Please can you fix the mini map bug, where if you are kicked off the map to your death a few times or fall the mini map is blank from then on until the match is over. So you cant see any of the crystals being pinged, I’ve noticed more and more players using the tactic of KD ppl ofF the map, so that they can mess up the other players minimap. Its gone from a game bug to an exploit. It has been reported to anet 100s of times and yet still not fixed.

To not bother to test this game out before releasing it is one thing, but then to ignore all the bug reports in-game is another. This needs fixing Today!

It’s not gamebreaking or anything, but a couple of times I’ve had it where the minimap on aspect arena ceases to function; instead it becomes a blurred (the way an undiscovered overworld area looks) generic map, though if I drag it it looks as if it’s an undiscovered/fogged version of the queensdale/divinity’s reach region (the icon for caudecus’s manor appears just off the edge).

I think this may be triggered by falling too many times, as it seems that the change occurred on respawning after a fall each time I’ve seen it happen (and I don’t think it’s ever happened after the first fall, though I didn’t count to be sure).

Again, obviously not gamebreaking or anything, though losing the ability to track crystal locations and statuses does put you at a disadvantage for the rest of the round.

Yup I’ve had the same issue and theres no icon to pan back to char view so ur basically stuck with it all match. Also whats up with the instant deaths i keep getting when no ones even around me, theirs a necro symbol on the screen next to my name when this happens but no name. Is this another bug, or is it part of the game?

thanks:) me n my guildies were flipping camps for a while then started BO then took another north tower. then hidden lotus made a golem to solo hills and he got south gate down so we assisted on inner. then the BP karma hounds sniffed us out and joined us and took everything else over along with another guild, whos name escapes me atm. Contrary to the tone of the last few posts, last night in EB was pretty fun. Got to have a pretty good three-way brawl in front of SMC, with all three servers slugging it out in open field fighting. Really fun stuff, and I really appreciate the SoS and FA folks who were there. No siege, no hiding behind walls, just a great force on force on force slugfest!

LOL makes me laugh TC keeps saying they enjoy open field fight, but ONLY when they have superior numbers. Otherwise they will sit in towers and use seige, I didnt see TC do many reg open field fights vs SoR for that reason. You keep claiming u want them yet you continue to only do them when you have the numbers to win the fight with ease. Also double teaming the weaker server every day now shows us you like to contradict what you say.

Point is TC has bigger numbers so you enjoy open fighting without seige bacause u know u will win and have a nice bag farm, no skill (from most of the pugs) just numbers.

To the people from SoS who proceeded to turn around and spike me dead in the arena? Please find something better to do. It took about ten minutes for a small knot of us to begin to question if it was going to stop, then when we did fight back and got to the top about three of you kicked us back down. Two of you waved “all clear” before bombarding me dead on the first chandelier.

I get it. It’s a PvP-allowed zone so you’re entitled to this. There’s rewards at the end including Siege prints, so it’s okay to deny us those.

But I wasn’t attacking you, and at least two others with me were just trying to get to the kite. At least, I didn’t until you made it clear you weren’t going to stop.

So. I’m planning on waiting until I know a mesmer is in the JP doing portals because I’m not going to run into the jaws again. I will, of course, continue to not attack anyone from other servers in the JP proper and identify myself with waving and bowing. Why? Because I ask the same courtesy of you folks.

Sorry about that SoS are normally friendly in JP’s unless attacked first, personally i think if u want to fight u should go back to wvw and leave jp. We have had many truces with other servers in jp, and from what i have seen only been broken on sos part by one guild. I have aired my views to them and the main 3 people from that guild who continue to break truces and help making it harder for all (including sos getting chest). But there will always be people and guilds who will attack people no matter what and you have to expect it from all servers at one point or another.

Yes, I wasnt commanding however i let the commander at the time know my feelings on this one. We lost everything to defend SM which is clearly not worth losing 4 T3 towers and our keep over. After all even if we lost SM which i doubt we would have both CD and SBI would have had a very hard time holding it.

I just hope the commander learns from this and makes better decisions for the week ahead.

Cant let you get away with that Pinko, Mag have been zerg camping the Jp on/off all week. Just a few hours ago there was 15-20 Mag camping it against one or two. So please dont complain when you finally get zerged back, also to point out it was not only mag but [DERP] doing the camping. So I’m guessing you are well aware numbers are everything, hence why you guys are friendly in a small grp but unfriendly when you know numbers are on your side :P

Well tonight was fun. First time commanding on EB and it lasted about 5 hours. Somehow managed to hold SoS off Stonemist for about an hour and a half. Their zerg was twice our size but couldn’t break through somehow.

