As before … my net issues resolved itself somehow. I can play again. But why in the world do i have to wait 3-5 days after update to get net working again.

I’d rather give up on Gw2 than throwing 200 euros on new processor. For now i just avoid zergs with +40 ppl.
Who would thought that they programmed it so poorly.

Other thing. I got I52500k,8 Gram, gtx560TI.Do i really have to play on low details to not get crash so often ??

As for crashes i kinda fixed that. (If it’s the same problem as i had). I tried various graphic setting inside game and nothing worked. I was getting driver fail/recover message and then game just minimized and i had to kill process. I have Radeon 7770 and problem was that (factory settings) graphic clock was too high and since gw2 will use 100% graphic load over time card would overheat and driver would fail. So i used MSI Afterburner to downlock and increase power supply and fan response. Haven’t had problems since then.

But this connection issue is mind numbing. I haven’t had an online game that can shut off my entire net connection till now.

Just don’t bother. Same thing after every update. Just hope it resolves itself somehow after a week as it did before. I wrote to support again attaching gameadvisor, speccy and pingplotter report. They said to contact my ISP because packet loss is happening when i run GW. I gave up dealing with them cause i’m tired of saying this happens only with gw, only after updates and that it shuts off my entire net connection.
I am not contacting ISP to tell them that single application is shutting down my net and everything else is working fine. They will just tell me to contact anet support.

Update:
Gw2 has started killing my net today again. Combine that with black screens and this game is unplayable.

Edit: I’ve submitted a ticket. You should really put sticky on forum that error 7 is common issue in Europe and that you are aware and currently working on it. It beats digging through hundreds of user posts to look for answer.

Update :
I’ve formatted whole system , installed fresh one, downloaded fresh gw2 (in case .dat file was corrupted. Updated ALL drivers! I’ve downloaded beta catalyst version of video drivers.
And connection problem seems to got fixed somehow. Don’t know how and i don’t care.

Now i have new problem, constant annoying random black screens with sound. It happens during gameplay, back screen pops up and after 5-10 second it disappears and game continues.

I’ve read on forums that this is router problem. Kinda sucks for me cause i’m not sure where should i stick my USB HSPA net.

The amount of time i’ve spent looking for solution and trying to fix is ridiculous. It has come to the point where this game is starting to kitten me off seriously. The worst thing is that i actually pulled out of closet my 5-6 year old computer with windows xp, i had to borrow old monitor from friend because gpu didn’t have DVI slot … and game ran without problems. I couldn’t play it on high settings though.

Here’s log after fresh install:

I’ve been having problems with multiple graphic errors and game disconnecting.
Graphic error are following:
-Ones that just generate serious graphic error with option to send report (attachment included)

- Graphic errors that minimize Gw2 making me unable to play (but hearing sound) which require either kill process in task manager or sometimes (but less common) hard reset when whole system freezes.

-Graphic errors that makes gw2 minimize itself with message that pops in tray saying something along the lines “AMD Radeon driver has crashed and successfully repaired itself” after which i just maximize windows and continue to play game normally.

Most graphic errors i saw were in Arah story. I’ve updated graphic drivers and it doesn’t make any difference. I’ve tried various graphic settings within game, still no difference.

Disconnecting : The only game i’m having disconnect issues is GW2. Every other online game works flawlessly.
In this particular case when i start gw2 after 10 seconds of game i lose internet connection. It’s the first time i see a game can kill whole connection making me unable to use other services. After a minute or 2 connection repairs itself. Gw2 shows error 7:11:3:189:101 naturally, making the client restart because i timed out. Then when i log in again the whole cycle continues.

I was able to play just fine before October 1st patch. After that it’s impossible to play.
Even after the major patch that was before this one i was having the same issue but somehow it resolved itself over a few days.

I’ve tried usual things (disabling firewall, av, spybot, switching usb net (HSPA) into different usb slots), reinstalling connection software (Telenor). Nothing helps.
I can’t call ISP provider cause only connection issue i’m having is with gw.

I did fresh new installation and still no change.
It has come to the point thats IMPOSSIBLE to play gw2. It was fine before. Few graphic errors were tolerable.

Welcome to the club mate. There is a thread with 700++ replies with people having the same issue. The worst thing is no one has any idea why it happens. There are many “solutions” some of which are reported to work for some people. According to anet it’s on our end and we should contact ISP , which again is kinda silly considering we have to say " everything is working fine xcept one piece of software which makes whole connection go down"
In future you will notice that this sometimes resolves itself (again no one has idea why). You can expect this disconnects after every patch.
I currently can’t play for more that 10 seconds before error 7 (what really happens is that whole net connection goes down and it reconnects itself after few minutes and so on, and so on)

Yesterday everything was fine. Then error 7 started dropping me AGAIN today. I can’t stay logged in for more than 2 minutes. The gw2 kill connection completely i can’t use any other services, then gets recconected after 3-4 min then i can play for 2 min and so on. If i shut down gw2 moments after i get error 7 the connection will restore itself faster. It’s not on our end for gods sake.

Edit : Disconnecting so frequently has stopped now. At least for me. Before it was dc every 2-3 min before it reconnected. Now rarely.

For the sixth time it kicks me at cinematic scene where that guy is trying to save that girl from that lich in 2nd form. It’ not like in other cases where game stomps progress(which can be avoided by not attacking lich) i actually get error every time and client needs to shut down.

But EVERY time the following error appears “Gw2 has encountered a serious graphic error and it needs to shut down” something like that. It’s a hell of a long mission and i also have some complaint about it’s balance. Why is the very start of the game, where you defend that camp, so frustrating unlike other parts. You have bunch of redneck peasants (Risen farmers i believe) who will shovel yourkitten to daze and kd keeping you on the ground as much as possible. They are not hard, they will die anyway , they are major annoyance and they are many of them. They chase me and refuse to break aggro and i don’t have that much endurance to avoid them. I would use stability skill but 60-90 sec recharge? lol no. Unlike that Champion Knight (flying thing), assault with tank and that boss who changes form are breeze.

As for cinematics , either fix or make option to skip it.

This is becoming ridiculous. Now gw2 is forcing dc every 5 minutes for 2-3 minutes.
At least give us suggestion what we might try to fix problem (if it’s fixable on our end)

I can confirm this. I have quad core phenom and radeon 7700.
Sometimes (not always) there is a baloon message saying something like " graphic driver has crashed and it was successfully repaired itself"

I have the same issue as him.

Have the same issue where gw2 causes random disconnects and then it reconnects after 3-4 minutes. It is not on my side. Everything else is working fine. The connections is stable when playing other games. Issue appears only with gw2. It is unplayable.
