stealth then they have low damage.
As much as I dislike thieves in wvw, if you took away their stealth they would be worth less than a ranger trying to hit a moving target with a bow. The class makes sacrifices in survivability in exchange for high dps, the only thing they have to offset that is stealth.
Having said that stealth has big issues with it, and its not just the culling that causes them. Surprising you out of stealth and hitting you with burst damage I am fine with, the ability to re-stealth and run away if that burst doesn’t kill you and keep coming back to try again is more of a problem, along with the perma stealth issues.
Sorry to seem so negative about an issue that obviously bothers you enough to post about it but you are on a pvp map, why are you seemingly surprised when you get killed trying to do something?
Its no different to a guild or group camping a supply depot. The problem is that because its a jump puzzle people assume it should be pve.
I have no interest in the JP’s on the wvw maps and I don’t think they should even be on there, but as they are likely here to stay then in my eyes every enemy player camping a JP is one less attacker of a tower or keep when I am defending or one less defender when I am attacking.
Fix perma stealth exploits. Simple
This ^^ x 1000
Thieves SHOULD have stealth, but to be able to slip into a tower or keep and stay there permanently stealthed needs to be seriously addressed, just like their usual partners in crime (mesmers) shouldn’t be able to switch armour pces/ guild tag in order to circumvent the auto kick on wvw maps so they can lie dead for 30-40 minutes while a perma stealthed thief revives them a tiny bit at a time …. but that is for a separate topic so I’ll leave that.
IMO damage taken whilst stealthed should knock you out of stealth. If a thief has a DoT on them a single tick should knock them out of stealth too)
All of the dungeons are level appropriate ..
Ascalonian Catacombs is level 30 story / level 35 explorable
Caudicus’ Manor is level 40 story/ level 45 explorable
Twilight Arbour is level 50 story/ level 55 explorable
Sorrow’s Embrace is level 60 story/ level 65 explorable
Citadel of Flame is level 70 story/ level 75 explorable
Honor of the Waves I believe is 75/ 77
Crucible of Eternity & Arah are level 80
The problem is, most groups want 80’s because 80’s are more often than not in exotics and have all their trait points. Even though you get downscaled for a lower dungeon you still keep your trait points/ skills etc so that makes the run go faster (in theory at least, doesn’t always pan out like that in PuG’s lol). The result is players who are the right level for the dungeon tend to get pushed to one side and left out.
I personally have no problem doing dungeons with players who are the right level for them, yes it takes longer but I don’t see myself as so pushed for time I cant spend an extra 20 minutes in one or insist on skipping half the content.
There are a lot of others with the same attitude, but unfortunately there are also a lot of players who will insist on full groups of 80’s to do a level 35 dungeon as well.
It’s not that the low level ones are too hard unless you are 80, its more of a case of you get used to running ez mode when you are 80.
My advice is when you want to do a dungeon, add your level to your lfg message or post on gw2lfg.com and make a point of putting your level in the comment section, that way people can’t complain you aren’t 80 once you are in the group.
hi,
newbie question, can players from different server join as group for FOTM?
Yes, but when you enter FotM, you all need to be in the same overflow channel.
I agree with the OP
I have explored every PvE map in the game, and there is no situation where I needed a 25% speed buff outside of combat. All you will do is train more mobs onto other players or onto yourself!
Try doing a speed run through any of the Orrs maps and see how far you get. The only speed increase will be in how faster you die ..
I can speed run through ML and CS from ori node to ori node and not fight or die on all of my chars (ranger, warrior, mesmer, guardian & thief) the easiest one and the fastest one to do it on is thief with the 25% speed. The only time I will stop and fight is if I accidentally train someone (usually if I see someone I will take a wide berth so as not to train them)
Drop S&R for QZ… it barely works and with QZ you are able to rez a fallen mate much faster than your pet ever will (not to mention the other obvious benefits that come with that skill).
Not to mention half the time the pet just runs over and t-bags the downed player and doesn’t actually rez them lol
<snip>Honestly, condition ranger is bad for Dungeons and Rampager is also bad for PvP since you’ll be glass cannon.
<snip>
I don’t pvp on my ranger … pets are next to useless unless the enemy is standing still, we have no burst damage to finish anyone off and bow shots miss to frequently (altho that apparantly will be improved upon on Friday – altho that remains to be seen, I stopped holding my breath for ranger improvements, it saves on disappointment on patch days lol)
I love how people recommend switching servers for a week then coming back to my original server just to get a couple POIs and Vistas. Yeah, like I should spend $50 (1800 gems each way) for this plus try to gamble even more during off-peak time to get back onto my home, Tarnished Coast, which is already busy. Let alone I’ll be isolated from my guild during that time. Yeah, awesome plan. >.<
Would be much easier if Arenanet just fixed it and rotated servers each week instead of having locations based on rankings from the following week. After all, they’re all the same maps, so why even have duplicated Waypoints, Vistas, and POIs in the first place?
Server transfers are still free so it wouldn’t cost you anything.
You imply Anet should fix it but who says it is broken? The position of the BL maps is staggered to represent 1st, 2nd & 3rd place so what is there to fix? I still haven’t gotten the SW corner of EB because SoS win every week, there’s no point crying over it though. I will eventually get it when SBI are in 1st place again, whether it be in our current tier or another tier. If I am actively mapping I will jump to WVW and look at the maps to see if we hold any towers & keeps that I need then run to them and grab the poi/ vista. If we don’t hold what I need I will just check periodically during my playtime.
Devourer/Devourer for their range.
This^^^
(Plus they look awesome when they are swimming underwater lol)
Am I the only one who has a vision of the OP stamping their feet, crossing their arms and sticking out their bottom lip?
RNG sucks, more so when group members get stuff and you don’t but its not the end of the world. I just call them a lucky kittener and get on with my day.
Maybe the OP would prefer it if, everytime someone get an exotic from RNG, he/ she got the same item through in the mail? Surely that would make it fairer /sarcasm off
I went for Endless Quiver purely because at the time of making ancient bones were the cheapest option lol
You can get to the juvenile devourers easily by just following the road. When Magg could be bugged in CoF path 2 countless players had level 2’s and 3’s parked in Fireheart Rise to switch for full tokens (myself included) . It’s an easy run all the way to Fireheart Rise, occasionally there might be a canyon spider just before the heart quest where the juvie devourers are but they can be avoided easily enough.
Now if you decide you want a hawk from Iron Marches, that is a different matter lol
Kill shot is easy to avoid, as soon as the warrior kneels down count to 1 and dodge roll. Technically to get the highest damage from kill shot its not 1 shot, they need to put bleeding on you (autoattack) and vulnerability before doing kill shot to maximise the damage. They also need full adrenaline to hit for decent damage.
Having said that I’ve never hit that high on my warrior, I think 12k is my highest but she also isn’t a glass cannon.
As Ursan said, rangers have sustained DPS, tho I would be lying if every time I used kill shot or hundred blades on my warrior, or unload on my thief I didn’t have a pang of jealousy for my ranger and a tiny wish that we had a channelled skill which did the same kind of damage lol.
But I guess its all swings and roundabouts, we have a pet that chases other players and does no damage because it can’t hit a moving target /sarcasm off lol
I have full Rampager’s (power/ prec/ cond dmg) on my ranger, armour, weapons & jewellry and I have no trouble staying alive, but then I don’t melee so its not really comparable.
