Ascalonian Catacombs path 2
So now you have killed anything fun about this path, now you have made the ghost eater AOE SO hard and do a DD that does so much damage I don’t care what kind of group you have mixed with you your going fail
So they fixed it??
This is exactly how I remember the Ghost Eater, when it wasn’t glitched and staring off into space ignoring the players. Ghost pools tended to stack and down people in seconds, and that hepta-vapor-blade was no slouch either. That it’s actually being active & a threat now is great news.
I’m up for a change (I liked the Ghost Eater the way it was before this ghost shield thing), but the least ANet could make it that he doesn’t heal as frequently, or that there’s no recharge time on the ecto guns things; half my problem was that someone would lift an ecto and my pull would still be charging… Even if you can get the coordination to cart the ectoplasm around, the stupid boss heals himself if you’re not fast enough. and not everyone plays super fast.. I went with a fully geared group and we got our heads handed to us like we were level 1s taking on a Risen Priest of Grenth.
Gah, ok, so I know the last post was 11 days ago so I guess I’m not techically necroposting..
I just wanted to add another occurance of the weird sound bug to the list. On both my Mac and my Windows clients, I get a very loud cracking/popping noise for absolutely no reason. I thought it was a sound glitch from the loud, icy crackley POW noise that plays whenever my necromancer applies Chill with the Chillblains mark. But I’ve noticed it on other occasions for no reason too. But most frequently, it seems to be from chilling enemies. I’ve never had the strange UFO siren sound other players are plagued with. It startles me every time, so I hope you guys can fix it :O
I literally just noticed that the Sylvari have near-accurate muscle structure as a skin pattern. I’d never had a Sylvari before; I’d fallen in love with the Charr designs that I never made a Sylvari until now. And as I was tweaking the body pattern, I noticed the long pattern near the knee where the lights come out, and it looked incriminatingly like the sartorius muscle.
I don’t know if anyone else noticed that, or if I’m a little late to the party, but I wanted to share :P
OH MY GOD I AM SO WITH YOU ON THIS. Seriously, the mandatory password change is the most annoying thing I have ever had to do. I’m running out of passwords to use and now I can’t even change it because I couldn’t remember what the old one was, because I had to change it to something I wouldn’t remember. I don’t even have a disability. I just don’t appreciate being told I HAVE to change my password. Make some money off $5 authenticators or something…
I’m not sure if this has been asked yet, or if this is even the right forum for this, but I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions on Back Piece gear has the affix Apothecary (+Condition Damage, +Toughness, +Healing Power) or anything that comes close? Is there anything I could make with a particular crafting tree, or something I could buy off the TP or do a dungeon to get?
I have a full set of Apothecary armor (I’m saving up for the ridiculous Passiflora jewelry now), and I’m hoping to get a better piece of back armor >.>
This would actually be really nice. I had a scare a few months back that I’d accidentally deleted my Drake Broodmother, to find out that I’d deposited her with the rest of my collectables =_=
When I first got the game, I was intending on playing a human. But as I tried to create a human Necro, I realized everything I was making a) looked too much like my character from the first game and b) looked like some sort of akward gothic doll…
Plus when the screenshots of the charr first came out, I was astounded by the number of face shapes. Sure, there’s not alot, but there’s more than WoW’s worgens. Their anatomy is believable, unlike Worgen(female)s who looked like they’d fall forward at any moment. I fell in love with those fluffy tails too lol

There should be a separate sound slider in the options panel specifically for NPC volume. Even if I could quiet them for a little while sometimes I don’t mind the atmosphere of the NPCS talking, but other times, they’re annoying as hell … :|
I second this motion. omg.
- I would love if we could sit down places and have animations for when characters speak.
- I think we could benefit from a /e channel.
- More town clothing would be amazing too.
- Emote overwrite would be cool. I hated how in WoW, you’d have to emote, say, falling down forcefully, and -then- /sit. It was like “Oh no someone’s pushed me. Let me just lay down gently.”
- Eating/Drinking Animations would be interesting, though since food doesn’t act the same way as in, say, WoW, I’m not sure any function other than for rp purpose. At least in WoW, it was there for when characters would heal/regain mana, but then people utilized it for roleplaying.
I definitely agree there needs to be more RP functions, but I also feel that some of these suggestions are impractical or won’t function the way that is intended.
- I feel like because of the in game economy being relatively healthy (at least compared to other MMOs), character to character trading wouldn’t be the best idea.
- Character Housing would make for huge servers and lots of lag, I think. I think Instanced housing would be better, if there were housing at all.
Could just be talking out of my butt with the last two, since I don’t really know much about how the economy and server space work, but I do think that having player to player trading would facilitate inflation…
I think if enough people suggest it, ANet will impliment RP faster. Heck, they have walking already. What in-game function could that possibly serve other than for roleplayers? TERAonline never had walking, but they did add a /e channel.
Some of the world bosses taunt WAAYY too frequently. For example, in Mount Maelstrom, the Champion Infinity Coil Commander taunts every 3-5 seconds. Its really annoying, and it spams up my chat. I literally have to mute Guild Wars to shut him up… And it’s not like I can go up and kill him, because lets face it, it’s near impossible to take a Champion by yourself. Not impossible, but near it.
The same with Xolotl in Quetzal Bay. “PROVE THE SUN SHINES THROUGH YOU.” Oh my god I’m going to punch you in the face stupid frog lady…
So can we like.. make that less annoying? or at least have an option to mute world bosses so that I can actually listen to the in-game sounds without my ears being assaulted?
