1) yeh there are more than 1 out there…
for example at griffon jumping puzzle above the place where you start there is a skeleton and inside the skeleton there is another coin
2) i think in the other topic they assumed it was the signature of a developer

you also dont need teleport gun or experimental rifle at all to reach this coin there in LA… not even a weapon leap skill ^^

I enjoy using the Experimental Rifles and Experimental Teleport guns to see what I can break half the time while doing nothing in Lions arch.

While trying to get up high I found myself in a small crevice with this Golden Coin which I have no Idea as to what it is.

Second attempt was aswell amazing, 4/5 but the DPS was lacking at the Multiplying phase.

Great positive attitude for the players of Sanctum of Rall, Flawless victory against Scarlets Weapon.

We held up a great fight, Lanes 1 2 were amazing out Lane which was 3 had some trouble but we quickly stepped up and Lane 4 and 5 were amazing aswell.

We had some trouble around midway, Lanes 1 and 2 failed the second attempt so we pulled as many lanes as we could into Lane 3 to finish it off before it was too late, it was 5 seconds before the timer went down and that watchwork would just not stop multiplying. You definitely need to rally when that happens.

Seeing as it would not be very wise to force the price of something to crash, which would cause Legendaries to tilt aswell.

Plus think about it… Anet would love to add it because they treasure their
TIME GATED Materials.

I am not sure to which extent they could introduce time gated materials. They would have to create new ones possibly, or use the ascended ones, as i think it´s be to unfair to use time gated materials like the quarz crystals, that you can´t get anymore if you weren´t playing that part of the LS.
I personally hope it won´t include to many lvl 500 crafting professions, as i already feel tricked by that bit. I had leveled all 8 professions to 400 and now they tell me to get another 100 levels -.-
But i agree that it´d be a nice change to see more reliable ways to obtain a precursor weapon. Possibly make it so that you can only get a precursor once with that account and make it account bound. That way you would keep the value of existing ones on the TP as well, but give a lot of players a chance to get one in a secure way.

I wouldn’t go as far to say make it One per account, but I would most likely say they would at least have to add some form of TIME GATE and something that is simular to making a Legendary like “Gift of Precursor” or something on this form of level.

Like say…

“Gift of Precursor”
“100 Deldrimor Greatsword Blades”
“Dark Matter”
“Some other Mat maybe 4 Dungeon things forged together”

Personally I believe anet track who will buy gems for conversion to gold and lower their chances of looting precursors. People say I’m paranoid and crazy for suggesting that, but part of my rl job involves that sort of predictive analytics so I know it happens in companies. If anet aren’t doing it, they should be. Very big moneyspinner.

I have purchased like 100dollars in gems before and I wouldn’t pass it off as a non-possible thing.

That’s not how accounts work.
There is a database. For it to be a difference between accounts there would have to be a “luck” value with either a number (percentage) or just an on/off. Do you really think the devs would even add that? What would be the purpose?

RNG is RNG. People try to find a logic behind it when they’re unlucky. There is no logic, just RNG. And that’s why people are complaining. They can work their kitten off for months and never get lucky at the forge and be forced to buy their precursor. And to me and a lot of people, buying a precursor isn’t “legendary” at all.

I wasn’t referring to you. Just saying in general. Of course it’s okay you got 6 precursors out of forge, it’s just kinda painful that only a slight percentage ever does.
I’d prefer if they give everyone a precursor through accessible means (aka. a scavenger hunt), not through months farming or pure luck.

And, if you can spare some money, I have 2 gold atm (gearing up new characters does that to you), much obliged to charity. xD

Yup, sounds pretty reasonable to me, its insane thinking that someone got 6 of them with so little money.

NOTE: RNG seems to favor new players a LOT.

No idea actually, but from my nearly 3K hours since headstart, probably a lot. Tried a couple of times forging swords, or dumping rares I get from missions and world bosses. Nothing so far from the Mystic Toilet of doom.

Though I did get a Venom out of a Dredge Commissar chest, so I guess I got that. Better than nothing, right? (Although, I would’ve preferred to get nothing. It was a bitter lol).

Now I know why I see you all the times I go to Lion’s Arch too. :P

1000~1500 gold in weapon skins. Including attempts for precursor (which I still don’t have)
200~300 gold in various armours, sigil’s and runes.
400 ~500 gold in misc stuff like dyes, back pieces, gemstore and other less important stuff.

If we add the conversation for Sigils and Dyes I have sunk a good 100g in Lipstick Dyes for 4 Back to Back Abyss dyes (per inventory set) It sure caused the price to jump from 50s to 5 gold in 1 day xD

“Having fun” variety from player to player, some people enjoy WvW, PvP or Spending their time in Lions Arch making friend and having a good time, I gamble the forge for the Thrill it gives you when you almost get a Pre but it turns out to be a Golden Sword or one of the many Exotics that look like Dusk.

