While I see builds other than GS actually working, I will never deny that there is no point in picking any other roamer other than Ele. In fact, I’m even willing to say that Thief and Warrior isn’t viable in competitive play unless you have an Ele. Why the hell do we all have to have an Ele just to do work? The meta right now is pathetic.

Even people are being a bunch of dumb preachers and saying “go play an Ele.”

One of three simple things that should happen at Feb patch:

1.) Nerf everything face-roll into Warrior efficiency.
-Includes getting rid of Time Warp, making Blurred Frenzy a 30 second cool down without the trait, and Ele getting reverted to the old Ele where people refused to L2P and only L2P’d after they got over-buffed. This also means revert Ele down-state.
-Realistically speaking, this isn’t going to happen. So lets move on to the next reasonable thing to happen in the next patch.

2.) Find Equilibrium on Ranger or Guardian efficiency.
-Remove Time Warp from tPVP, bring back the old Moa, something like Ele’s sustain cut in half on self and half on others.
-Or don’t even cut Ele’s sustain in half, make Ride The Lightning a target only skill. Hell even if both Ele sustain and mobility gets cut I bet they would still be a decent class.
-Give Warrior a more accessible Building Momentum, Leg Specialist, and buffed Mobile Strikes.

3.) Make Warrior a broken class at full potential.
-Leave the traits as it is.
-Give Warrior Triple Swap at a 10 second base cool down with a 5 second cool down on Fast Hands.

I’m looking at number 2 and 3. The least ANET can do is find something around number 2. If they can’t figure out how to make something work around number 2, then its official to ask “Why didn’t ANET hire a bunch of monkeys to balanced this game instead of incompetent people who didn’t find the decency to actually see the problems within their game?”

Ranger was “UP” for a while or so the QQ on the forum has lead us to believe.

Ranger is now the strongest Roam/Point Assault IMHO
85%Chance to win 1v1 against any class, including mesmer/thief/Guard ? Check.

People are now starting to realize mesmer isn’t OP as it used to be, QQ has shifted towards Ele/Ranger so the tiers look more like this for me personally;

Ele/Ranger/Guard
Mesmer/Thief/Warrior
Necro/Engi

Mesmer/Thief/Warrior seem to be the ~most~ balanced,
Warrior lacks condi removal though, maybe a little bit of a boost here would be nice It’s still afaik as good a roamer as a mesmer/thief.

Doesn’t fight good Mesmers. Let alone a nobody in tPvP who doesn’t even fight anyone “good.”

If you think Mesmers are fine right now then sorry, they’re not. The ability to use the “I messed up” buttons 24/7 in duels, team fight capability with time-warp, map control with portal is too good for this game’s “standards.” And just because you aren’t good with a Mesmer and can’t see how broken Mesmers are, doesn’t mean they aren’t broken.

Delete Portal and Time Warp from tPvP, get the old Moa Back, nerf distortion, they will still be above average.

Probably the only thing that would make me tolerate this game a little more is Death Match. Because face it. Objectives are a joke due to ANET’s weak thought process in a game mode with “objectives.”

a.) Mesmer

c.) Underhanded tricks such as Time Warp + Mist Form commune with Temple buffs
d.) AND MANY MORE.

Prove me wrong. At this point a bunch of monkeys could’ve made this game better. ANET worked years on a game and they over-look or deny a lot of broken BS when they desired to make this game an e-sport.

Just putting it out there. Because this game’s “competitively play” is a joke compared to e-sports like DOTA2 when it came out.

Simple. Because the skill called Whirling Axe is weak. If they change that to something a little more game changing then maybe.

You mean its weak dmg compared to hundread blades? It got other things going for it like i mentioned in my post above.

Talking about efficiency. Why choose Axe + Axe over GS? Because GS has 5 useful skills while Axe + Axe has three useful skills.

The better question is, why choose Axe + Mace over GS? Axe + Mace opens ways to self-sustained builds even though GS is still more rewarding.

Just another low skill casual who doesn’t know what Long Bow (Berserker Amulet) has over Axe. Get some QPs or play some paids and tell me if going “full melee” with a Warrior is actually THAT forgiving.

You are so low to be writing this…

Let everyone have their own opinion. I’ve seen amazing warriors playing various weapon sets. Just because you disagree doesn’t mean your point of view is the only right one.

And jumping on a completely anonymous player on the forums numerous times, calling him lowskill and asking to get QPs as if they were the only indicator of skill is just pathetic.

Understand that some opinions can be poisonous to balancing, something that I don’t really buy. I do deserve to get shunned for being a jerk, but some people need to be more open minded to “potential and possibilities,” something which these type people lack which aggravates me because bad balancing decisions are the cause of these close-minded statements and arguments.

It leads me to believe that these type of people never think before they act.

As to why I’m being a jerk, if people keep having negative opinions because they are theory crafting and did not even have the decency to seek out potential nor even try to prove that it doesn’t have any worth via videos, then that is BAD feedback on balancing.

TL;DR It would be great if people actually tried and proved builds instead of calling it “not viable” out of the blue.

In WvW, I don’t mind it getting nerfed. But in tPvP? Think again. I’d like to see one Warrior who actually can make Rifle even work in tPvP.

TL;DR Nerf its outside gear scaling, but don’t touch it in tPvP.

