A dungeon finder is absolutely needed for this game.
Not an improved LFG tool, but an actual dungeon finder.
If they fix the excessive messaging thing it would be ok to me, but right now it’s VERY annoying… so change he chat system or put a Dungeon Finder. For GW2 it would be even easier since you don’t really need a particular class..
True. A dungeon finder will make finding groups easier.
Dungeon finder did not ruin any communities.
What it did, was it took the hold that some guilds had on certain servers: no more labelling players as “great healer” or “bad tank” just because you were in a so-called “pro-guild”. You could team up with players on all servers, which was great because it gave everyone a fair chance at actually seeing and playing those dungeons.
If anything, that automatic dungeon finder brought people together, gave them the opportunity to meet new players. Honestly, if you only play with 4-5 people from your guild or friends list, maybe an MMO game is not the best kind of game for you.
I’ll admit that there were the occasional jerks in those groups, but as far as I’m concerned the good far outweigh the bad, that’s why I’m all for the automatic dungeon finder.
Not having a proper dungeon finder is indeed a very bad idea.
No….that is the worst form of LFG I could think of, this does not promote anything other than “i wanna farm dungeons” mentality
Saying that’s what “you can think of” it’s not an argument, it’s you having no arguments at all.
the automatic kind of LFG caters to people who don’t CARE that they are in a group, they just NEED one to do the content, and couldn’t give 2 kittens about who else is on their team….they just wanna run dungeons mindlessly for tokens etc.
Nothing wrong with wanting to run dungeons, after all it’s a video game so one would want to play it, not stand around in one place for hours looking for others to play with.
The current LFG feature is practically non-existent, so your “no point” argument is not really an argument, it is just simply: wrong.
I’ll say this again, maybe you will be able to understand it this time: change the current LFG tool only to dungeon finder, nothing less; making it anything else, will not be of much help, if any, to finding a group.
Perhaps you should try reading the suggestion before adding your 2 cents, because that tends to just roll them down the drain.
Perhaps you should try understanding the suggestion…
If it’s not going to be an automated dungeon finder, that makes the group and teleports you to the dungeon, there’s no point in changing the current LFG tool.
No more “inbetween” lfg tools, just make a proper dungeon finder so we don’t have to wait for an entire hour in LA to get a group for Sorrow’s Embrace .
RLD, in fact that is a main reason why I stopped playing SWTOR. I was so fed up with having to stand around spamming chat for a group. I left them a pretty long explanation in my “exit interview”.
That’s the exact same reason why I quit playing SWTOR and it IS the reason why it failed as a game.
A good MMO game these days does need a dungeon finder. It is mandatory to have such a tool and not just wait for hours to find a group.
I do hope that they will add a LFG tool soon.
It was INFURIATING especially being new to dungeons at the time.
I could not agree more with you on this one. It makes the experience absolutely awful playing with those “skippers”.
I also think a LFG system would be nice to have , it is quite difficult to find groups as it is.
Where you a Charr by any chance? Cause it seems to be the only race that is bugged on that quest.
Thanks Galmuth , I used that workaround to get by.
“the stone sheath” quest can’t be finished because as soon as you exit the water while holding the quest item it will disappear.
1.Start the quest “the stone sheath” (playing as charr)
2.Go under water and find the quest item (“dwarven scabbard”) and pick it up
3.Swim to the surface while holding the quest item
4.Quest item disappears, making it impossible to progress with the quest.
LE:As it is right now, I tried doing this fighting the mobs and not fighting any mobs, still the same: as soon as I reached the surface, the item disappears.
