We don’t know how many people it is actually affecting. It could be affecting more people than the number of people that had T3 and complained. Even if it is only a minority, that doesn’t make taking something from them against their will any less wrong or remove the obligation to ensure they are fairly compensated.
I have human characters, five of them in fact. One of them has T3 light boots. I’ve been playing regularly since release. If I wanted a human in full T3 light armor, I’d have one.
This character isn’t a human because I couldn’t have made a human that looks like this one does in this armor. Now that this armor is being taken away, there may never be another armor that looks as good to me on this character again.

but in all honesty your toon looks amazing it’s a shame that “special snowflakes” cant share their toys with casuals
1.) I really hope their not stationed in the us or Canada cuz this has a better business bureau claim written all over it
2.) if not people can just make a fraudulent claim to their credit card companies and if enough people do it, they’ll block anet all together meaning anyone with that line of credit card wont be able to buy gems anymore, or evan buy the game online for that matter

and if their going to do a refund, it should be cold hard cash, because that’s what people paid for said armor
I really just wish the new long hair style moved more, I wasted 2 kits on my norn to change it, went out to explore and realized it was glued to my back….. and quickly changed back. gold down the drain

im also having the same issue, ive tried restarting the game a few times and evan went as far as restarting both the router and computer a few times nothing. can we please get some help with this issue Anet, if so many people are having problems its not us its you
ok so three times today ive died to respawns while clearing a path to a skill point. now honestly I wouldn’t mind it if I wasn’t killing stuff in 10-25 seconds and than getting swarmed when it all respawns as im killing the last one. clearing maps to level no longer fells like an option to me.
you should either make it so mobs in an area around skill points or vistas take longer to respawn, or at least make it so all the mobs in an area cant respawn at once.
the way im getting within melee range should be the way everyones getting in melee range, i attack from the back cuz the bosses cleave doesnt hit me. my guilds are normaly good that when you get aggro back up slowly so others can get behind and dps. i fell your pain my necros a axe/focus necro so my range is also poo. 360 i think it was?
Thanks for understanding our class (axe range is 600 btw). I do find that getting behind most dungeon bosses is easier said than done when most people I have done dungeons with, both pug and guildies, WANT the bosses against a wall. I do try to maneuver behind the bosses when possible, but it is safer to just stay range now. I only commented originally because ANet recently said it wanted all professions to have many (5 or 6 I think) viable build options and making our class even worse at melee was, to me, a contradiction.
sadly d/d necros do seem to be left out in the dark when it comes to play options. tho if your realy set on using a dagger main hand, maybe try a focus off hand the regen from #4 should help a bit more with surviablity, and the weakness should also buff the damage and healing from dagger #2. you could take the weakness evan higher with spectral wall, and well of suffering to up the life steal even more if thats the mechanics you wanna work around? and specral wall can also be crossed when going into melee range to prevent that first hit you take within 5 seconds.
Luckily there are cookie cutter builds anyone can fall to.
The fact that so many people are complaining about this deserved nerf to life-steal food tells me there are indeed cookie cutter builds that anyone can fall back on.
Honestly, I don’t think any other nerf in the game got as much attention as this one.

Actually if you look I too posted to this thread. As for the "I WIN’ button, do you play a leech necro? If not then please don’t tell us how to play our class, and if you do please tell us exactly how you get into melee range within a dungeon with a dagger and last more than a few seconds even with dodging. You see the necro has no vigor/endurance granting abilities so after you dodge twice your hooped till it recharges.
I agree that nerfing the food was good idea for cleave classes, however, for one build in particular, it basically cut out a fair bit of our healing ability. If they had nerfed the food and given a better vitality/healing/vigor to our class then that would have been a fair trade, but just nerfing it hurts. I’m gonna remake my necro as a condi scepter/dagger like every other necro now, as having vampire leeching was never meant to be (apparently) used in melee even though the main dagger auto attack is 130 range.Sad really as I have invested heavily into my daggers, and the build is generally fun in PvE, but in dungeons you may as well be ranged now.

stop whining cuz they nerfed your pies, your in a lot better spot than alot of other classes.
this was an exploit and this nerf was long overdue
and before you say about guardians how about you play one once, they have less viable support skill options for both dps and tanking, lower natural hp pool ,and less weapon combos.
and for the record i play a full zerk warrior and i hardly die, they added dodging for a reason.
as my original post says, the summoning mobs seem to summon to many and/or are so close together that they all pull at once, ending in me getting slaughtered. i had one dredge suit that had 7 dredge summoned in that mission (dredge assult, in the norn personal story) i can normaly dodge 1 or 2 of them but the rest just knock me down. and garrentee that i get no hits in before im downed.
Thanks, that’s extremely useful info. The dredge suits can summon up to 5 minions, but you also have a half-dozen Vigil soldiers with you. If you’re running in and aggroing all 5 minions and the suit, you probably need to slow down. I just completed this without getting hit at all during the suit attack by letting the Vigil wade in, then I picked off the suits at a distance. (I tried it with an engineer.) Most of the NPCs did get killed during the fight, but they can rezz each other, so the entire group was back up for the cave exploration step.
yeah my entire group of NPC’s got killed with the first group of dredge and always did, but i finaly beat it after upgrading ALL of my gear to vit gear just so i could live long enough to actualy hit something. and yes when i say all i mean every single Piece. also i skipped the suits. stealth ftw.
Which step are you on? Waiting for a “major overhaul” isn’t going to happen without more information. As I’ve mentioned before, I play all of the story steps with an equal level character (not downscaled) and haven’t run into any consistent issues, but if there are specific steps that are too difficult, I can look at adjusting them.

