Never thought id see the day when i say SoS need some NA transfers. Filling 2 of 4 maps (sun-thurs) just wont cut it against the numbers jq and bg are putting out now.

SoS definitely still has the advantage in numbers and coverage.

Oh no, a 2 hour area where you’re outnumbered, that must compensate for the other 22 hours of course.

Oh and you’re not actually even outnumbered then.

It’s just that at that time while JQ and BG have people running around various borderlands, taking stuff, SoS has 100+ people sitting inside the jump puzzle in EB.

Your attempt at scaring off potential transfers is commendable, but the fact is we have 1 asia guild, 1 euro guild, and are outnumbered in NA by 1.5 maps worth of players. We do have a slight edge in Oceanic i will agree that, though we did take a 5k hit in Oceanic last night.
Hopefully we can get a few more across to euro and NA so the games stay competitive.

Don’t get trapped there with 2 days of free transfers remaining! With all servers at Very High, it is the perfect opportunity to move your guild.

We at Sea of Sorrows are welcoming NA guilds to join us folks in tier 1. After the mass influx of transfers to both JQ and BG, we find ourselves outnumbered and in need of more NA support to keep as even a playing field as possible.

“What about the Queues?”
No problem! We only ever have 2 maps full (bar reset night) and often have 1 outmanned map, so there is plenty of room for your guild to play as a whole in the most exciting tier of World v World.

“Im not sure we want to join the top server”
Aha, well this certainly is not the case anymore, i would actually say SoS is the #3 ranked server in reality as it stands.

“What if i cant get my whole guild across?”
No problem! All servers are sitting at Very High so its the perfect chance to make that last minute move before you get trapped on your current server.

I would be highly upset and looking elsewhere to play. Nobody except a certain handful want to play that way.
I absolutely agree that JQ needed a couple more guilds, they got it with PRX and SF. The match was real tight ppt’s and fair battles at that point, until the other 10 guilds came across. This is NA zone btw not Oceanic, i agree JQ need a couple of guilds there.
Nobody who enjoys competitive PvP wants washouts, no matter which side you’re playing on. Only cowards want it.

SoS was never stacked btw. Example yesterday we jumped to an outmanned (yes outmanned) BG map, captured bay there. 100 JQ come rushing across the map to make it blue. We insta port (yes instant, no queue) to JQ map and start to attack hills to assist Tsym against the 150 JQs who were split between bay hills and crag. After that, we go back to SoS map which had a 5 minute queue to fend off the 150 JQ’s there.

Thats far from stacked, and its overkill on the recruiting.

Anyhoo good luck in this next weeks game, im hoping we can get a few more guilds across to help against your numbers.

How am i wrong? The mass recruit happened, a minimum of 7 large WvW guilds poured in and is stopping SoS from retaking what JQ take in euro hours.
Next week it wont be so easy to cap everything when MERC etc go to bed.

Sadly we’re missing a fair few players at the moment. Sure, we can do stuff with 15, but we’re struggling because some are unable to transfer. Hopefully you’ll get a chance to see us running with close to full effectiveness sometime this week.

Still not sure why you moved to JQ if you guys truly love the fight, as most of the pop in that timezone is on JQ. Its almost like you chose to pvdoor and fight HB.
If its fights you were after, youd have either moved to sos or somewhere to go fight war machine.

HB are the new PRX in terms of massive numbers steamrolling through you the way they do with culling.
PRX are not a shadow of what they used to be. Still solid, but nowhere near what they used to be before the euro move.
And if HB come saying they only run 20 people (and i mean on the field not your guild alone) im calling shenanigans on that, its a minimum of 30+ always :P

The only time we have 30+ on is at reset, and then we always try to have atleast 1 5 man group seperated from the rest. Also we run without commander icon most of the time to avoid pugs following us. We usually field 20-25, and late night we only field around 15.

Good fights tonight Agg. I guess you took some revenge. It was to bad we got into BG bl that late, and even we couldnt get all of our 18 guys inside BG bl. Think we still had 4 in q when we decided to call it at 6 am here. Even with the backup of a few pugs, we just didnt have the numbers to take you head on. Gonna try and meet you guys again tomorrow. Hopefully we´ll meet you sooner when we still have some numbers on to face you

We had 15 out and put it this way you had twice as many minimum. Not saying it was all HB, but thats the main tags we saw, and if youre all running together then you cant turn around and say it was 18.

