To assist you in your ventures into the mists, a new agony resist infusion slot has been added to all infused rings and backpacks.
All current infused rings and backpacks will start with a +5 agony resist infusion (this replaces the +5 agony resist that was previously on the item itself).I’m not sure if I’m reading this correct. Are they saying that an infused backpiece will now have TWO infusion slots? Or that ALL backpieces will have an inherent +5 AR now?
If it’s the latter rather than the former, those of us who spent the 250 ectos to upgrade backpieces to have an inherent +5 AR are basically SOL.
Can I have my 250 ectos back please?
Given fractals will still be capped at 50, and the new AR cap will be 70, they should refund you for the 250e anyway since you’ll end up with 10 ar more than you could use in the first place.

Oh, you spent weeks leveling to 80 for no reward other than bragging rights?
Yeah, I’m going to need you to hand that over…
Taking this amount of hard work from players with no reward is NOT OK
Suggestions:
- Title “Master of the mists”, “Fractal master”, etc for level 80s
- Cash: Give everyone over 50 some money based on their fractal level
- Second characters: Give everyone who leveled multiple characters in fractals a reward based on their second characters level

We’ve got ascended gear, we’ve got l500 crafting skills, we’ve got legendary stat changes, and we’ve got a relatively huge price rise in precursors because anet said absolutely nothing about them.
Are precursors going to be craftable in this next update or what?

The fact that it doesn’t give upgrades and has a low % for rare mats means ill be passing this one by.
It does. The Gem store description is wrong. This was described as “Anet roullette” since we don’t know if the thing will get nerfed later or if it’s even working as good as it should now.

Definitely a convenience item. Using Agent of Entropy and the values from typhus and Esplen it will take somewhere between 11 and 16 years. In reality it would take even longer because I won’t be using it rares or exotics.
That being said I would still buy it if it was equal to a basic kit but not for a crude kit.
Can’t tell which it is right now.
Right now it looks like basic and crude are bugged to be the exact same with a dif amount of uses (See Articluna.4509’s post and the wiki page on salvage kits) so technically it’s both.

I would buy this convinience item on 5 characters if someone from anet would officially tell us which of the descriptions are wrong: Is it supposed to salvage upgrades or will it be nerfed in future?

That would only affect Elementalists and Engineers, though, since everyone else has 2 weapon sets which means they can easily have 2-4 weapons equipped (thus, not in the inventory) at any given time, whereas the Elementalist/Engineer can only have 1-2.
Nope. Let me give you an example. Say you’re a guardian with sword/shield and scepter/focus (totally random, just go with me here)
You equip a hammer. The sword and hammer switch places but the shield is dumped at the first open slot in your inventory!
If the shield stays in place but “Disabled” then switching out weapons won’t put it somewhere in the inventory, problem solved,

You… Are missing the point.
You don’t actually hold a staff in one hand and a focus in the other, the offhand is disabled while they’re both “Equipped”
It’s a simple inventory management trick that means you don’t have offhands getting dropped at random spots in your inventory, and furthermore it was one of the great features of GW1 that’s missing in GW2.
If you have more than 2 weapon sets (My guardian has 3×1h, 2xoh and 3×2h for 9 total) and switch them out a lot, offhands getting dumped in amongst the blue loot is a pain.
In fact I never use my GS or Hammer on my guardian specifically because it dumps an offhand into my inventory, even though they’re otherwise very good weapons.

How offhands worked in GW1:
You could dual wield an offhand and a 2h, and the offhand stats wouldn’t count.
You could switch out a 1h for a 2h without the offhand being unequipped and dumped in the inventory! (And subsequently salvaged by a greedy mouse hand)
I’m sure it’s been suggested before but here it is again, in case anyone from anet can confirm/deny a feature like this in the works.

Can we please get a longer list of nearly completed achievements? 3 just doesn’t cut it when they require things like 100 wvw kills to get the last 10%.
I’d like a big long (20 at least) list of nearly completed achievements so I can pick out the easy ones and max them.

I’m mainly posting to wonder if any mac users are running into this issue as I’m playing on linux through wine (And I doubt anet will do anything to help me specifically) but since the original source code for the mac version was stolen borrowed from wine you might notice the issue too.

im enjoying LB+GS on a Regen build that im trying atm centered around the GS
Yeah I don’t really like lb, I want a bit more speed. Looking at the stats the axe isn’t exactly very good, but as a stopgap for GS it seems great with utility (WD to counter ranged attacks followed by 3 to crip and 4 to pull, then switch to GS)

Was gone for the past 2 months – saw quickening zephyr shortbow and jaguar got nerfed to hell.
Since they were the main parts of my builds, what should I use now?
When I started playing I used GS + Axe/horn. I ditched it for better stuff (repeatedly, thanks to nerf nerf nerf) But it looks like that’s the best option now. I’m still not sure what to do about my build, axe/axe?

It’s 26% if you count it from the end result (1.5*0.74=1.16) but it’s 34% from the start (1.16*1.34=1.55)

About the pet names, they said it takes up too much memory on their servers. They did that change some months ago.
Well that’s nonesense. 4 names per ranger, max 128 chars per name plus a 64bit pointer is 16.6tb… Assuming there are 32 million rangers.