i just had to gy zerg my last three missions, these dredge suits/dredge transporters that summon up to 5 dredge, who knockdown on top of that. my thief is up less than 5 seconds cant do anything cuz shes getting knocked down so fast and is dead. on top of that you put 2-3 of these summoning mobs right next to each other. im at dredge assult right now and honestly after upgrading my gear and trying this twice now only to leave with the mission unfinished and naked from broken gear, i think im gonna wait until the personal storys get a major overhaul.
theres a differance between challenging, and making it only possiable with one playsytle.
It is amusing seeing people try to fit builds into the generic RPG DPS/Tank/Healer fits. Guild Wars 2 offers a lot of setup options but unfortunately gameplay can be difficult if you try to fit into one of the generic RPG builds, or be less rewarding.
Your best option is to play around with different setups, different trait lines, and work out a build that works for you. If you decide to go a support style role, you will still need to do some damage to get rewards.
well thats the thing, i already have a build/skills/gear/runes picked out for each option already its just a matter of lvling them so see how it plays out
If you are going to go glass cannon warrior, go Greatsword or go home.
i dont like greatsword tho, besides there to many of you running around!
Thief was my 3rd lvl 80 and I have to admit it is a lot more fun than my necromancer and guardian. Loads of options and creative ways to build one, and your option 2 is actually really fun too.
yeah it is great, my only problem was i chose norn, so all the storyline enemys where dredge who are immune to blind >.<
so after trying every class to at least 20. I now cant deside what to lvl next cuz each class has so many options build wise. here are my favorites so far.
option 1- glass cannon rifle warrior. the dps on this is amazing
option 2- blink bunker thief. love the idea of stacking blind to tank
option 3- suport ele. Ive always loved healing and this is the closest i can get, and the animations are great
option 4- class cannon necro. saw the build on here and tried it and its works great
currently my only max lvl is a mesmer but thanks to some guildys and a few lucky drops i only had to buy one or two pieces to get a full exotic set of gear,and after working on getting my magic find set together and finished I realy wanna start on an alt.
you know since ive been 80, probably only a month or two now. ive never seen this event down once. evan when we did get a group of 20 of us to do it we wiped. tried getting a group for this tonight and no luck on getting anyone, zone looks and fells empty, and im on one of the larger servers.
personaly i dont see a problem with this. doing maps is the main way to lvl, from 1 lvl 80 i have close to 20 basic stones in my bank and thats from doing less than 10 maps. As for the fine stones, its, either pay the gold/gem, grind out the higher lvl maps for them. or deal with it they give you two ways to get them, a long/cheap way (grind) or a quick/expensive way (buy them). just be happy i know alot of games that have an ingame store that anything in the store can only be bought with realy money, and cant be gotten in the game otherwise.
i also had the thought that maybe whats happened is maybe the gods just got recarnated or awoke as the dragons (5 gods not including Kormir ,whos kinda new to the game, and 5 dragons that we know of so far). In gw1 we dont realy see any of them (other than Kormir) only statues and avatars of them, so them being the dragons doesnt seem like to much of a long stretch.
another thought i had was maybe the reason they locked abbadon away instead of killing him was that all of them where linked and with killing abbadon, we killed or weakened the other gods greatly and Kormir is off somewhere maybe holding another elder dragon at bay or something.
without answers straight from the dev’s theres not telling what they’ll do or say happened to them, if they ever tell us at all.
so long as its not one of the already op classes and goes to necros and engineers, the two classeses anet seemed to abuse like a redheaded stepchild. hope they fix those two soon >.<
im actualy running something like this already 0/0/20/30/20 , full giver’s exulted set 1% extra boon dur per piece, with 3 monks runes and 3 water runes, and snowflake trinks/ring/neck 2% boons dur per piece. the constants regens nice with healing power it actualy ticks for a decent amount. it does get boring after while tho >.<

thank you all very much, grinding out the last lvl or two on my main and im starting my engineer tomorrow, im thinking a 10/30/0/30/0 p/p, elixer build. agian thank you all for your input
awesome-it was my understanding that all the weapons engineers had avaliable to them sucked for lvling and endgame and since i was planning elixers anyways i figured id just pick up a kit for a skill slot and use the elixer heal since it would have a shorter cooldown from traits anyways. tho to hear that p/p is viable realy makes me happy might just have to do that instead >.<
well my plan was to use flamethrower to lvl than switch to medkit for endgame for group play,so if flamethrowers not good evan for lvling i dont realy mind using something else to dps i was just planning to use it cuz i was told elixers and regular p/p , p/s , and rifle arnt good for lvling either. so any other kit or skill that could make up for the lost dps while still being an elixer engineer that i could use?
with my mesmer about to reach max lvl and my guildys only being on at nights, im thinking about lvling one of my alts next. my problem, I cant deside between my necro or my engineer both are only in the low teens right now and ive been told both are broken classes and to roll something else but when i started my mesmer people told me the same thing. these toons are manly going to be for pve.
im thinking an elixer/flamethrower engineer or a wells/condition staff necro? any ideas or input that i should know about?
