I see we’re in the lead at the moment, but we were still leading at this point last week and then we got poo’d upon Hopefully we can keep it up.

There’s been a fair amount of whining in our (SF’s) map chats about how we’re losing and we’re “not up to the challenge”… For one, I think that kind of defeatist talking needs to stop. And 2, BOO HOO! We stomped kids in T8 for like 4 months straight, we rolled through T7 with 3 straight wins, and now we’re actually not rolling over ppl effortlessly and our ppl start to whine? It’s WEEK ONE of this matchup… calm down! We’re not used to a challenge so we need to adapt.

Personally, this has been one of the most fun weeks of WvW that I’ve played in a while, simply because of the challenge. I don’t get too involved with the politics of our server’s big guilds, but as I understand it some of those big guilds had some sort of disagreement or something, resulting in one of our best guilds effectively “sitting out” this week. I’m not sure whether or not that has anything do with our losing this week, but regardless I think our server needs to get past all the whining and drama and get back to being the focused, united team that we were the last few months in our rise from the depths of mediocrity.

Whatever the outcome is this week, I’m glad we’re in this tier now and I think we’ve found a good challenge. Whether or not we can rise to that challenge lies with us as a united server, so we’ll see what happens in the days and weeks to come…

Yes Battleboat was amazing, and last night overall was quite fun. It was like an epic battle to retake our BL. DH can put up some insane numbers, so for a while it seemed a bit overwhelming. That just made it that much more exciting though. We’re only ahead by 7k, so I’m interested to see how the rest of the week plays out

[GDC] Gods Dont Cry is recruiting We’re a smaller guild, have just over 20 members, but we’ve been around since the start of the game. A lot of us are maxed, yes. But that means we know the best ways to lvl and will be more than willing to help you do that

We mainly focus on dungeons/Fractals/WvW, we have an active WvW commander (me), we have a Teamspeak channel, and we’re all mature/friendly. We range in ages 18-25, we have the ability to be mature, but it’s all good times and joking when we’re playing :P

I love it when ppl QQ about SF being so zergcentric, when we just got done holding off the Hills on NSP’s BL with like 15 ppl and 2 balistas against a zerg of 40+, and it took them 2 attempts to finally get it (got all the way into the lord room and we wiped them and pushed them all the way out the first time).

Not trying to talk brown, just saying… it’s not just b/c of our numbers that we’re on top, ya smell me?

Thanks for your reply NoWay, your ranger build sounds pretty cool. I have a lvl 68 ranger myself and I can’t seem to find a build I like so if you were to join, I may hit you up for some advice on that

Anyway, to answer some of the questions you asked at the end, I would say our goal is to have fun first and foremost. Second, we don’t really do much PvP, aside from sometimes doing closed 1v1’s against eachother for practice on rare occasions.

We’re more focused on WvW. We aren’t a huge guild by any means (just over 20 members, to answer that question), in fact at the moment we usually just run in a group of 5-7 guys in WvW, but we’re all pretty well experienced and have a diverse setup usually (i.e. we’ll roll with a warrior, a mesmer, a thief, a guardian, etc), that way we can compliment eachother in fights which allows our small group to take on larger groups of 10-15 ppl, which is what we love to do.

Our server has a lot of huge WvW guilds, so our role in the fight is acting as more of a diversion (like capping surround camps while the main zerg hits a keep), or a support role, but we’re not afraid to lead the charge as well

As for dungeons, we mainly do them out of need for things, such as spamming CoF path 1 runs when we’re short on cash, running other dungeons that have armor/weps we like, etc. We’ve been running Fractals lately as well trying to get ascended trinkets and such, but we’re always open to run any dungeon so if you have a favorite run you like to do, we’d be more than happy to run it

The core group of us are really good friends so you need not fear the stability of the guild. Even if the newer members were all to leave randomly, the core group of us would still be standing. We’re looking to add more to that “core” group of members that we can always count on to be loyal, so if that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, we’d love to have you

