Heh. And now myself and others I’ve spoken to finally use the Doll Tonic and can actually stand being around others who have that tonic on because that horrific scream is no more.
You Die, You Learn Faster
It seems that the Utility Primer somehow interacts with an effect from the Box O’ Fun, and that effect (stealth mode appearance) PERSISTS until one consumes a utility food to override that Box O’ Fun effect (or the Utility Primer times out).
This is one heck of an odd and obscure bug, but it sure makes playing that character nigh impossible in the meantime.
You Die, You Learn Faster
Aye, I’ve been witness to this bug.
After the player used the Box o’ Fun (the changing hues setting), whenever a weapon is wielded (goes into combat, etc.) the character looks as if it is in stealth mode.
And this issue continues even after the client has been restarted. This is a consistent and persistent bug on this character. As it currently stands this character is not really playable.
Truly hope support can figure out a fix for this ASAP.
You Die, You Learn Faster
Greetings!
I am posting on behalf of my friend.
Would greatly appreciate having Ticket # 963890 (mobile authenticator issue) addressed so my friend can log into the game again.
Please, pretty please.
Many thanks! :-)
EDIT: ISSUE RESOLVED. Thank you very much! :-D

Also, I think this fiasco needs a nickname. I vote “Particlegate”

- Offering reskinned armor to customers (regardless of the effects added)—in the Gem Store—could be considered crass and lazy (and well, greedy, in the most unsavory of ways).
- Reskinning an expensive, race-specific armor and offering it to everyone devalues the original set, creating ill-will, frustration and discontent amongst your customers.
- Reskinning an armor set which is available only through WvW devalues the effort made to obtain the original set—leading to ill-will amongst your customers.
- Jumping the gun on offering skins in the Gem Store with animated-pulsing-glowing armor-effects like this which, instead, could have and should have been considered very rare and very special—and reserved only for “Legendary” quality armor sets, for instance. (Or Legendary Dyes which would apply these various effects to armor dye channels.)
- The effects on some of the armor pieces are quite spectacular looking (for instance, the heavy armor skin with high-contrast dye is awesome), but the overall execution and presentation (reskins, specifically) to customers is what has left me, and apparently many other customers, very miffed and disenchanted.
- This is the first time I have been genuinely turned off by offerings from the Gem Store and I have found myself reticent to consider purchasing gems if, in the future, you continue to have poorly thought through offerings like this available in the gem store in the future.
- In conclusion, please ensure future offerings in the Gem Store do not devalue what your customers can obtain in-game.

Howdy!
I wanted to write a quick post and speak up about what may be a less-represented (but no less valid) facet of the player-base…
- I have one of each profession at level 80.
- I play open world PvE only.
- Movement speed is the single-most important function for how I like to play (romping about and exploring the world of Tyria).
- Lack of passive movement speed (specifically 25%) on Guardian, Engineer, and Mesmer has been frustrating and a deterrent to me playing those classes as much as I desire.
- For me, movement speed is about quality of life for all my characters.
- For me, movement speed it isn’t about combat in PvE or WvW or PvP.
- Power Shoes being changed to out of combat is awesome—I am going to be playing my Engineer so much more because of this change.
- Increasing passive movement speed (25%) for Guardians and Mesmers (via signet or trait) would be a tremendous QoL improvement for those two classes, and I beseech you to please consider this.
You Die, You Learn Faster
ENGINEER
- Power Shoes is going to function outside of combat.
* jaw drops, swoons and faints *
And now, I am going to be playing my Engineer, a lot! This is so awesome!
(Similar regard to Guardian and Mesmer would be very greatly appreciated. )
You Die, You Learn Faster
Arg! * whine *
I deleted and then downloaded the entire Gw2.dat file and, most unfortunately, it did nothing to improve my map loading times.
You Die, You Learn Faster
This happened to me once, on the 17th of Sep (patch day), about an hour or so after updating and playing in game.
I was in game and * POOF! * the computer shut down completely. No warning, no apparent lag, performance, audio or video mishaps beforehand.
This has only happened once, but yeah, it was pretty durn disconcerting!
You Die, You Learn Faster
I remember awhile back that Turbine created a defragger app for their huge LotRO data files. Folks could download it and defrag those specific data files and it really made a difference.
And yes, ANet needs to come up with a solution, ’cuz every two weeks getting stuff added/removed/shuffled about is going to only aggravate this issue more and more over time.
You Die, You Learn Faster
Load times have increased for me by quite a bit. Someone else posted on this issue in this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Map-Loading-Times

