There is a problem, a game breaking 1. Good wvwers are quitting the game, and what do we get? An arrowcart buff and ranks.

Its can be so easy. Ask 10-15 hardcore wvw guild leaders about their thoughts about wvw before you change stuff.

Guardians can live a long time yes, but a warrior can tear a zerg down. So can a necro using well bombs and death shroud aoe for 20+k dmg in seconds + AOE vulnerability stacks so maybe you should try fighting some real players.

I agree on the necro part. But if you fight 20 vs 20 (or 25 vs 30) the team with 10 decent guards wins. All those boons + a decent amount of damage wins over raw damage imo.
It just depends who is playing the guards.

2 necros have the power to make 10 warriors useless.
But i love the banners of the warriors.

i don’t dissagree but sorry mate i would never place necro above ele, or heavy armored classes. If u look at wvw like on random running, joining zergs, then you can easily choice any class. But if you feel like you wanna more team play, you just can’t forget about guards, eles or warriors. Direct damage is simply better than conditions, because you can always pull em off.

You do realise that there are other builds then conditions on a necro?
I only see people naming necros overhere in the ranged/condition style. They can do so much more then that. Think a little out of the box.

You can aoe for 18k with 1 skill/aoe blinds/CCs/Plague/boon removal and you have deathshroud+ highest healthpool ingame.

This is to inform you that as of yesterday, Golden Horde began the process of transferring to Piken Square.

I just want to say a couple of things to avoid any rumors and misunderstanding.

This transfer doesn’t have anything to do with the state of Deso’s WvW community (which is great) and is not a result of any internal drama. You may have noticed that GH almost disappeared from WvW scene not so long ago. It was a result of frustration/loss of interest in WvW as it is now mainly because of skill delay which for us became constant reality due to the fact that blobbing is the thing of the day. But blobbing itself doesn’t bother most of us. Constant skill delay however just kills this game for us.

After several weeks of WvW anabiosis, “waiting for better” and research regarding the state of WvW on other servers in lower tiers, we finally made this hard decision to leave Deso for as long as it would take Anet to find a fix to skill delays.

Deso, we love you. But we cannot stay together atm. Because if we did, there would be no GH as we know it pretty soon. (sad smile).

P.S. I know I was posting earlier that skill delay doesn’t bother me personally that much. But that’s me and then there’s a limit. If it constant, it becomes just ridiculous.

This make me sad. Really sad.

Between 8 bst and 10 bst iron wasnt. Maybe with all other people on the map but we where splitted between BL. When i made the BvB picture we just rejoined. And at that moment we werent outnumbering you.

The only reason why IRON is on sfr bl is that we hate bay side, keep trebbing from garri, and on deso bl, we get double teamed all the time.

I have been begging wrex/offski for sfr bl for weeks. (and ty for the other deso guilds to let us play there.)

And if may say so, i hope we keep playing there all the time. You gotta love a t3 hills in primetime.

SFR BL is a perfect example of why we don’t need idiots, one guild killing veteran archers while we are fighting the deso blob, no queues on SFR at all today. Good thing we have this matchup over because next week will be interesting.

But the funny thing is, when we are getting owned sfr comments : “we got better players/guilds/tactics”.

Zerg/blobbing/outnumberd/no real guilds/ guild team only/ pvd / Main noire/ whatever.

Yes the match is getting more & more balanced. SFR progressively going down, still strong atm, Deso progressively going up, VZ progressively recovering with some nice guilds entries. The best thing for T1 is that now the match is not done on tuesdays, which was to me the worst for WvW. And being a challenger is more exciting than getting double focused, SFR gonna face it as Deso will just go to T2 is they keep playing the SFR game.

I agree about its getting (a little ) balanced. Deso is still nr 3 in T1.
We are start working more together and its nice to see some results from it.

But Deso going to T2? I dont see that happen in a while tbh. Elona is ticking 495 point atm and still isnt close to us.

And deso is playing the SFR game? Lol ask the people in Sfr bl last evening.

Get Deso 2nd and get Viz out of t1 and then we very well might do it :p in order to fight the guilds that are on SFR. For now Sacrx is still roleplaying on his epic quest for gold medals and defeating Vizunah :p.