[GDC] Gods Dont Cry was originally founded in 2004 on the Xbox as a Rainbow Six 3 clan, played matches on TeamCompete and Gamebattles. Since then, we’ve played many games, and we’ve been here on GW2 since day one (and a little before if you count the beta weekends before release), proudly repping Sorrow’s Furnace

As of now on GW2 we have just over 20 members. We run dungeons/WvW/Fractals/guild events, we’re a tight-knit drama-free group of mostly age 20+ ppl who can be mature but joke around as well. Ok so I’m trying to give my character some extra pow/prec/crit, and I heard you could put “rubies” in armor… and I thought that meant Exquisite Ruby Jewels, but when I go to put them on my armor, it doesn’t work. Is that what I need to be buying, OR do I just need lvl 400 jewelcrafting to be able to do this (I’m lvl 301 right now, so going that last 99 wouldn’t be an issue)? Thanks in advance for the answer

i just got my warrior to 80 this week, and all i can tell you is to STICK WITH IT. it’s definitely worth it. when you get to lvl 65 and you can start wearing knights gear, it’s like a ray of light in a dark tunnel. i have another lvl 80 and 2 others above 50, and warr is definitely the one i feel most dominant on right now. i run around in wvw just dumping on ppl. so i advise to stick with it! and i realize you said you prefer solo play, but come on; it’s called an MMO. make a friend or 2 and run around in a small group or duo. it makes the game 10x better IMO

Ok so I just got my warrior to 80 2 days ago so I dont really have a set “build” per se, I’ve been winging it and experimenting with diferent weapons/traits, but I think I’ve got my armor to where I like it. As of right now I’m wearing all knights’ for armor/trinkets, and my weps are berserker, so I’m a little tanky with good dmg. My crit chance before any buffs is 43%. I throw on signet of rage + FGJ and I get that extra 20% crit chance, which is great. I would like even MORE crit chance. So I’d like a food that provides maybe +crit chance, +crit dmg, or some more power/precision/toughness… Anyone have any suggestions?

Well thats the thing… one-time events are lame altogether. By definition, it means not everyone gets a chance to experience it b/c obviously there are people who work on weekends. Thats why they should do a week-long thing where certain major events happen more than once, and maybe make it so that you are only eligible to do it once (so the no-lifes who play 24/7 cant spam it), or make it so you can only receive xp/rewards once… something like that. That way no matter what day(s) you have off, you get to experience the content

What I think sucks is that they aren’t making this a week-long thing… it’s only on the so-called “weekend”. Well not everyone works Mon-Fri and has the weekend off, my weekend is Weds-Thurs… so this whole event takes place during my work week :/ I wish they’d be considerate of people like me also.

my main is a necro, and i spec’d him for power/condition dmg/vitality, with a main focus on bleeds. i do staff and scepter/dagger. i was doing d/d but after switching to scepter, i’ll never go back. theres just so many bleeds you can put on with the one weapon alone, the enemies just start melting.

this is how i usually engage all enemies, whether it be 1 or many:

first, i cast blood is power… its amazing now with the 10 stacks of might and with my build, the bleed lasts 39s. i have my staff out so ill throw out all 4 skills quick, switch to scepter/dagger which does a bleed b/c i have sigil of geomancy on my scepter, i do a well of blood on dodge, and when i enter DS i cast enfeebling blood. usually this all only takes about 8-10 secs to perform all this and i’ll have about 15+ stacks of bleeding on them, plus the extra 200+ condition dmg from the might makes it all that much better, and while things are cooling down you can hit em with a few scepter auto attacks for a couple more bleeds

since i like to play D as well as be offensive, i have well of power and cosume conditions on to reverse/eliminate anything done to me, and i’ll usually have well of darkness as the last utility for the pulsing blinds, and flesh golem as elite.

all in all, i respec’d my necro like 10 times while leveling and this is definitely my favorite build now by far and i havent looked back.

eh, i dont mind it so much cuz my main is a necro. i just got my guardian to 40 last night, so i dont really have a build set in stone yet. i will admit i was primarily using GS but i’m already used to the changes, so it’s w/e to me. lol
