Thats the point. My Mesmer is slow as hell. Fighting a warrior at the moment is completely senseless. If you gona win he charges away like the roadrunner and escapes …

I am using the traveller rune but in comparision to a warrier i am as slow as a turtle vs a rabbit.
This has to be fixed in my opinion.

I remember when the charge of the dagger/dagger ele has been nerved. Charge CD time increases, when no target has been hit with the charge. Same should be used for the warrior charges.
Also the range should be reduced.

… my Norn necro (Aerya) and my Asura staff ele (Flapsi) are my commander chars. They have their special “Commander”-Build and gear

But i also have several other chars explicitly equipped and skilled for solo “roaming” such as my mesmer (Pipsip) or my asura power necro (Flappo).

Sometimes i also try to “thief” around … but i have to admit that im the worst thief ever … but you should not mess around with my mesmer or necro

and guess what … its not everything about points … its also about fun.
Sometimes you meet really good other players and its a pleasure to fight them.

And a good roamer will not “finish” his opponent at the end of a hard fight instead you ./bow.
Its about respect and skill … sometimes you loose … sometimes you win … but you know that YOU alone won or lost a fight.
Clearly i know that this cannot be the whole WvW … but i really like this kind of duells and sadly i have to admit that during this week i only had a handfull of theses fights.

Maybe its the wrong environment … but there is unfortunatelly no other …

Sry … but blaming other servers for “blobbing” … really? Are you serious?

VU where about 10 people, DW/Pain about 15-20.
We run only together because of your massive numbers.

We try hard to find opponents equal in size/skill for decent fights, but against SFR you can only rejoin with other groups.

In my opinion this is the worst matchup ever. Boring and lagy. And its allways the numbers.

I also try hard to find some nice 1 vs 1. Every day im running around on my own.
And guess what? No way. 1:1 SFR runs like hell (i think there are some special SFR-“Oh sh.. i could die runaway builds”). But what the can do really good is stomping single players with 3-4 players. And they really think these are roaming-skills.

And is it really necessary to farm single players with 3-4 HS-spammer-thiefs?
Within this week i saw the worst behaviour of players of other servers ever.
I know a lot of good players making a break for this week because of the ZERO-fun factor of the current matchup.

I also will be so happy if this match-up is over and we can re-start playing and having fun in nice guild vs. guild fights.

Believe me … there was no blob … during our main times (18.00-23.00) it is hard to find “enough” opponents. So … wherever IF or SCND sees a battle cross on the map … they will appear for fights.
Most of our guilds are really bored by the current match.
Baruch has its prime time after ours … and Deso has not the numbers to cover more then one map atm.
I blame nobody for this. Ist just a messed up match-up

VU biggest blob guild of riverside. I feel sad that i see guild thats capable of running by themselves but no, all i see is 80 man blob. I really havent seen any “equal” fights during prime time this week. Hope we dont meet up in future <3.

I’m from VU and yes yesterday we were running around in a huge blob, but only because we had to lead the randoms on our homeland.
I can tell you that we were and always be running around on our own if we have a commander on the map which will take care of the randoms.

Sunday after our training we were running around as a guild on SFR borderland against big blobs both from Vizu and SFR; on monday we were running around solo on EB with just 15 people (our GvG setup), capped SM like 3 times on our own and roamed deep into enemy territory.

And the same we will do every monday, tuesday, wednesday, Thursday and sunday.

We are a blobb-guild ^^

Piken-blob size is ridiculous and makes the game un-enjoyable for everyone with 24/7 skill lag, Seriously is there any need to run around with the whole server like that?

hope dont met river again if u kill 50+of them with 20+they will come back with 60 if u kill them again they will come back with 100 and follow u around the whole map,this server deserve to play much higher tier against elona or baruch or seafarer or vizuna not against a server like gandara where almost all are moving with 15/20 ppl,just put all the german national server against each other all of them like play this way they can enjoy more the game.

Haven’t seen a single RS guild run alone in maybe 6-7 matchups vs the server. I must be really unlucky. Fighting RS there’s just nothing more then the pu zerg, when all your individual guilds melt into one blob.
If you ever played solo with the size of xxx raid vs 60+ pu zerg you would know that killing them is actually not a piece of cake or let’s say surviving the random damage (and res flood) coming from the ball. Seeing your answer, I know you never did.

About what Nemesys wrote. Nah, RS wouldn’t stand a chance vs BB, Elona or even Viz. They are unorganised, their prime is mediocre to say the least and their night force is just big enough to outcap AR during RS planned night raid on holiday season, there’s no natural night and morning force.

Toward the end of the week i have to thank Gandara and Augury Rock for the nice fights.

Especially Augury Rock has been a surprise. Good guilds and quite well organised.
And as usuall … some really nice guilds on Gandi which can deliver some heavy punch during fights

btw … we saved yesterday the middle keep of Augury Rock as we destroyed about 10 Golems of Gandara on their way to the middle keep.

Of course! If you only build 1 AC for every 2 people, half of them are gonna be unhappy, cause they will actually have to use their class skills instead of spamming 1 through a door. :/

Yep … and you could probably teach your people, that running with only a couple of people – instead of the whole map in one huge zerg – is also possible
Using ACs is often the only way how to counter the immense numbers of your people.

