No thy, its non of other players business what armor/gear or build I run. I like my privacy.
I do not like being an open book. if they wanna know they can ask. might actually get some good socializing. It does not fit the ‘’run what you want non role based gameplay atmosphere’’ of gw2 either.
If they do implement it, they should add a option to make it private aswell.
This option would be nice I think
It used to be a PvP armor skin in the old version of it. At this moment in no other way obtainable then the story. Though if I where to guess they might be seeing a return in HoT here is hoping

why not just add the entire player model like normal? so including under the skirt like in all to most other armors/outfits
and I do not have feet now
I did like the old one better, never even knew of any issues… till I read they ‘’fixed it’’ And all I know is that the skirt looks bigger now
still don’t know about the previous issues with it… here I thought Anet artists where perfectionists and didn’t do rush rush.

I am one of those thiefs that actually used to count on last refuge…. I loved it more then I hated it. Counted on it. used it with combo-fields as blast when I was low HP etc.
I miss it, but understand its no longer minor trait as many thief’s didn’t use it or didn’t think bout it before was to late :/
But seriously I want to have it but I can not effort too chose it.. because even though Shadow’s embrace is less good is just much better then last refuge alone. I really miss the last min save… sure even if it did reveal you you could trait to get 200 extra power… and if you did get revealed by it you would be dead anyway.
I miss it. I hope others will now realise how effective it was as well :/ or I hope they at least see why someone might miss it, but I doubt it

Kittentrait o.0 Falldamage stealth trait is … well now was a mandatory trait for me as a solo WvW roamer. I can not negin too count the amount of saves I had because of it. It also had like a 10 second cool down. making it some very nice extra source of stealth.
And with the new wvw maps comming I believe I would want it more.
I can live without blind on stealth…. it just sucks they merged it with the fall damage trait which I really loved.
Been using fall-damage trait since I started d/d thief 6k hours ago. So I hope to see it back in acrobatics. enough stuff to replace there Anyway :P or indeed put it with last refuge seems really fair.. Falling is still an acrobatic move though :P

I would have liked it one problem for wvw though …could be used for super easy WP’ing from enemies. xD that be annoying.
I used it with traps, and it allright imo, burst damage is pritty kitten high as well esspecially with quicness. you can burst them quicer then they can escape your traps.. ofc situational. but try it
dont even need trapper runes (was using valkyrie/traveler armor)
rapit fire hit about 10k, autoattack 1.5k

even managed a 1v2 but I guess that does not say much at this point but don’t write it off just yet!
Might it be possible to add a small compas to the mini-map that displays night/day cycle? like you had in for example the Fable games, to indicate how long till day or night?

I honestly will miss having it though as other traits in the section are just too valuble.
Another keen eye thingy when we are on the UI topic :P.. compare specilisations art from guardian to that of the thiefs….. thiefs looks much less polished… like it looks very rushed compare to the other art panels in specializations. at least imo. but I really pay attention to that kind of stuff… XD
I hope they revert it to the original hidden thief, over them chaning it to blindingpoweder with cd..
reasons being:
1- Harder to play with other thiefs.. keep stealthing eachother unannounced
2- Makes it much harder to combo with (steal + C&D or not..?) xD

Its a forum, people are free to voice there opinions. If you disagree just say so, but don’t shoot the guys opinion down just because you do not agree.
I think it looks ok, but its unusual for it to not have a bit transparency, as that’s usually the GUI style of gw2 so might be out of place

From how I understood it, movement skills would no longer get range alterations based on boons and conditions (swiftness would increase the range of a hearth seeker for example, Chill would reduce the range) with quicness becomming an Boon… this really punishes people getting quicness as there range is cut in half.
I think its a bug, could be intended though

Here is what I would like to see. If Anet wants to keep being Anet and wish to stick to there policies they had since GW1 about no gear grind for stats.
The perfect middle route, And I say this while being a wvw player with 4 acended armor sets:
Disable the difference between acended/exotic stat in WvW, and ONLY make it have a difference in PvE, The acc-bound bonus should be enough for wvw

I liked both phoenix, and beacon. But I chose beacon cause I felt like it fit better with lions arch and pirates etc. so old school nostalgia towards the town.

