Am I too old for gaming?

After you got the choice to choose a path between Vigil, Whisper or Priory everything went downhills. It became less of you and more of whatever bunch you decided to group up with. As the story progresses you might as well be a static in the background. Certain choices you get to decide for the story progression already seem thought out by everyone else but you. You are really only there to confirm which one choice, not plan them out eith the others

And then Trahearne comes in and ruins all interest i had in stopping Zhaitan. He takes the standard “I become a hero, not because i want, but because i need” deal that i have seen in so many stories prior to this. Now, i would have been okay with this if it was ME that took the leadership. Afterall, I am the one who rised to the very top, giving it all to stop the forces threatning Tyria. Why should Trahearne, someone who hasn’t even lifted a sword before in his life, lead us all in battle against one of the strongest forces in Tyria. Isn’t it MY personal story, where I get to be the hero?

Some of the writing makes it feel like a bad WoT spinoff, trying it’s best to build up to something epic and huge, and then just flops all over with uninteresting and incompetent characters taking the lead and half-assed battle tactics even a child could come up with.

The fact that rangers have longer range than the mortar makes it near useless during WvWvW. I know there’s a trait that increases mortar range but i heard it didn’t work so I’ve never tried that. I found the elixir elite skill to be quite interesting, changing you into two different elites from different classes. It’s actually pretty good while in a group or during PvE. The supply crate is good within sPvP since it gives so many different targets for other players to attack, plus combined with all turret skill slots makes the damage rack up fast on other players while kiting them around. And, of course, we have the asura golems which are awesome in every field, PvE, sPvP or WvWvW.

How do you even…?

I have 750+ kills and only 51 badges.

It seems if you’re going for full Invader armor, it’s gonna take a while.

Either way, the amount of players on french worlds at night time is outrageously high. As it has been stated, we can struggle along at daytime, holding it somewhat even. But at nighttime, everything changes. For 8 hours they have complete domination over everybody else, grabbing almost every objective from every team, giving them a huge boost of points every night. This, in my opinion, seems broken. Because as it is, nobody stands a chance against them.

Ok, so in Malchor’s Leap, I’ve been waiting 2 days for this to get fixed. Acording to people, there’s supposed to be a NPC you have to talk to which seems to be missing. This isn’y only happening on my world (Far Shiverpeaks), it’s also going on in several others from what I’ver heard of people trying to jump from world to world. And also, acording to them, this has been going on for a whole week.

I don’t want to world jump without the assurance that it does as a matter of fact work in other worlds. So, any idea of how to reset the NPC or otherwise trigger this event?

Did this mission a couple minutes ago, had the EXACT same problem. Everybody teleported outside when I got around to rescuing the second team. However, after ragequitting once and jumping back into it, I managed to do it.

The problem seemed to be after you fight the horde that appears when you find the first team. When you have beaten it, just hug the wall as close as possible on the way over to the cave. Otherwise, Trahearne will go into combat with the enemies and stop following you inside. When he gets around to either dying or killing the enemies he will just stand around outside and you will have to quit the quest and try again.

Just remember to NOT let him anywhere close to the enemies outside and you should be good to go.