They’re not breaking any rules by “griefing” in there. It’s a legitimate PvP area.

Not 100% true, they are also jumping onto our WP platform and knocking ppl off. So yes i would agree normal camping is not breaking any rules, but its annoying, other things going on are clearly breaking the rules of intended use. The best we can hope for atm is that enginners can no longer get on our servers platforms + immune buff on our platform and while standing on it.

WRONG! using mes ports in JP’s is NOT exploiting and anet have a number of times stated they are happy with the portals. Thats in JP’s and in towers/keeps (as long as the memser got inside the tower/keep without cheating).

If Anet didnt want portals being used they would A. say its an exploit and B. they would block the port skill in jps like they have with seige.

Can Anet please add immune buff to people who are standing on their WP platform, no idea why we dont have immune buff while on the home WP platform. With 20+ jumping ON your platform and people below it using pulls (memsers, theifs etc) you dont stand a chance. Not sure if anet intended for this to be the case or the buff is missing because of a bug or not. If it was intended please can you rethink that and give us buff while standing on the platform.

Can Anet please stop being cheap on servers for wvw or maybe hold wvw on sep servers. All this week we all have had skill lag etc even when nothing is going on, no zergs and yet 15 fps at best for me personally. On top of that i noticed culling was back in wvw the other day, anet switched culling back on to save money?

Its off again but thats not really the point, if you guys continue to ignore the main wvw players they will soon get fed up and stop playing wvw. I play wvw 80% of the time so if it stays this bad i’m sure you will be losing Lag Wars 2 players from the game.

I think its called a false economy, cheap out on these laggy servers and keep wvw skill lag/ culling issues = lose gamers = lose revenue from gem store.

Yup im getting Networks error, failure to a authenticate account or game client was unable to connect to login server error messages. I can get into GW2 after a few trys only to get disconnected within 3-5mins and have to keep trying again. Its not my connection I checked that everytime this happend, even running YT vids in the background without any buffering or connection issues. I dont know what the engineers fixed but it wasnt the login errors…

Can Anet pls fix auto target in WvW i’ve asked before and still nothing has been changed. Why does auto targeting target WALLs? you cant damage walls without seige so please can you stop players auto targetting walls?

I need to use auto target because it normally helps alot seeing as im using a Laptop, however this autotargeting really needs a fix SOON. Trying to fight theifs near tower and autotarget locks on to wall is dumb. Also their needs to be a auto target priority system added to autotarget feature, so many times its locked on to npc’s instead of the invaders who are stood next to me killing me. Or targeting players miles away even tho they are out of range yet it doesnt target players in front of me and tab doesnt change target.

Gj on fixing the skill 5 run skill distance on people who have been moa’d anet. However this skill still needs a few changes, for example 180 rechange time is too long imo. Currently also it can be dodged and casted even tho the target is out of range which means it doesnt cast on target and the caster has to wait 180sec for it to recharge again. It needs a fix like ‘mirrow images’ does where it wont active unless a target is selected and is in range. Also currently theifs who trait for stealth on falling damage can use this trait stealth even as a moa and on top of that if the theif has stealth available from their steal skill pre moa morphed they can still use that skill to stealth. It only lasts 10 seconds and they could get upto 6 seconds of stealth still as moa with their traits and steal.

These things need to be changed no stealth traits should work while the theif is in Moa form, and F1 (steal) should not be available to them also. That or reduce the moa morph recharge time from 180sec to 90sec pls.

LOL i dont mind losing, well not as much as not standing any chance from the onset, I’ve came from FA also been on CD Ebay etc i’ve had my exp of losing matchups. Ofc its great to finish 1st at the end of a matchup week (we all want that for our servers). But the most fun is in the fights when its 25 vs 70+ there is no fun in playing. We all are prob working on titles as well as trying to win the weeks match up, and again thats currently almost impossible with the numbers issue. Yes ofc i would complain about this current match up being on sos and the server what cant win this week due to the sear numbers against us, BUT honestly even if we had a fairer matchup i still would be against this new matchup system. When you have two t2 servers with 50+ each per bl vs 20-30 you know this is going to last a few weeks before anet admit themselves it just isnt working. And for the t2 servers it will get even more stale and boring and you will be agreeing with me not too long.

