Here we discuss (again) recent introduction of living world content in WvW. Hopefully this thread will stay so keep it civilised .

Personally i think LV content is interfering with lore here. WvW is supposed to be in the mists. A very separate universe.

If we follow this line, any current events in living world should not have any impact in the mists.
Second problem is placement of LV events in EB map. Those events interfere with mercenary camps.
Third : it encourages people to do pve content in wvw therefore doing damage to their server during the league. This is because mobs in these events in w3 are lvl 80 and lootwise it’s more convenient to do these events here (for achievement). It might also cause even longer queue times.

On a totally different note, I have to say that fighting as an engineer against melee trains is so much fun from even on top of a rock, or just dodge roll twice then it’s free damage!

It’s not the melee train that kills, it’s the combined spike from backline. It takes effort to stop good melee train and it takes A LOT of effort to efficiently drive one.
As for your post before :
Outside of prime time there are many opportunities for you to tag up, use the TS channel and command your desired game play. You’ll get to drive 30 man zerg most of the time.
Ask them to join you on TS. Most of the people on TS will be from w3 guilds and will know how to fight. Up to you to coordinate them and shape the borderland.

Take initiative outside of forum posting. Forum posting is easy mode.

We dont care about points and rankings.. so this is a horrible matchup for us.

We? Who’s we? A lot of Gandarans care about points and rankings. Sure, if you just go by this matchup thread, you’d be forgiven for thinking that we’re all about the fights, and fun fights are nice, but they are incidental to the main purpose of the game: scoring points.

A recent horrible matchup for me was Underworld/Rof. Guild groups maybe had a good time but the rest of us did not.

Same here for aethers. But what i did notice in pavilion is that altho DR hits junk items, rares and bags , the drop rate of T6 was not affected that much. They kept dropping no matter how long farm lasted (i’m talking about claws here). I’m unsure if that has to do with high magic farm or they are exempt from DR.

Dat golem rush at 4 in the morning. You needed to secure points but like i’m gonna make that easy like with BB.

They won’t changed requirement to platinum ones. You need to make Vial of Quicksilver, not quickplatinum.

I need 250 of them. Unfarmable and 5% chance on Forge (according to wiki). They drop from “packages” but it’s not specified which ones.
There are 500 of them on TP and i need half of those.

What kind of packages?
Where to farm those packages?
Is there anything else i can do beside buying off TP?

There is an awkward stareoff in SM between JS, BB and Gandalf due to sheer amount skill lag.

We where on EB around 9-10 o’clock with 15-20 of slay and we wiped the gandara zerg (25-30) guys.
We switch to all borders aswell.
If you guys don’t have the men power on your borderland, then thats your problem.
So we aren’t affraid of any1 and aren’t walking away from any fights aswell.
We have many players in slay who play’s long and make late hours.
You just jealous that you guys don’t have such a guild on late.

Still couldn’t take Durios until i left for Klovan. Couldn’t fight you cause 70% of zerg is undisciplined and hard to control over chat alone not to mention rallying. Don’t brag about wiping scaled and reckless people.

But i’m hoping i’ll meet you again with Yaks like night before. You didn’t walked away from fight but then again…you didn’t see us coming couple of times.

4 omegas and 30-40 at our inner, at 4-5 in the morning. It’s weekend so we are awake, but don’t worry you can pvd freely during the week at your night shifts. Thanks for bags.

Please have a second look at this event. Something is wrong. We can’t finish it and we tried 5-6 times.

Morale drops to 50% in first minute, i am not sure how NPCs die. Then after minute or two only 1 character stands alive (Charr one) and morale meter is on 5% and that goes on for good 10 min until we get to temple. Then it just fails by sheer amount of risen. We have huge amount of DPS. Risen melt. We heal NPC. But it can not be done, he somehow dies and i can’t even see what hits him. With new changes it’s either bugged or waaaaay too hard to finish.