Guardians are the spiritual successors of Monks and Paragons in Guild Wars 2. So it be going backwards if they go back to paladin… perhaps. Unless you need its specific skills I guess..
I still think Warden would be a nice first profession for guardian.
Warden = a person responsible for the supervision of a particular place or thing or for ensuring that regulations associated with it are obeyed.

Dragon hunter…. wow… NO please NO that does not fit at all with the game and epic naming of current classes…. why not something cooler more in line with tempest and chronomancer….
… Besides How can one hunt dragons???? if there are little real dragons.. must be one lazy procession :/ Hunting specific things is never a good name example xD I like the concept of traps ect… but why such a bad name that inclines you hunt 1 specific thing… must have been watching too much anime xD
Hello I am Seth Alre… And I am a D/D Thief for over 4000 hours.
I have loved it, hated it and loved it again. And I still play it 4 hours a day on an average base. I even had a period where I made some YouTube videos with it…
Well I am afraid, I am very very afraid. That there will be darkness to come specifically to d/d players like me… D/D which I personally consider one of the hardest sets to play as a thief and most fun to fight as opponents.
As they already made D/D useless in PvP ages ago… I had hoped to find mercy for HoT…. But as it looks to me now I am wrong, very wrong. Looking at the newer simplified trait system I noticed every thing that made d/d still work is moved, gone or changed so much it won’t work the way we would want any longer. ( I do like how it looks visually lol, but read on and know my concerns)
I do not know all the details of what is becoming baseline and core systems so excuse me if I am wrong about certain things and feel free to correct me in that manner

In critical arts I used ‘’Trait I: gain fury when target is below 50%hp’’ This is no where to be found in the new trait system…
I used 7 % crit change on sides, oh good that one is still in I like that, odd that its now I instead of III though.
And I used executioner and hidden killer.. Hmm executioner moved to deathly arts OK I don’t care much about that, If I want I can trait into DA for that.

Now shadow arts.. I just don’t even recognise it anymore…
I am glad they left in the condi-clean on stealth and I can live with not having blind on stealthing….. but to give 3 totally useless traits in the middle line is beyond me… sure stealth on steal may sound nice…
But to me… that means not being able to use half of my combo’s that I use with steal ability F1
I do not want to be forced to stealth on steal. I want just 2 initiative on stealthing… its shadow arts not Steal arts.
And gaining some buff by reviving someone… well good luck gaining something from that when you mainly play solo. and well venom share trait that’s just not my play style. especially not for d/d. and even if I play in a team it would be a quite useless thing for a squishy like me. or a much to rare event as my roaming buddies are boss and don’t die often <3. (oh I jest.) (mostly if we die its a zerg that rolls us over so yea xD reviving is futile)
then acrobatics…
I used speed in stealth that’s there, and I used fall damage trait… but now they combined it with steal stealth something I do not want as it screws up my combo’s so I can’t really take it and feel comfortable. and that leaves me with? well not much.. rather spend the other 4 points into another trait line but well they simplified it, and took out about 50% of the creativity in making the builds… and 99% of the fun in doing it.
Honestly I do not see why they want to simplify a system that was so unique and so rewarding to play around with, I have never faced another MMORPG I liked making builds in as in GW2, I am a loyal GW2 player, I love about every work Anet did to the game truly I do. but this seems so wrong, I do not want to be alienated to the game I spend this much time and effort in. Changes are fine I love em.. but to overhaul a good system is weird to me. even if its easier to balance I think cutting out ability’s of a class is a bad idea..
I originally thought it would enhance build diversity so I got hyped till I noticed it became a line-click tingy with only 3 choices per level (adapt, master, Grand-master) and you cant even put adapt traits into the master lines… nor will you longer be able to spread around your points, something they made so amazing not even too long ago
So yea I am very worried…. I love lots of the new things I just think this new trait system will not work out as you guys at Anet hope, I believe simplifying it this much will just chase away veteran players, veteran players who make the best community in MMO gaming.
Unless of course I got it all wrong.. In that case I would stand corrected. Until then I am very worried I will be able to enjoy a class I main’ed for 4k hours, and loved. I’f I’d lose that sure I have 13 other characters but non of them will mean the same to me as my main thief.
And before you say, I don’t wanna become a full zerker d/d thief. I like skirmishing not fights that end in 5 sec with either me dead or my opponent dead. Any SA thief would understand this.
I know many of you will I say I should just adjust, and honestly I can not agree more.. but there is a limit to that, what is happening here is a cool system with tons of options, being trimmed down to a minimum, a shell, a shadow of its former ways. (unless I miss interpreted it all.)