Anyway … i like the current matchup and sometimes … not often but sometimes … i really find single oppenents for nice 1vs1 fights

And thiefes … stop attacking my necro … killing you over and over again becomes gradually boring

Concerning the blobb posts … stop it. I saw each server yesterday and today blobbing.
Give anybody a break and stop these useless flaming posts.

And AR … for blobs sake … go and attack BB and not us!
BB really highly improved since our last matchup in numbers and skill.

Thats why they are atm at third position in the global ranking.
Finally we will try to make the matchup as thrilling as possible … but after the impressions of first day – i think – we are a little outnumbered the most time.

I agree what TUP has said here, it feels like most of RS has never tried to play outside of keeps and towers. Rather sad ;[ We had RS last week. When they went outside they outnumbered us and still flash build 2 AC’s for every encounter, then 5 seconds later there are ~35 lootbags on the ground.

Oh well.

The rankings will be really messed up. Not clear what kind of strategy the game developers are following. “Stronger” servers are currently penalized for beeing “stronger”.

In this matchup RS must tick all day long with about ~450 points not lose 1 or 2 positions.
I really don’t care about the rankings … but i would like to understand the concept xD

Give us a break. We run for about 2 hours on our own with about 25 people. At our raid end we have been asked to support the current map-commander to support him tapping the bay.
Thats why we joint together for this one action to counter your massive blob.

That’s what I’m talking about. Please provide independent source (ie screenshot or video) where we can clearly see 70 vs 20. Please. Do not dive into the depths of personal perceptions or take “They are 70 at least!” screams in TS for granted. 70 in one spot?! That’s an exceptional claim I’d argue that requires exceptional evidence.

Indeed. The truth is, that we where about ~30+ people. I was in command at this time. At the beginning the numbers where almost equal. But in time more and more Piken appeared and kicked finally our kitten … quite nice fight which took severeal minutes.
Nothing special … except the ACs ^^

This match-up has been boring… I haven’t met a single RS player that didn’t run on a 1v1.

Same here … just opposite side … i try each day for about an hour to find some nice 1vs1s.
Never had the same problem with other servers. Without their 20 guardians around them … the common Piken is running faster then the roadrunner ^^
On the other hand … had a couple of nice fights with some Gunnis <3

I really enjoy the current bracket. We have had a lot of nice fights yesterday on Gunnar. There has been a well lead bigger group of Gunnies we fought with our ~25 man squad a couple of times. Especially in the northen camp we faced after 10 Minutes of fights (WE dit not build ACs or ballists! ) the whole Gunnar server … a flood of red names. That was really funny.

Yeah … theses hackers are a shame for every server.
We will never use hacks to attack forts or use portals of flyhackers.
If we detect hackers we report them. Thats the only thing we can do.

And unfortunatelly these hackers can be found on every server

Anyway … nice fights yesterday on G-BL. Fought against brave G-defenders (mostly [DIUS]). And sry for outnumbering you the most of the time but yesterday in the evening we had waiting loobs on every GL.

Finally it doesnt really matter if AG or RS or Gandara is #1 in he current bracket.
I simply used the last 2 free days to make about 15 lvl with my mercyless thief
(which – i have to admit – is currently not the best thief on the map ^^)
And for this … the karma/exp-train the last two days was perfect.

Draugis… when I was around on reset there was 3 commanders on AG Bl spread out across the map… TUP being one of them. We encountered VU led pug blob, with MNSG & others usually in it too… 90+ guys all on same comms channel.

Hi Wamgor … there was no VU led pug blob … It was an Alliance raid containing also members of smaller guilds such as AVE and OW. We often raid AND train together.
We try to make alliences because our guilds are to small to make effective ~30 people raids on our own.

We meet TUP quite often in the open fields, but unfortunatelly you decided quite often to retreat.

Only the commanders are in one common channel. And VU/OW/AVE and MNSG-Raids only joint together when the commanders decided to attack a well defended keep.
Anyway there where some really nice and decent fights against TUP and others.
Hope to meet you again in the fields

On RS we would die for some new organised wvw guilds.

Yesterday evening on RS-BL was definitly a hard time for RS .

A ruthless Piken-Zerg (could be also called Blob ^^) which attacked continuously our main fortress. A huge AR-Zerg which took advantage of the situation. And a poor commander on our homemap (me ^^) with about 20 people in the TS to fight back.
BUT … so hard it was … it was also really fun.
Sometimes we were wiped … sometimes we wiped the others. For three hours or more we run from one crisis spot to another. At the end we did not have even the supplies and the time to collect them to close all breached doors and walls. But it was quite funny ^^

And i need definitly larger bags

Come on guys … keep calm.
It was not planned. The most surprised person on the map was our commander.
Suddenly we had such a huge amount of players on the Piken-BL map.
You cannot forbit people joining the WvW and sticking to the commander.

You have some fantastic pushing guilds. The day before we have been wipped a dozen times on hill fortress. And none of the RS-Players blamed you for outnumbering us or for hidding behind your walls. It was even the opposite. We concratulated you for your strenght and good tactics.
So keep fighting and things will normalize the next few days unless holiday time is over.