Im not hostile. I was excited when prx moved to JQ as i knew it would be a tight as hell game.
SF on the other hand, yeah. May have just tipped the scale a bit too much instead of bolstering Blackgate and making it a great 3 way.

We have outmanned buff on 3 of 4 maps from around 6am central until around 3pm central.
This is why SoS need euro’s, because with all the bandwagons to JQ in NA timezone they may now have the stronger NA aswell as the stronger daytime.

lol yeah SF bandwaggoned onto the prx train. If they truly wanted a competitive t1 they would have joined BG. Totally lost respect for their guild.

Just to clarify and put your lies to bed, from 7am Central until around 3pm Central, SoS had zero coverage. None. Nada. Zilch. I know this because i play these hours daily.
JQ have the likes of FOO and that other asian guild, Blackgate have Nine Dragons, Thai, and then a couple hours later the HB zerg and this deys alliance of europe or whatever its called along with JQ’s euro’s.

Go do the math, thats hundreds of people against a handful of daytime NA stragglers on SoS. We are just lucky the decided to fight each other a lot and not totally wipe us off every map.
THAT’S why SoS are recruiting SEA/EU coverage. We can not risk going +50ppt for 8 hours a day if we want to remain competitive, and its to the point where burnout is approaching for the australians playing until the early hours of the morning to cover the first few hours of this deadzone.

I see you are an oceanic player. Yes we have superior oceanic numbers. But we are not recruiting oceanic players, and im sorry you keep getting owned by our lovely oceanics.

To any Euro’s considering our server, its a fantastic place to play. The friendship and teamwork throughout the server is second to none, and im sure you will find a really great home on Sea of Sorrows aswell as a large amount of enemies to keep your badges rolling in (and ranks going up when its implemented)

JQ have euro. BG have euro. SoS have none. If you want to fight other euro on your vacation, go to SoS and youll have plenty red names to roll over.

Won’t it be PvDoor for SoS when the other servers lack coverage? I’m pretty sure JQ has little to no Oceanic presence, good NA presence, not sure on Asian or Euro presence (correct me if I’m wrong). I can’t comment on BG, since I don’t know their spread. FOO is JQ IIRC.

As it stood, SoS had zero presence at these hours. We would literally go to +50 ppt unless MERC etc played until 3am.
Both BG and JQ have solid coverage at these hours with FOO, Thai, and Nine Dragons. Now we’ve gave them something from SoS to fight against too.

For the love of PvP, its a great move. Anyone with sense will see that.
Now its upto JQ to get some NA guilds in if they feel theyre outmanned in those hours, just like i did with our SEA zone.

p.s. – SoS do not have queues in NA timezone except EB. This whole numbers thing is a myth, we just work well together.

Ox of [Agg] told me they only field about 35 at peak time. Not sure about Coron’s [tsym] numbers[maybe 40?], those are the 2 biggest NA pops on SoS.

also FoE field 40+ at reset and 10+ in daytimes, 25+ nightly

I kind of agree with this as it shows a sign of weakness when a guild of such size and apparent skill has to pick an already stacked and competitive t1 server as a new home. Where is the challenge in that? Thats why i doubt they will choose BG but instead look to T3 a place they can call their own and make a difference.

Players repping PRX have been spotted fighting for Blackgate. Will be interesting to see the status Quo change if they were to Transfer to Blackgate from Seafarers Rest. From a Sos Perspective I sincerely hope that’s not the case.

Blackgate would be a bad choice for PRX. Being a former member, they would have to contest already capped queues and have to put up with all the bads. Their record would get shot to bits and they would get frustrated at not being able to run like they usually do in numbers. They just have a few stragglers playing NA who lagged too much on euro.
There’s far better server choices for them if they decided to move.

JQ are doomed to 3rd place thats clear, now the question is who can nail the most points… ND and Thai vs door (zero sos at these hours) or SoS’ superior NA guilds.
The oceanics are pretty close but i think SoS have the edge there very slightly.

SoS just took the lead holding a steady 310-340 all night, lets see how far they can pull ahead before the asian/euro v door starts.