I only play an do dungeons with one of my in game friends aside from that I just stand around Lions Arch forging, but currently I am going for my 6th Dusk after I farm up some mats (Doesn’t wanna sell Dusk due to Listing price and -10% Final Sale Fee)

I enjoy Forging, Buying 5000 Globs of Ecto, Salvaging them and raising my luck while losing on on 10 gold per 250 Stack, it just gives me something to do.

Maybe you should be more grateful that you got 6 freaking precursors with those tries.

When it comes to gold, I really do not care much at all for it, I most likely will never sell them for gold or make Legendaries, It’s more or less a means to hoard items and keep gambling.

edit: I did get 5-6 Ebon blades, and 2 Golden Swords which look just like the pre’s but aren’t worth nearly as much. RNG is RNG sometimes those are Pre’s as in the OPs case and sometimes they aren’t as in mine.

I am relatively a Gambling person an any MMO I ever play once I get End game there just doesn’t seem to be anything good to do once you get everything, just farm gold and afk in an major city all day.

Looking at this entire thread I can now see how much luck I have been having with RNG compared to veterans and such :s

Mystic forge loves me I guess, I have only been playing for 56 days with 845 hours of gameplay, so maybe once I have 200 or so days my luck will be the same as most o.o…

I was curious as to see whats the % of gold players have spent on the Mystic Forge in attempts to get any form of Precursor…

So far this week I have invested into…
113g in Carrion Krait Slayers ~1 Dusk
79g in Carion Krait Slayers ~1 Dusk
30g in Exotic Greatswords ~1 Dusk
200g (Friends gold) in Carrion Krait Slayers ~1 Dusk
and 300g in Carrion Krait Slayers ~1 Dusk ~1 Dawn

I have since pulled out 5 Dusks and 1 Dawn.

Still do not know what to do with all the gold…
Most likely just forge for more and or salvage Globs for Magic Find % and Money Back.

I have only started forging recently and it seems like a really great way to make gold, although people disagree with the method because of RNG.

All in all I seem to be seeing a near 80% – 90% chance of getting a Precursor when I try to get one at least.

It’s a relatively cost saving method if you are interested in the chest drops or just want something specific for (free) I do it daily as a ice breaking from all the dungeons and stuff that I do.

If you do not have a personal banker just buy the staff from the TP once you finish Shaemores opening quest

Black Lion Chest Keys can be farmed (I clocked in 5 runs with a friend using THE fastest method) 18 Minutes.

You create a Human, Guardian storyline (2)(2)(2)(2) Always choose this storyline
(This works amazingly with the Personal Banker)
You basically get a MIGHTY STAFF from TP and take it out of your banker when you create the Human Staff Guardian and rush your way through everything to get to your 10th storyline quest.

What I mean by the fastest possible way is you have a friend with you doing the same thing and each of you are doing the quests together but are getting the waypoints / story mode instances while the other runs to the next instance.

Simply put…

The first Instance (After the Heart quest) is you have to save petra and her father from the bandits at her bar I rally all the bandits from bottom – top and drag thema ll to Blaize (He is the one on the stairs) this saves you like 3 minutes. Once you leave this instance your friend runs to get to the instance that is on the other side of the map in queensdale and you grab the next waypoint which is in the center of divinities reach then you go grab the storyline activation (Your friend should have gotten there by the time you activate to join in)

You do not have to use a friends help but solo with no personal baker = about 30-40 minutes per key where as the rushing method with 24 might bonus due to the skill Empower is 18mins.

I was really excited when i saw the new female charr faces, i especially liked the lynx-like face. I found it a bit too “cute-ish” but i though, okay, let’s see what i can make of it. I like my charrs looking predatory and fierce, and hell, this face proved to be a real challenge… i had a general idea of what made a face look fierce and i think i did the best i could with this face…. but from the front it still looks as if it was smiling :P But overall, i’m kinda content with it (it really is the closest one can get to a dangerous lynx look with this face, i think)

The one thing I disliked about the face is the whole “Bushy Brow” deal.
I farm Black Lion Keys about 10 times a day (3 hours – 4 in total) I get maybe 1 – 2 Total make over kits every day with some great side loot, uni dyes and sometimes a very very slim chance of perma contracts (have not gotten yet but my friend has)

So changing my look constantly for improvements is relatively simple or just throw down 20 gold to buy 1.

Yours kinda reminds me of Khajits from skyrim x3

I am impressed by what Voodoo managed to get out of that face – but I’ve yet to see any of the new female faces in any configuration that doesn’t look horrific.

I can agree that barely anybody tries to attempt to make a female charr that looks decent if not amazing without making it look UGLY / MANLY or SCARY.

I have my look an my personal opinion mixed with everyone elses in my server is
“The Cutest Charr Ever” + My Looks with the name “Deadly Cuddles” and you’ve got yourself a winner.

Most charrs that play are either Female or Male either way they all look Scary/Ugly or Manly.

I prefer actually trying to ATTEMPT to look female, I say I have done rather well.
