That Simin fight is bugged as hell.
Either the sparks go crazy and they just don’t fall in their places or the boss will not hide with all the sparks still being out.
Happened almost every time I’ve tried it. I was hoping that the developers had already fixed that encounter…
Dwayna in P4, can’t be done. It is that simple.
I agree with this except I wouldn’t say it is a specific class setup that you need. They just need to fix that bloody sparks movement.
I’ve been there dozens of times, with different classes in the group (other than warrior, or mesmer or guardian) and the only problem I’ve encountered is the crazy sparks movement. We bring the sparks to their places in less than 10 seconds, but they just won’t stay there. You might hear some people say that the sparks aren’t bugged, but I have yet to see a run where they work smoothly.
And also, one time we noticed that Dwayna wouldn’t stealth anymore even though all five sparks have spawned.

could it be possible to make a dungeon finder like WoW? it would make it alot easier for people in medium or low population servers.

Just to point this out, the Engineer already has a great (if using the correct traits) source of melee damage: Bomb Kit.
It would be a lot better if they just fix the bugs in some dungeons, if not all of them.
The option to have your name displayed on the leaderboard should be optional. At least as far as a PvE leaderboard goes.
I don’t see how PvE needs this sort of leaderboard. But if they do implement it, they should just make it optional.

Just to clarify my previous post. I don’t run CoF with a guild, I don’t run CoF with a steady group. I run CoF with my engineer, exclusively with pugs found on gw2lfg.com. At any given time when I feel like running that dungeon… all I do is pull up lfg.com and look for posters in the top third of the page who are LF#M and aren’t saying “must be X class or have Y gear”. Then i start sending /join requests. The first few, the game will usually pop a message up saying the party or guild is full. So I refresh the page and try again.
Right now at 08:00 on a weekday there are five posts the fit that criteria, all less than five minutes old with new ones popping up every few minutes. You have to be quick on the draw, the groups fill up fast. Refresh the page, identify a suitable post, ctrl-c the character name, then jump over to your game and type /join then ctrl-v and hit enter.
Seriously, try it. It works fine.

However, you seem to be joining the groups without specifying your class which doesn’t go against my point at all. Perhaps I didn’t explained myself well enough: I don’t have problems finding groups for the dungeon, just having problems finding groups for that dungeon when advertising that class.
Also , yesterday when I checked it, there was only one LFG, for specific classes not randoms, posted there for about 20 minutes.

There’s three people claiming it’s easy for them and two saying otherwise. Those numbers don’t really help with your claim. Please, again, read the thread carefully.

Feel free to make your own group, with the same conditions(place an add specifying the class) and you can see for yourself. But this is something you should have done already since you call people as “doing something wrong”

Try reading the whole thread carefully before assuming that there’s only one person having difficulties with finding groups. Further more, if you read the thread carefully, you might find out that I only find it difficult to find groups with that class.
I totally agree with this for PvE. I’m not interested in this sort of competing, so at least let me decide if my name is on that leaderboard or not.
Not sure I understand how someone can go from “it takes hours to find a group” with a specific class, to thinking " joined a bunch of groups who instantly kicked you"…
I always specify what class I will bring to the group, so my guess is that there’s not enough people interested in having that class in their dungeon.

Sitting for half to almost an hour for an event to start is boring as heck! If that was the intention, to make it so boring no one would do them, then you succeeded.

The only real problem that I’ve found was the sparks movement on Dwayna fight in Arah path 4. The sparks are bugged as crazy (they stop moving for no reason or they go around the spot they’re supposed to move in), which makes the fight extremely unpleasant.
The difficulty should be in learning the mechanics and not in being lucky enough to not have a bugged fight.
My Dungeon Master title is worthless now :/
That title alone was never an indicator of being a skilled player, so its worth hasn’t really changed now.
A Dungeon Finder should be added.
Dungeon Finder is indeed a must have. It takes hours to find a group for Arah explorable.
Also you don’t deserve the dungeon master title if you just bought your way in.
I guess you don’t deserve your legendary if you buy it, also.
You deserve that title if you get it. What you don’t deserve is advertise yourself as a skilled player just by having it.
Only ‘broken’ thing would be the spark AI.

Heh…we actually had the exact opposite of this, but only once: she stopped going stealth with all five sparks out. This was after the latest patch.
The boss was probably bugged on them as well.
Strange, I have yet to meet a single person in-game who thinks that there’s nothing wrong with that encounter. I’m willing to bet that the people who claim it’s not bugged are always using the 4-1 sparks bug to defeat that boss.
The only problem that this encounter has, was not addressed: just fix the sparks already.
We’re fighting this boss right now. Have been for about an hour and the sparks are just as crazy bugged. Brilliant!
I would just love to have a team which can’t get it done. Perhaps it is bugged but I can’t reproduce.
Perhaps I misunderstood, but is this an offer to help people who struggle with that fight or the sparks have never bugged on your encounters? Personally I have around ten hours on that fight alone and most of the times the sparks just go crazy(and I don’t mean they change aggro to someone else) or even just stop 1-2 yards away from their spot.

That encounter is buggy as hell. Specifically the sparks: they stop moving or just ignore the traps. Another five hours wasted on a buggy boss.

As of right now, I have a little over seven hours on that boss alone. I don’t think the difficulty (if any) resides in the mechanics , but in the really buggy sparks movement: almost every time the sparks just stop 1-2 yards away from the traps for a few seconds(not aggro-ing or attacking anyone) which makes the boss heal more.
Good work with making the waypoints unavailable when the party is in combat.
Now make the trashmobs not skippeable.
Dungeon Finders are a very good idea and have proven their usefulness in other mmo games. I’d very much rather play for three hours than waste three hours only in trying to find a group.

On a side note, I don’t find the content easy or difficult. I find the content easy or difficult for myself.
It takes longer to find a group, than the dungeon itself. Today, I tried for four hours to find a group for Arah p4. At the end, we still needed three more people.
Need to kick this old school. Trash mobs need to not respawn and also mobs need to not drop aggro when you run away. Make people play the game and cut paths to the boss. This gets people working together and learn what the teams play style is before you are chucked in the deep end with a boss fight. Running back after your dead should be that simple, your team and killed the mobs so you can run there safely!!!!
As for not being able to WP when you die, I think it should stay. Make people look at what team mates are doing and help them. Everyone needs to help res and watch whats going on. There maybe no set healers in this game but it always seems its just 1 or 2 players that are trying to res, most times just 1.
I also think that WP-rezzing should stay only if the enemies stop dropping aggro in a dungeon.
Losing aggro in a dungeon should only work when using specific skills like stealth, not by running for 50 yards away from an enemy.
If you don’t have any valid arguments, better not say anything at all.