On another note queues on SFR are also like 5-15 minutes when one person tries to get into a borderland. The ridiculous 30-90 minute queues is when an entire guild tries to get into a zone. So when you speak of those short queues on Deso is it for one person or an entire guild?

We can swap borders with 20-30 Irons in primetime without trouble. Not to EB. 1 BL is most of the time empty.

So against SFR coverage/timezones and VS tactics/offtimes how do we get first/second?

Please please I hope people don’t transfer to SFR for WvW unless they play between 02:00-16:00 GMT. The server may not have very high population overal but European primetime WvW queues are sometimes already ridiculous (Been in one for 45 minutes on Monday from 19:00 GMT).

Also the wvw update will help you Prepare SFR, you wil get qeued to death.

Just to all the IRON ppl who are complaining about lagging, no offense but it’s you causing the lag. Having 60v60 fights in this game is impossible it causes skill delay, it’s just 1 spam which is why most guilds prefer to run in 20-40 ppl max and try not to concentrate the entire zone in one position on one commander. If you do concentrate all the zone on one commander the only efficient response from the other server IF they want to defend objectives from you is to do the same thing. this causes these huge unplayable 60-90v60-90 lagfests.

I would advise you to run multiple zones/raids don’t run as large numbers if you want to avoid lag. I guess you are already doing that though… what a HUGE guild :p

Did you ever realise that we have a max qeue of 5 min on 1 or 2 bl in primetime?
Lets split up on 3 borders and let 15 IRON fight there vs T3 keeps and towers and 2-4 guild teams?

We got wooden towers and keeps, why even bother to defend? If vz or sfr need 50 people you can get there within 2 min. and facerub the gate down. Dont start talking about tactics…. Its easy talking with a kittenload of guilds on your server.

@ the BG commander, its nice to see your commander buff ingame. I now know why you qq so much vs IRON on the forums. You get killed within 20 sec everytime we fight. Go Go commander hunters

we (SFR) do all the fighting, and VS can sit in the castles we conquer and siege them up to the hilt. JQ etc. wouldn’t stand a chance. Not forgetting all the Deso thieves to scout for us.

VZ is a fair opponent in my view. I wish i could see a Desolation that is fighting sometimes against VZ instead only against us and fall in our back and cover VZ towers. Only VZ have the courage to attack routinely both enemys.

SFR are talking the whole week about getting Vizu.

If you have that numbers in EU afternoon… Get vizu not deso if you want to be nr1.
But sure, we will fight. And vizu keep capping while we fight.

And about numbers now. I counted 42 iron in TS. We got people guarding, supply capping and scouting. And we where running with 2 groups.
But what do you expect? ZD OPT and RG after IRON… Hmmz let split up?

About the gvg. Im not the 1 in IRON who say yes. But im hoping for it.

1. Vizu introducing new tactics. And tbh… in a 3 way fight you can expect these things.

2. I (!!!!) would like 2 see SFR in T1. Just because they can put pressure on Vizu, with Elona in T1 ( not trakittenalking you, you are great on holidays) that isnt gonna happen.
So if we come close to VIZU only 1 they need to focus is us. Because Elona doesnt have the power to go for the nr1 spot.

3. Makes me a little sad to see that Elona is Vizus lapdog, you guys dont need that. Just makes your server look… sad?

Its gonna be some interesting weeks in T1 EU.

1- Vizu never comes with 2/3 golems. Never saw that, most of the times its at least 7-8.
Hills was taken within 3 minutes yesterday, full upgraded.

2. I didnt tell you how much i thought you play vs Vizu. I only reacted because you made it sound like you are the only 1 thinking about those options. But you have a valid point about organizing.

3. Thing is, they have a huge gap where they can easy upgrade all their towers and keeps and siege that up. If they are fighting vs 2 servers with different timeszones things get way harder for them. Elona and Deso have the same strong hours.

This beeing said, there are 2 sides we can assume:

1- Be happy with 2nd place and ask ArenaNet to incentive more the open fight (which wouldn´t be bad);
2- Adapt, get organized and take advantage of our stronger fighting and combine it with smart sieging.

Ah, you sound like a very smart sfr guy. We on Deso would love to go for point 2.
But please tell me how to stop 40 vs zerglings + a kittenload of golems in the morning when there is NOONE to fight because we are all working/school.

Its easy to defend a t3 keep if you have 5-10 people. But often there are 1-2.