Some of them are easy to recapture but golden/lifetime survivor/master carver should be automatically set upwards to fix this problem.
Right now I’m not interested in getting lifetime survivor again if anet won’t fix it. Hell, 499999/500000 will be more impressive in a year’s time if they don’t :P

I logged in twice after the event finished. Once to make a weapon for a friend, and once to finish the monthly (Which was almost done already)
I can’t even be bothered logging in any more.
Annoyed about them adding a treadmill? A little.
Annoyed about them breaking their promises? Quite a lot.
Annoyed that once we found out they told us to screw ourselves? Just guess…
I had 3 80s with full exo gear.
I had a relatively large amount of cash.
I had ~3100 achievement points.
I was on my way to my 17th title.

I’m going to want a lot of commendation items so I’m wondering if you can still buy stuff with them after the event and if you can still get them through donations after the event.

So after doing the event I looked at this horrible little level 2 back slot item and I thought: Meh.
I deleted it then and there (Without noticing it had a skin) without thinking it might be required for act 2.
Is it required for act 2? Is there/will there be a way to obtain one if you deleted the old one?

Is it possible to use multiple characters to gain dungeon tokens? Specifically, can you do 3 paths, switch char, do the 3 paths again, switch char, etc?

The latest update made it easier, and stopped the full on block so I could finish it, but it still lacks the sense of scale of “This is a real battle” and is more “Bleh” – I’d still like it returned to before where it was one of the best parts of the story

I’m going to assume you guys made some changes to the battle for fort trinity in the last patch.
This is my third playthrough, and I noticed a number of changes/bugs to this “mission” that make it not worth bothering with at the moment.
Currently on a charr, order of whispers in the “lost honor” storyline.
First change: If I’m not mistaken you replaced some of Trahearne’s recordings with (imo) better ones. I’d like to know if I’m hearing things if you happen to know! (Or do you have multiple recordings for the same line based on chosen storyline?)
Before second change: When at the logging site, the group of undead spawns, you fight them off, logging captain says thanks, cutscene triggers, new objective.
After second change: Several groups of undead hit the logging camp one at a time, big slow boring fight, no thanks, no cutscene, undead are already halfway to the gate by the time the objective appears.
Before third change: Many groups of undead march on the gate at the same time and there’s a big battle, halfway through comes a cutscene showing giants attacking, you close the gate, cutscene shows the battle ending outside the gate.
After third change: Groups of undead spawn one at a time instead of all at once, which is a bad thing because the fight just gets drawn out. 3 or 4 waves before the end all the NPCs are dead (And they can’t be ressurected) and I have to slog through 20-30 zombies with nothing but trahearn to help. When I finally kill all of them and close the gate, there are only 2 NPCs standing there, ruining that whole cutscene altogether.
Before fourth change: Arriving at the docks there is a massive fight with lots of enemies, people say to look up and another wave spawns, the fight continues into the rest of the mission
After fourth change: Again, they spawn slowly one wave of 3 enemies at a time. This isn’t a battle, it’s less exciting than the tutorials… Once the “look up” waves have finished spawning (one at a time again) nothing else spawns and the mission stops moving.
And yes, I did this twice (at least up to the third change) just to confirm that it wasn’t a one-off bug.
Please revert! The battle was much more fast-paced, interesting, and generally better the last times I did it!

Before the patch any enemy I had agrod that died would recharge my virtue, now it doesn’t seem to recharge at all. Is this just me or should I post a bug?

I did my monthly achievement by playing on my level 80 main and leveling an alt to 65.
Then I hopped on my level 2 alt that I hadn’t started with yet to salvage the junk he had to finikitten off. I got 4 copper, 200 xp, and the 20 coins. I couldn’t open the chest on my main, I could only get the crappy reward from my level 2.
Not only is that beyond low even if I did manage to finish a monthly entirely on a level 2 character, the fact that level affects monthly/daily rewards means most people will deliberately hold off on finishing the monthly (Or daily for that matter) until they can do it on their highest level character.
Please just set a static reward, use the highest level character for the calculation, or perhaps increase the reward based on the amount of monthlies you have finished, rather than level.
Edit: Also, the forums anti-swear code appears to be a bit overzealous :P

Was it buffed or something cause I got to 80 on a GS without any complaints and testing dps in mists is slightly higher than axe.

While looking for the last 3 missing areas in kryta (Krytan explorer 175/178) I went to the GW2W to painstakingly go down the list of areas and check each one against my map.
The 3 areas I was missing are 3 jumping puzzles: The collapsed observatory (Kessex hills), Fawcet’s bounty (harathi hinterlands), and Swashbuckler’s cove (Gendarran fields).
I have completed all jumping puzzles and have a pretty star next to my name, so unless the wiki is mistaken, I should have those areas of the map uncovered.
To confirm, I went to swashbuckler’s cove and completed it again, it was not unblocked on my map.
Either these map areas were removed but left in the achievement, they are bugged not to reveal, or the wiki is wrong and I am genuinely missing 3 zones (And the wiki just happens to show those exact missing zones)
Coincidentally, the two zones I am missing in the maguuma jungle according to the wiki are also jumping puzzles, so I believe it’s one of the former.
Edit: Looks like the 18 sep patch fixed this, great!