The main point is if you can deal sustained DPS whether be it AoE or single target, then you shouldn’t be able to stack HEALING.

Why the hell is double Warrior not cheese but double Ele is? Because a good Ele’s mobility can’t be impaired. Not to mention the HEAL STACKING is ridiculous. Warriors can stack condition cleanse via Warhorn, but Ele’s can be ten folds better simply because they stack BOTH healing and condition removal. Don’t even get me started on the fact that Ele has more reliable DPS due to the fact that THEIR MOBILITY CAN NOT BE IMPAIRED.

Why the hell is double Thief not cheese but double Ele is? Because Thieves are actually vulnerable to AoE, let alone the fact that they don’t AoE better. Ele’s can also trade hits with AoE because they provide AoE AND stack team sustain on top of it.

D/d ele is hard countered by ranged that can apply any of cripple/chill/immob/stun. Stop being bad.

Sorry. Not wasting time on players who don’t fight good Ele’s. Do paids, fight competitive Ele’s, then come back to me. Not everyone is going to play a trap ranger just to counter Ele’s.

I wouldn’t be surprised if people are actually going to defend Ele’s this time. Ele’s were technically fine until ANET buffed them again which boggles me, does ANET really think they’re on the right track?

If you couldn’t stack healing with another Ele that would’ve been fine. But no, you can actually stack. Why should the most mobile class be able to deal sustained DPS and AoE class while being able to stack both heals and condition cleanse with another Ele?

Why? I’m okay with being able to stack ONLY condition removal but to be able to stack both healing and condition removal is overkill. Just putting it out there.

This is the truth of the matter. It is basically close to unplayable and anti-fun if you’re against two equally skilled Ele’s.

As to why I mentioned Chubbsz and Vain as the ones carrying their respective teams? Because they’re the ones baiting out stun breaks and cleansing conditions for the team.

In short, all Axe + GS Warriors do is wait until everyone’s stun breaks are gone AND they Bulls Charge + Frenzy at the end of the dodge when you do force a dodge. They aren’t doing jack if an Ele isn’t there to initiate or babysit for them. Basically, the Ele’s are the ones carrying in both QT and Synergy. You’re telling me these Warriors can self-sustain with Axe + GS? Nope. Why aren’t they switching to a better build then? Because I can name a lot of better builds and I don’t mind showing you in-game

Anyways back on topic, okay sorry. I’m wrong, you’re right. Low skill isn’t the right term. Lets find another term then shall we? How about.. “people who didn’t have the decency to seek out potential.”

And in my attempt to re-rail this topic, the point still stands out, just because these “people didn’t have the decency to seek its potential out” says its not viable, that doesn’t meant it isn’t viable.

In terms of tPvP, not a whoollleee lot.

Hence why most Paid tPvP teams don’t run them.

This. You’ll need to learn another class if you want to play tPvP. Warriors are being phased out by thieves in the burst role (the only role warriors can fill).

Posts like these are really bad, no offense. Remember when everyone asked for Ele buffs? Look at Ele now. Stupidly broken.

If you really have to know the difference between Thief and Warrior, Warrior does better team fight DPS (due to better AoE and just more rewarding if you build around a good one) as a trade-off to having less survivability.

Too bad low skill casuals like you won’t find any sense to this because you would rather whine instead of playing better.

I never said it’s weak. Still the thief and the guard are pve players…Watch the score, no good team do 17 to 200 points…
And every other thief who know whats stealth is will farm you.

Again, you’re a low skill player. Whatever you say does not apply to people who are willing to get better. You honestly think shield makes it better vs. Thieves? If another Warrior can kite Shield Stance via GS so can any other classes.

Take this advice from a higher skilled player. Thief’s incentive to kill is mitigated by AoE’s, pre-fight stability, and predicting. If you don’t know how to put any of those to practice as a Warrior then it doesn’t matter what build you do, you will get wrecked by anything.

"Quickness", what do you think?

I think Quickness should be disabled on sPvP/tPvP.

Don’t need to say much about it, since everyone knows what it does and how it works. As well how we like it on ourself and dislike taking hit by it.

But overall I think this is a boon that should be disabled since it helps instant-high damage builds which are the easier way to not show the skills of players but get easy kills.

You sound new. If you aren’t new then..

You are really simple-minded if you think Quickness should be removed. This is why casual input is often dismissed, its because most casuals including you don’t even try to explore the game more and proceed to cry without evaluating classes that REQUIRE quickness to be effective.

Its like you want EVERYTHING to be handed to you on a silver platter. Pretty sad and pathetic that you don’t even “try to understand.”

If anything the only classes that should ever have quickness is Ranger, Warrior, and Thief. It is a core mechanic on those classes. You don’t just say REMOVE QUICKNESS PLEASE without actually looking at the Warrior or Ranger perspective.

If its an issue with time-warp however, then YES get rid of time-warp.

Do you honestly think people are going to enjoy being a “revive bot” with your idea of reworking the tactics tree?

The OP’s suggestions might need some of it to get toned down but he IS on the right track on reworking the tactics tree.

When you spec for “Tankiness” misleading traits such as revival should just go away because this is NOT an efficient way of making tactics work.

Bleeds are easily re-applied therefore it gets cleansed first due to the last-in, first out system of condition removal/conversion. Understand that bleeds get converted into vigor which is why it looks like its not converting properly but it actually is working as intended.