But I am curious OP, how many exotics did you actually get? The rng is still so incredibly low its crazy how few exotics one person loots in the course of the game, and even those are not worth much.
Well RNG depends really a lot on magic find, content and other factors. (I got 170% mf).. If I play regular pve/wvw/pvp lets just estimate if I play 2 hour a day (which is terribly low for me) I get 1 a week at least. ofc I play much more then 2 hour a day on average base…. How ever the satisfaction factor is dropping for me unless its a really nice exotic, But most are not even lvl 80 or very useless stats/runes.
Another thing is I think is… loot got much more complicated in terms of values or what you can do with it all (especially to new players)

GW2 has a slight issue that I think is actually really stressing out players, especially new once….
and that is the overflowing amount of clutter from loot…… bags get full in 10 min, where you have to spend 20 min to clean it up again.
GW2 is about playing not reading quest logs or managing your inventory, Since launch the loot keeps increasing and increasing….. this means… the Satisfaction vector of actually getting loot reached the level of oh.. ok cool.. instead of AMAZING! (unless you get a pre-cursor ofc
)
Well I got an Idea that might just work.
I was wondering if it is possible or perhaps even already on the agenda…
too add fun-items/cosmetic items such as Tonics, music instruments, other gemstone items into the wardrobe…
And more ways to use bloodstone dust etc. Or at least make it clear there is an item for it to the new players. I think it would really help.
Another Idea is to add Items such as Bandit crests, geonodes, Skeleton keys and alike into the wallet.. just like what happened with the dungeon tokens, and wvw badges.
Don’t get me wrong, I love loot… I just wish I would not need to carry over 100 items with me (such as tonics) That apart from new players thinking like what?! is all this stuff in my inventory, what do I need to do with it!?

Am I the only one who really doubt the upcomming change to blinding powder is good?
I think I will hate it…
Scenario:
I follow a player and slash at em with some attacks, then I want to do a quic backstep, so I use blind powder to interupt my own autoattack so I can do a very quic follow up backstap.
If that is gone it will make it only more annoying…. at least for me.
Anyone else really doubting the change for the ’’better’’ will only make it much worse?
what do other thiefs that use the utility think?
but who knows it might be even more brilliant. time will tell ^^

I hate the fact that it Blinding powder will no longer intterupt!…… when I am autoattacking and want to do an backstap it will now instead reveal me on autoattacking when notmal (atm it would cencel my autoattack and makes me able to do a backstap…) there goes on fly offencive use.

I actually like it better now.
As for last refuge I hardly ever have the problem with it. And it saves my live more times then it kills me. (3k hour thief experiance.)
If you get screwed its either bad luck or you dinnt play carefull enough.

This work is a practice work, and a submission for a school assignment.
Its been a month or so that I work with Photoshop now, and I am pleased with my results.
The assignment was to make a mock up of a picture from a game, And as I play GW: 2 a lot it’s only obvious what my choice of game is.
I chose a concept art, one that is used as loading screen of straits of devastation.
I will upload the original, and a changed one in which I added hand drawn Airships and a edit too the mood setting to give it a warmer feel.

I dont really understand this… why would they make so much problems for them selfs by doing this.
there are so many people who spend months making the weapon, feeling amazing that they accomplished making 2 legendarys. taking pride in it being noted by others…
this will kill all the fun in having duo legendary’s (incinerator for example…)
It would be so much better to exclude legendarys from this system and instead make them simply accbound! why do we want an increase of at least 50% in legendarys roaming around tyria??? It will be the most common weapon in the game. Making those six month a waste of time… and legendary’s WORTHLESS
make it accbount everyone will gain from this… you can swap it around, but you still hold the value of the items, it will still be more special and rare to have 2 incinerators or bolts or what ever legendary…. Let us keep the effort we put in to it..
and this is only the part about legendary not too mention the over 200 transmutation gems spend on armors.. and the dozen bought gemstore armors.
If not. Id rather be compensated fairly
That said,
I think this is an amazing patch otherwise… if only they notified sooner so I did not salvaged a dozen skins cause of low storage but for the average player this is great..
just plz think about the players that put most effort in this game