But yes we will still put up a fight and hopefully farm FA/TC a few times at least, be a thorn in their sides this week if nothing else, so lube up TC/FA and get ready.

Well s*** common anet, I know we need something more to W3 mixup. T4 server vs two T2 servers dont stand a chance day one we already know how this match up is going to end 1st=TC 2nd =FA 3rd = SoS. Something does need to be done to get more people playing W3 but this new “random” twist on W3 matchups is not gonna work out for the smaller severs. I feel for SBI who dont stand a chance vs DB and Mag, not sure what else Anet can do, but this system just doesnt work to make it more fun for sure.

You’re right you can’t. So why even post about it at all? It’s flogging a dead horse that’s been killed and revived by a necromancer fifty billion times.

Be intresting to know what server you are from but i think i can guess. But the point is yes it happens but today alone its happend twice on our BL alone, again just now as well (that i know of). We need to be complaining and reporting the cheaters more often, alot of people dont bother with the reporting and thats half the problem. Just saying it happens lets get over it wont fix the problem. For SoS as a server we not going to lose this match because of it, but thats not to say we shouldnt keep bring the topic up.

Would you report the offenders more if it was happening against your server?

Simply put we should be working together to watch out for these “players” and report them if we see them. The fun is really been taken out of wvw the last two weeks for alot of people tho that wont stop me playing.

Ok is the new despawn times a bug or secret nerf to timers? I noticed anet dont say they changed all seige despawn times to 30mins. Before golems/trebs lasted 30mins unmanned ac’s lasted 3hrs+ and rams lasted forever.

Those of us who do spend alot of gold of seige all week have lost the chance to put down ac (or other seige) as defence if a tower and keep is attacked, and be able to go defending the rest of the map without the seige despawning in the mean time. Why has anet made it so ALL seige despawns if unmanned for 30mins and not how it was before? Eg golems and trebs despawned faster than catas or ac’s before. I know AC’s have gotten better if people pick to upgrade their rank and abilities but they are getting a nerf on the 28th, and 30mins is still to short a time before they despawn.

Please please please Anet change the seige timers to the fairer ones they were before.

Could we receive a little more detail about the specific hack / cheat that people are using to get into buildings and how to identify it so that it can be reported? I’m not sure how to tell the difference between lag / speed hacks, and rezzing through a door or whatever seems like an issue that can be circumvented / prevented with appropriate preparation.

What is this “glitch” people are talking about with keeps? It’s obviously not a mesmer portal or something, because that would make it legitimate, right?

Or SoS could just leave the tier already so they can stop making excuses about why their Oceanic domination isn’t winning them enough points to move already… or we could keep crying about hacks, bots, and exploits on the forum instead of actually playing the game and just /reporting issues we see.

Sadly Anet will delete any post from people who post exploit info on here and they risk THEIR account if they share it on here or in-game. Even talking about people exploiting eg who, when, where is grounds for post removal by devs and warnings given out. Any exploiters caught should be directed to exploits@arenanet.com with all the info you can get. Even asking for info about current exploits is risky to your account.

Hardcore WvWers means those that spend 80%+ of their total playtime in WvW. They spend less than 20% of their time doing PvE or sPvP.

My question is why would a hardcore WvWer stay in tier 4 or below? Wouldn’t you want to hang out with other hardcore WvWers? Wouldn’t you want to play alongside organized guilds with better tactics? Wouldn’t you want better coverage? Wouldn’t you want tougher competition?

If friendship is important, and that’s the only reason to stay, why not just transfer as a server? Instead of a guild transfer, just get all the hardcore WvWer in a server (regardless of guild) to all transfer at the same time. It is the friendship that’s important, not the server.

If money is a problem (common problem for a WvWer), you can start running dungeons and killing PvE bosses. Even playing casually you should make enough to transfer within a month at most.

If you play that much WvW, I personally see very little reason to stay in tier 4 or below. So enlighten me.

Why xfer to T4 or below? I came to SoS from FA for a few reasons, one of which is i dont want to wait an hour+ to get into wvw on reset night. More people does not mean a better server overall i wait less to get on maps, we’re still winning week after week so still get the better wvw bonuses and smaller numbers means we’re less zergy and more organised. IMO our new players are learning faster then new players in the higher servers, and we become a stronger server because of it.
