it would be nice if they’d make a separate que for elitists and casuals.

I spend the better part of 2 hours guiding a group (each of them having less than 500 ach points) thru ac finish, log my warrior and head down to do arah and get kicked from not one but four groups because all their tag says is speedrun and no path number, zone in find out its one I don’t know and swiftly get the boot without even a chance.

the best thing I think I could see them doing is maybe making it so a boss has to be killed by conditions for a certain % of his hp or maybe it puts up a reflective shield until it has 10 stacks of bleeds, or maybe a boss does a slam attack that if it doesn’t hit anyone gives it a stack of fury ad causes it to do a huge aoe or something.

however I don’t think that support builds are ever going to be necessary for content, It’d just be yet another thing they do against their original manifesto.

you know I honestly have opened like 10 chests in the last few weeks and im thinking they broke them with adding wintersday gifts, I feel like im getting less stuff from them than I should be getting and that the winterday gifts are to replace something. also I havent gotten one scrap from any of them, so much for me getting the weapon this week

I think maybe a support skill that stealths for like 5 second on a 45 second cooldown would be fine but we don’t need anything near as what thieves or Mesmer have.

as for more damage, I actually think some of our weapons are in a good place right now compared to where they where.

on the stealth topic I actually think our class needs 1.) better movement abilities more swiftness and maybe a shadow step instead of stealth and 2.) more condition removal

Trait system
1st Wish = make the beastmaster grandmaster traits worth taking
2nd Wish = a few of the skills look like their in the wrong tree…….
3rd Wish =a few skills could be added together or have their tier moved
4th Wish =theres more than a few that no one takes and it’d be nice to flush them and make new ones and have picking things actually be a hard choice
5th Wish =theres pet skills thrown everywhere, I know their our special snowflake thingy but you don’t see stealing stuff in every thief tree do you?

Utility Skills
1st Wish =id like something to keep up with my zerg right now im stuck using warhorn for that very reason and im still falling behind because it doesn’t have 100% uptime
2nd Wish = more stealth skills
3rd Wish =longer stealth unveil on sic’ em
4th Wish =better healing skill, I dislike spirits and other than troll unguent , heal as one is the top heal it seems like with all others falling short in wvw cuz your always moving
5th Wish = more condition removal, im running a bear a pet that I really don’t like the skin of because its the only condition removal that’s guaranteed, and has a cooldown of less than a minute.

@easlay i must apologize i just logged onto my thief that i haven’t played in months to try out the shortbow and had enough initiative to use the #5 ability 3 times, i didn’t even realize that 15 trickery gave me an extra 3 init.

tho i still say thieves can run away and reset fights a little to easily, tho other classes can do it a lot easier so its not that big of a deal really

as the “insane mobility and teleports”, we have way less than an elementalist, mesmer or a warrior c’mon…if a thief spam the #5 of bow then is just for an escape, so isn’t a threat since would be out of initiative after 2 teleports

really cuz I can get like 3-4 in on my thief, evan just increasing the initiative to make it so they could only do it twice or maybe making it the only thief weapon skill with a cooldown, could honestly fix the issue. people keep saying the issue is stealth but the real issue is stealth and movement.

no im saying nerf one or the other. and I honestly think nerfing movement, with the shortbow #5 skill is the way to go.

people are complaining because “well I cant see them in stealth and when I do hit them they just port away quickly” with shortbow #5. I think uping the initiative to 8-9 or giving it a 5 second cooldown would fix most of the problems, thieves cant port away from combat as easily except with shadowstep and that’s on an almost minute cooldown. and thieves still keep their stealth and still have some movement skills just not one that they can spam the hell out of.

honestly if their stealthed and you have a general idea of where they are, you can still hit them with aoe or a knockback if their on your tower, however when their porting around ever 2 seconds with shadowstep, shortbow, or sword #2 while weaving stealth into that is make it a kitten to hit them

the issue with that is that some aoe’s have a huge area and hitting the thief would be to easy, now maybe adding a debuff when their stealth drops that doesn’t allow them to stealth again for 2-4 seconds could work, or making it so certain cc’s knock them out of it like knockdown or immobilize could work but again you’d be destroying a whole class mechanic ruining the game play for another person.

honestly its not the stealth that’s the issue, its the movement they have. they have 2 teleport abilities and the ones spammable. they have a 25% movement signet, and a extra 25% when stealthed buff from traits, which their stealthed a majority of the time.

if it wasn’t for the movement all you’d really have to do is hit them with a knockdown/cc as their stealthing, than spam the area with aoe and dead thief. I think simply reworking the shortbow #5 skill would really fix people feeling thieves where op, but again it’d ruin one of the things thieves love about their class.

The stat difference is not much from exotic.. I don’t see why even elitists would want to drop someone because of non-ascended.. :/

artemus, you’d be surprised as to how many games if you don’t have best in slot people wont take you for stuff. that being said I was really looking forward to not having to grind gear, to be able to take a brake and come back in a few months and know all I missed was dailies, lore, and skins. if I wanted a gear treadmill I would have kept raiding in wow, and now i’m behind in 2 game.

And for the record it was a dungeon group for all 4 arah paths, apparently that 20 power, 10 precision, and 6% crit means a lot to some people.

so out of boredom I decided to see exactly how much real money id need to pump into the game to get a legendary weapon, and I was shocked to say the least.

eternity on my server (CD) is 3600g, the most expensive one

if you bought that in $10 gem purchases it would take you 66.5 purchases to get the amount of gold needed to buy said legendary.

that’s $665 dollars.

to that I say congratulation to everyone who built/bought theirs already.

p.s. in no way am I complaining, I’m congratulating the people that have a weapon that is worth a lot of out of game money

this is really annoying, when im lvling an alt and want to empty my bags having to stop after 4-5 items is a real pain in the butt.

lets not forget that anet can make gems out of thin air (not really a product when there’s an unlimited supply) , it’s likely that if they have to they just take a cut from what your already paying.

lets say you buy $10 worth of gems, taxes on that would be 60cents. so anet bites the bullet so to speak and gives 60cents to whatever the tax goes to and makes $9.40 on their limitless product

it’s a well known fact in this game that the end game is pretty much get pretty armor, that being said the entire time the games been out YOU BASE YOUR CHARACTER OFF WHAT ARMOR YOU WANT OR THEIR RACIAL ARMOR. that’s been pounded into our head since day one! if you didn’t like a racial armor than you shouldn’t have chosen that race.

didn’t they add transmute stones in lvl 70 and higher zones upon completion specifically for this type of thing? and don’t you get like 6 per map?

1.) if it makes us go out into the world to acquire them from big massive events, what happens when everyone gets their and than there’s only a handful that still need it, or peoples alt, but do to lack of people the event cant be done anymore? right now it might be col but down the road its just gonna be a real pain in the butt

2.)not to mention if they don’t have us use skill point on this there’s still the issue of lack of things to spend skill points on

they should still require skill points to obtain, but also require some actual in game goals. Also i wouldnt tie it to big events, i would tie it to the type of events that scale to 1. they shouldnt be massice tequatl events, this is about personal growth, so it should be tailored to solo-small groups.

ok than how may i ask would it be tailored for each character? if a vendor just pops up after said event wont people will just do what they do with temples now and realm hop and get their skills defeating the entire purpose of it anyhow?

i actually have only gotten 1 or 2 in the last week or so. and actually i got a good laugh the other night when one hit me up in wvw advertising wow gold >.<