A Suggestion :
-Make these part of maps same as ogre/hylek/dredge camps in EB. These corners of map have potential for ganking and guild fighting. Yet they are very desolate (part from randoms going to JP puzzle). Making them give capture points will draw more gameplay into these corners of map. There is still a matter of capture point balance, but i guess that can be figured out.

Gandara focused us really hard, it’s just our reaction: hunting all the gandara players to be 1v1 against Riverside, because you’re annoying.

Unplayable, bloody unplayable game. 50-60 RS at mendons (+ same numbers of our zerg). Even autoattack skills won’t work. Ridiculous game play. Cast aoe after 5 sec and hope someone walks in and dies. Takes 5 sec to enter portal door at fort. Split people. It’s not carved in the stone that there has to be one cmd with one zergcrap in map.

Fun fact : When you jump from lets say Hills to down below… the AM/RS blob of 40+ that’s chasing you ,looks like Niagara falls (comment by one of XxX guys). Wish i recorded that moment. Quite a sight to see.

There is no fun and challenge fighting against AM. We were farming you in front of durios until 2h in the morning. Farming, not fighting. You had numbers on your side. After few tries, you did not dare to leave safety of siege range even tho we had 3 walls down in SM and no carts nor balistas. You did not dare to move until we got outmanned in 3h in the morning. Then you rushed to lords room with 30 ppl and took it.
Try not to hug towers that much.

This problem is my side and i contacted my ISP and still waiting for response. But i figured it won’t hurt to check with you since it’s messing with my gw2 play.

I have issue with DC-HSPA+ connection downgrading to UMTS when packets of data are less than 1000 bytes. Every time connection switches there is short disconnect. UMTS has horrible latency. If packets of data go up then DC-HSPA is back along with short disconnect. This rarely happens with gw cause i guess it sends larger packets but it happens. Dota 2 on the other hand is impossible to play because it has smaller packets with occasional spikes. This is frustrating as connection type goes back and forth making it useless.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.
I’ll post some screenshots of pinging to google with different size of data for you to see what’s actually going on.

But i missed opportunity to ask one more question before you closed the thread.

How do report and click the person controlling the ac in zerg of 20 or more (They stack up to counter 5 aoe target limit and to create domes around ac).
What if i report wrong person? Also there is a problem going near ac fire, aoe fire and general zerg damage just to see the person using ac.

Just witnessed arrow cart built just below Durios post, near wall, shooting at arrow cart build on top of supply camp. It’s not possible unless using some view assistance.

They shouldn’t. Traits are not supposed to have negative feedbacks.

Well the engineer traits got fixed in last patch. This was ignored. Or they are not aware.

As title says. Two of them are always contested, I don’t mind running from north WP but i need south ones for karka farm (vial of blood).

I’ve been having hard times with them in w3. I can easily kill 1 on 1 every class (no exaggeration) xcept thiefs. At best i bring them down 10% hp and they just stealth (sometimes bow blink to run away). At this point i don’t know what to do. I unleash aoe in hopes they are close and that it will hit them. But they just heal up and resume hunting me.
Hence i could equip skills and set traits that counters them completely but you don’t walk w3 borders with solo builds.

What’s the tactics when dealing with them. What to do when they kitten out , heal up and resume fighting constantly?

Just as i finished post above, thief managed to get past the door.
He said " Guys i made it."
We were all excited. He ran towards the center of room and did something. We got rewards and tokens. We were happy saying things like “Yay” and “Good job”.
When euphoria wore off a bit … we asked him " What do you see?"

There is a reason that it’s called rifle. Did you ever shot from rifle holding it near your eyeball?

It has been 2 months of gameplay now and i still can’t get used to gw2 chat box.
I’m in some desperate need of “Lock chat settings” button. I’d like chat box to be more like the one in gw1.

The tabbing between chats ,responding and filtering is nightmare. I can’t count the time i’ve responded in wrong chat. Need to get rid of that X button at chat name so i don’t accidentally delete it for god knows what time.

Please take this in consideration.