HOW TO: Accurately measure map loading times
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Nep Leet.5491
Using this command line, its pretty sobering to see just how much longer the load times have increased on my system recently.
You Die, You Learn Faster
Map loading times have gone up by quite a bit for me. Loading into Lion’s Arch used to take 3-5 seconds, now it takes 17-20 seconds. Other zones which had 2-3 second load times are now taking around 11-14 seconds. The only thing which has changed recently on my system is the game’s own updates.
I followed the information in another post on the Tech Support forum on how to measure map loading times, and the loading of models is what’s taking so very, very long: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/How-to-accurately-measure-map-loading-times
With all video settings at the very lowest, load times are reduced… slightly… but they are still exponentially longer than they ever used to be.
(Running dual SSDs in raid 0.)

(…tries a different approach to get ANet’s attention…)
Hey, ArenaNet!
Did you realize that players can complete the monthly Veteran Slayer achievement in about 2-3 events in Cursed Shore at Shelter’s Gate because of the multitude of Veteran Spider Hatchlings that spawn?
You certainly wouldn’t want that to happen so quickly, now would you?!
(ahem :-P)
You Die, You Learn Faster
Mmmhmmm, this bug is very unpleasant!
I found another thread yesterday discussing this bug, and posted there:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Movement-while-sliding-resets-position
Oh, also found this thread on the Reddit forums:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/1dkhh5/unable_to_activate_skills_as_if_disconnecting_but/
You Die, You Learn Faster
Yep, I’ve been experiencing this issue since the patch, regardless of character and location.
Sliding down, taking falling damage at the bottom, and immediately I rubber-band back up to the starting location and fall down again and take falling damage again. Its a pretty unpleasant experience!
A few times I have not taken falling damage at the bottom (when I should have), and rubber-banded several times before finally taking falling damage and then was able to get out of that awful rubber-banding loop.
The rubber-banding seems to be triggered by attempting to move (run forward, etc.) after landing.
I’ve also noticed a delay sometimes in receiving falling damage (in situations where I don’t rubber-band, like where I jump down from the edge of something but don’t slide down).

I deeply appreciate ArenaNet splitting PvE skills from PvP skills!
I loathe my PvE skills being “adjusted” (read: nerfed) because of PvP.
Separating the PvE skill abilities from the PvP skill abilities ensures that the PvE skills are NOT compromised because of necessary adjustments needing to be made to that skill in PvP (and visa versa).
You Die, You Learn Faster
Yeah… I’ve been grumbling about this very thing recently.
“Retreat!” just seems like such a cowardly exclamation—and very rarely descriptive of its common usage.
And as I said to my friend the other day, if the intent of the exclamation is for it to be cowardly, at the very least ANet could change it to “Run Away!”
A more all-encompassing exclamation could be “Onwards!”
You Die, You Learn Faster
Heh… yeah, I can very much relate to these feelings with my Ranger.
I stopped played my Ranger. When I used to romp around with my Ranger, I made sure to not use the default bear so—gods forbid—I wouldn’t look like all the Ranger bots running around.
Ranger bots are a pariah, for sure—and unfortunately they have negatively impacted some players’ perceptions and reactions towards the Ranger class. :-(

Moderators, please move this thread to the Game Bugs sub-forum.

No matter what they say they are not keeping balance of skills between pve n pvp. Pvp issues are forcing global changes in skills that then effect pve. (They need to wake up like all the other games and consider creating pvp versions of each skill…)
This is a huuuge pet peeve of mine!
Heck, they can even look to their own game, Guild Wars, to see how they separated PvE skills from PvP skills.
